Bracknell/Axbridge Maps
The Chimeran onslaught continues in these two additional multiplayer maps for Resistance: Fall of Man™. Fight for survival in the gloom of an abandoned railway system at Bracknell, or struggle to repel the enemy from a network of bases spanning the valley at Axbridge. Download the pack now for a chilling new combat challenge.
Continue the fight to save Britain – and the human race – in two incredible new locations, with additional multiplayer maps for Resistance: Fall of Man™.
In the Bracknell map, the struggle against the Chimera comes to the cavernous spaces of an old railway system – now a Chimeran node. Expect intense close-quarters fighting as you explore three storeys of dimly lit spawning rooms and disused train carriages.
The Axbridge map, meanwhile, consists of two resistance bases spanning a valley strewn with rocks and Chimeran structures. Find yourself a secret perch among the cliffs on either side or brave the walled ‘theatre of combat’ on the valley floor, and prepare for battle: the enemy will show no mercy.

Am i right i thinking these new maps only apply to the online modes? Iv’e not quite finished the one player mode yet! I’ve just blown up Tower Bridge but then i started playing Assassins Creed (which i’m loving despite the occasional freeze).
Not too fussed if it’s for online only, but it is a good game none the less.
Does anyone know if Pain is to get a european release tomorrow?

Will the old map pack become free eventually like Microsoft tend to do with Gears of War, GRAW and Halo 3? Cause $7 AU for 2 maps seems abit of a rip of.

Interesting.
I will as usual get sucked in to buying all and anything that comes out no doubt.
I used to live in Bracknell too. Still how much ££ is this going to bite me for ?
Comment by komp — Nov 28, 2007 @ 1:42 pm
They should include the previous map pack with this one. More value = more incentive to bite = more map owners = better chances to play on the maps. I don’t mind paying for maps, but it sucks that from 10 matches it’s like 1 match on the new maps

Hahah! Bracknell! Of all places. Actually I think the Chimera would blend in with the local slappers.

@ Reakt - Now now. I went to Bracknell once and there are some lovely girls there.

Oh crickey, I haven’t played R:FoM since Warhawk arrived. I tried the other week when that last patch came out, but I was crap. I need to invest time in it again, but while Warhawk is still so ace, it ain’t got a hope. Oh well, I’ll still get the new maps for when I get around to playing it again. I just hope there will be enough people on line when I do.

@10, lol..Whammy!
And as old as RFOM is, its still on hell of an online experience, that all PS3 players should par take in. Again a Ground Breaking ( Yes, 40players on console) game that we got Day one. I am BOOSTED to see what they’ll come with for the sequel. Its seems to be the only be an issue with TIME for developers. I.E. them not having enough of it with cell and the ps3 specs itself. Insomniac is proving ( Ratchet n Clank) that they are learning, and learning well they are (lol..yoda). All additonal material here, for one is only Juicen and boosting 2.

@ Rick - Rick call the PlayStation Careline on 08705 99 88 77. Someone there should be able to help you if you can’t get to the bottom of it. TS.

Bracknell is a right pikey sh*th*le that deserves to be shot up and trashed.

[…] So two new multiplayer areas are a welcome addition, and Three Speech has all of the details on the "Bracknell" and "Axbridge" maps. An old railway system, "Bracknell" is a close-quarters, three-story cavernous space. "Axbridge" is one of those popular "valley maps," with secret perches, rocks, and other valley-like features, like Chimeran structures. As if. […]
