F.E.A.R fans - here’s some news about the sequel. It officially got its name today: Project Origin. It was actually named by fans who sent in suggestions to the developers.
“Our team really enjoyed letting the fans drive the naming process, and we are excited to expand upon the work we began in the original game and establish Project Origin as a premier gaming franchise in its own right”
You can find more info on the name here – as well as some of the rejected names that were sent in.

come on threespeech at least put some effort in!
Try “6 days ago” rather than “today”.

They’d better do a better job than what they did with their PS3 port, because otherwise Killzone 2 will completely destroy it.
Comment by VG Aficionado — Sep 12, 2007 @ 2:34 pm
FEAR was complete rubbish! Ancient graphics and choppy framerate made it pretty much unplayable.
Comment by Terry — Sep 12, 2007 @ 3:05 pm

Erk, okay, that news slipped by us unnoticed. Your collective diligence is, as ever, appreciated.

no news about stronghold demo (EU)
no news about Ninja gaiden upgrade pack (EU)
no news about Dark resurrection online pack(EU)
sorry threespeech but more and more you’r looking the same as the EU store of PS3,
only releasing old things (news)
Comment by Darkie — Sep 12, 2007 @ 4:57 pm
Darkie, GT5 Prologue (2007) not only is NOT A DEMO, but the rumored pricing has been debunked as nothing is decided yet. There’s no word on GT5’s final release date, you’re posting groundless speculation. And isn’t the FIFA 08 demo being released this week anyway?

VG aficionando:
“Originally, various internet sources had claimed that price news had been announced by Sony Computer Entertainment Benelux (covering Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg) during a press event.”
of which the biggest gamesites of the netherlands were present
so the only thing we can conclude,
Sony Benelux,is telling the wrong stories.
but first annoucing that the prologue was free,
and 2 months after the same announcements,
say we have to pay..
then also still bothering threespeech,
they are “semi-official”,which also means official,
why not informing us with the information which do matter,
crap support of the EU store,
information which other gamesites releases after official anouncements from sony,
which weird enough we don’t find on the sony official PS3-site or forum,
and also not on this one,while this one,is giving the information as “semi-official”

Updated PS3 and PSP Firmware+ Posted by Eric Lempel // Director, PlayStation Network Operations
Taking into account customer feedback and some internal testing, we will be making available in the next few days a firmware update for the PS3 (1.93) that fixes the network disconnect issue that some of you have experienced as a result of downloading Firmware 1.92.
Comment by Terry — Sep 12, 2007 @ 11:53 pm
Terry, yes, all games can be imported. So, fuck SCEE and stop buying their games. Give money to a division that actually earns it - SCEA.
This blog is even cheap and crap. You guys have no answers for in-game XMB, games, crappy ps store updates, matter fact nothing. Just stop please, Im sick of this shit. I was going to ask for Singstar, HS, Lair, and Warhawk for XMAS, but since they’ll all be delayed and crap, Im getting a 360.
Comment by Carl — Sep 13, 2007 @ 12:09 am

“I was going to ask for Singstar, HS, Lair, and Warhawk for XMAS, but since they’ll all be delayed and crap, Im getting a 360.”
I’ve read and re-read your post, and I’m still not quite getting the problem…
HS is out tomorrow, WarHawk has been out for about a week and as you rightly pointed out you can import Lair as it’s out in the US. The only game in your list that hasn’t been formally dated is Singstar. And to top it all, you’re asking for them all for Christmas, so you wouldn’t actually be playing them until December. So even if they’re delayed by a month, it wouldn’t actually affect you.
I do hope Santa is listening, and you get your 360. Until then, please keep reminding us about the earth-shattering importance of the in-game XMB.

I installed the Time Trial update for motorstorm a while back but have only just tried loading it up since I bought that new track, thing is the games doesn’t work anymore. I get the PS3 spalsh screen then it goes blank and thats it! Anyone else had this problem? Every other games works perfectly fine.
@20
Would love to come back o nthat but your right, only thing wrong in that is Lair is meant to be terrible lol.
Woo…
Comment by Terry — Sep 14, 2007 @ 9:35 am
21, Did you even READ the update information?
It says you need to UPDATE online FIRST then download the time trial.
To fix it you need to delete the game system data, then go online and install the ONLINE update THEN install the time trial.
Comment by carl — Sep 14, 2007 @ 10:09 am
@22
Yeah I updated the game online first before downloading the time trial.
Comment by Terry — Sep 14, 2007 @ 11:37 am

where are the wallpapers (or how much time
takes it to translate these)
where are the free Video clips,as the Aussies have them in there store…
yes im a cheap ass dutchie who payed 599 euros for this machine and gets tired of being played like this.
the reason of which i would by the other console (MS) is the fact that they do give their customers the online experience which sony is simply not doing for the EU..
i surely hope sony stops neglacting the EU-region,
especially holland, else i’m going to send letters to Guerilla (killzone) which is based in HOLLAND,
Not the US,not Korea,not Japan.
less content online (paid) means less income.
more content online means more profit!!!!!!
we are the ones who supposed to be in control
I’m From holland where the ….. your from ???
Comment by Darkie — Sep 14, 2007 @ 11:50 am
@24
What are the video clips that the ozzies have got? Looks like I might need another account lol.
Comment by Terry — Sep 14, 2007 @ 12:26 pm
@24
I feel your pain, but take a breath and relax mate.
Or if it makes you feel better then go ahead and write to Guerilla. They may be your fellow countrymen based in Holland, but they were acquired by Sony after the original Killzone was released. So I’m not too sure what kind of effect you’re expecting to have.
Since when have we ever been in control? You paid them for the machine, not for shares in the company. They’ll do what they do, if you don’t like it then you don’t buy their product. The only influence you’ll ever really have is currency. If you don’t like it, don’t pay for it. Give your money to someone else. All the ranting about the store content over here just goes to prove that their drip-feeding technique is working people into a frenzy. Thursdays used to be like every other day, but now all the messageboards and blogs are primed to explode as soon as we know what has been released.
No publicity is bad publicity.
