Why are these screenshots at 3840×2160 when obviously the game won’t be?
Means they aren’t screenshots at all.

The game is looking great but will it have online play?
Comment by Akhtar — Aug 21, 2007 @ 12:21 pm
Akhtar, No it wont have online play.
They spent there time on single player mode which is very good.
Threespeech when the demo out?

ThreeSpeech, can you confirm whether this will be released in Europe this year, or is it going to be an import job?

@Robert: game developers have the ability to get game engines to render at any resolution. This is used to provide print publications with images of high enough quality to publish and use as artwork. These images may still be screenshots taken from the game but then rendered at the higher resolution. For an example you can perform yourself Gran Turismo 4 and Tourist Trophy on PS2 offered the same ability. While the game ran at 640×480-ish you could produce your own photo at 1280×1024. Ratchet and Clank Future appears to be 1280×720 ingame.

This game looks really sweet. Most places are starting to publish comments from this gamers day and the overwhelming response is that this will be a AAA title for PS3, it looks great and offers up more of the same great R&C gameplay we have all fallen in love with over the last generation games.
This is a definate purchase for me, the misses loves it too!

Oh wow, those pictures look fantasic, looks like your playing a near-looking GCI animation film. Can’t wait!
Comment by Shanie — Aug 21, 2007 @ 2:52 pm
They won’t look like that when actually playing the game on your PS3 Shanie. The resolution is increased for ahem… publication purposes and artwork, not at all to make the game look a lot better than it actually will be, allegedly.

All very well, but without a EU Release date, pointless.
Will we get stuffed AGAIN by later than US release date? I think it’s a safe bet..
