If anyone didn’t think LBP was looking incredible already, Kotaku have got their hands on some awesome new screens. These are taken from a work in progress build of the game so, by the time we get our hands on it, who knows where it will have headed…
The game has a planned release date of September with a rumoured open beta happening sometime before that. We can’t wait for this one.
Check out the rest of the images here.

Open Beta? ME ME ME ME ME!!!

Why do you tease us so ?
This is one seriously good looking game though, probably my most wanted of 08. It just keeps looking better and better each time I see a new piccy.

I hope all these Beta’s come off, i mean we have a Beta for this, MGS4, Killzone 2, Home…. i cant help thinking that our cousins over the pond will get all the Beta testing and we will have to wait, more users to test i suppose, what was the last Beta anyone in the UK got into (officially)…..?
Still great to see this game coming along nicely.

Is that a subversion revision stamped on the images? Not a bad idea =)

LBP TKA! Can’t wait for it to come out.
Btw, I don’t know what you TSs did, but RSS feeds are no longer working from Firefox
.

The only RSS from FF not working for me is “PlayTV recordings: No DRM”.
LPB might well be the Killer App that the PS3 has been waiting for.
I’m not betting on MGS4, KZ2, MotorStorm, Resistance2 or GT5 to be the ones that will be the killer apps. Why? Simply because they’re old franchises (in most cases) and we’ve seen too much of them already! I’d have preferred them to be shrouded in a bit more mystery and then just explode onto the scene on an unsuspecting media and public.
But LPB - no matter how much of it you put in the press- the next bunch of screenshots look completely different from the previous! And that’s a testament to its flexibility and diversity, which I think are going to be its differentiators.
I hope for three things to happen to LPB when it’s finally released:
1. No public beta. Just focus on releasing the game.
2. It’s released world-wide at the same time.
3. There’ll never be a LPB2; the first one just gets updated on PSN as time goes on. A new concept, if you will, whereby the actual engine code is updated, not just new packs, maps, levels being created by the developers and/or public.
That would be something…

This game is beginning to look super yum-yum, even to my cynical, bloodthirsty eyes.
Haze is still the big 08 release for me, though.

boo.. well i’m on a sodding omega at the moment
i belive in what zed zee is saying though…this really has huge potential, although i’d love to see an open beta! methinks the majority of the game is infact finished…just tweaking an final playtesting…bring it on…to the public!
