Good news for those eagerly awaiting Konami’s Metal Gear Solid 4 (really, who isn’t?) – Ryan Payton, speaking from Kojima Productions on Tuesday, said that they were starting work on an English demo.
“As of tomorrow, we’re going to start working on the English demo… Anything I say beyond what I’m going to say is going to incriminate me and people are going to know what I’m hinting at.”
Cryptic stuff!
No news on when this will be available just yet - keep tuned for more info.
Perhaps an “English” demo implies that there may already be a Japanese demo? In which case it could mean its closer than you think - perhaps…

Pretty much did that with the MGS2 demo from Zone of the Enders.. then the slightly extended demo from OPS2M.

Here is an idea worthy of the Smithmeister himself, it makes for a very interesting idea form Pig Face on the uk PS3 forum.
Would anyone be interested in forming a gamer`s union?
We could vote on issues and action eg. boycotting a microtransaction if the majority of members considered it bad value or if they felt it had been purposely held back from the original game.
It would give us an official voice and unified courses of action to take when things were not going our way.
We could have delegates who meet up with sony execs and developers to put forward the members concerns and ideas.
I think we should all go for it.

I can’t help but think your right, in the old days they used a demo to stir up anticipation, now they do the same with demo’s. Still, I expect the demo wont be out this side of christmas…

just watched ‘em playing the jap version of the demo on gamer tv. no need to download the english version now *grins* they stated a simultaneous global release for the game.
