The British Academy Video Games Awards nominees have been announced and PS2 and PS3 games feature quite heavily. The actual event will be held on Tuesday 23rd October so we look forward to seeing how the games will do. It seems that gaming is fast becoming accepted as an equivalent of the film industry, which is great, and following the cinematic aspects/Hollywood actor-led motion capture of the likes of Heavenly Sword, the industry as a whole is receiving its due attention.

I would also like to know where Sony’s statement is.
Comment by DelUK — Sep 26, 2007 @ 6:54 pm
Anyone find this VERY suspicious?
So much PS2/PS3 domination, many games not even out yet, even in demo form…
Hmm..
Comment by Mark Gillespie — Sep 26, 2007 @ 8:00 pm
Same here about the statement..
Btw, whats up with using capital letters on all recent posts?
Comment by Stormon — Sep 26, 2007 @ 8:15 pm
it’s not suspicious .. they just didn;t include all the wii, ds and 360 titles. shame the ps3 titles are up against titles like bioshock and gears of war which will wipe the floor with them. shame

Comment by Terry — Sep 27, 2007 @ 9:29 am
I dont htink Heavenly Sword should have got many awards, dont get me wrong its an amazing piece of work but its over waaaaaay too quickly or at least it would be if I could beat the final boss who is just too hard.
Comment by Terry — Sep 27, 2007 @ 10:04 am
@ Stormon - It’s always been like that with the caps.
Comment by Three Speech — Sep 27, 2007 @ 10:20 am
How on earth can Singstar be up for an award?
They cannot possibly have a clue how it has been recieved by the public as we have not recieved it yet.
Just like all these awards things eveywhere it is just industry nobs patting themselves on the back for some reason.
