  4. I wish this site was more of an inside scoop on what we can look forward to with PlayStation Network or upcoming games. But unfortunately there’s more PS3-related news on every other gaming website.

And what do we have here? The 100th user-created commercial? I hate to be so bitter, but is the “semi-official” status of this site the cause of it being so bland?

    Comment by Travis — Apr 12, 2007 @ 3:08 pm

  5. And what the heck was that all about then! Total utter rubbish!

  6. i dont like this, wtf is going on here? o.O

    april fools over..
who posted this?? you need to get fired dude, this sux.

is this a official sony site or not? certainly doesnt look like it sometimes :(

  7. This is not a official site … why do people just keep getting disillusions that three speech is one.
Nice music… thou. You want official go SONY.COM

    Comment by HenderSon — Apr 12, 2007 @ 4:35 pm

  8. Travis-this site is anything but ’semi-official’. It’s owned by a marketing company that Sony directly contracts to.

Think ‘AllIWant…PSP’ site, but with less attempt for ignorant ’street cred’, and more tripe.

Seriously-why doesn’t the Sony Gaming division talk w/the other devisions in Sony for assistance here-they’re floundering this gen at very best. Is it because of Ken? Does there need to be some housecleaning at the top?

    Comment by Matt — Apr 12, 2007 @ 4:36 pm

  9. Matt, I’m sorry but what are you even doing here? I thought you’d have noticed that nobody cares about who is behind the site, that we’re all over the “OMGZ ITS LIEK ALL I WANT IS A PSP!11!!” by now.

Other than that, this isnt even a marketing site - its called communications, public relations. Where here do you see any influence telling you to buy a PS3? Okay, they show trailers / reviews etc, but they’re not exactly going to show Xbox 360 stuff - and nowhere does it say “PS3 is the best, now go buy one bitches!”.

Now, I agree that this post was pretty pointless and of no use to anyone, but your constant attacks are getting pretty boring - so please, change the record.

  10. I don’t know if melding Sylvester Stallone and the Playstation brand is a good thing. But maybe nobody caught that?

    Comment by nmc75 — Apr 12, 2007 @ 6:45 pm

  11. Matt, I said “semi-official” because that’s what they say in their short description of the site in the sidebar. Whether they are directly controlled by Sony or not is irrelevent.

The site should be giving Sony customers useful information that they can’t find elsewhere. That would be the advantage of being able to talk to Sony and get inside information.

Yet every news story, like the 20gb no longer being sold in North America, doesn’t even show up on this site. And they post these user-videos almost to make a point that they’re ignoring important news.

I just don’t get it. Sony really needs a Major Nelson type of thing.

    Comment by Travis — Apr 12, 2007 @ 7:58 pm

  12. Travis-I believe you’re incorrect in one regard.

Since these folks are directly employed by Sony, we gamers should be able to get word directly from them on issues, and there shouldn’t be any excuse for it.

I agree with you 1,000% about what you have said. This site could be so much more and it isn’t. Sony desperately needs a better PR face, and something like this blog could be it if effort and time were put into it.

Then again, with the PS3 these days, it too could be so much more, but it isn’t. Hopefully someone will clean house upstairs so Sony can make their system and name sell to the masses again.

    Comment by Matt — Apr 12, 2007 @ 8:20 pm

  13. Sorry Travis-I meant ‘I agree with you 1,000/1.000% about everything else you’ve said’.

I forgot that there are folks across the big pond reading this too.

  14. talking about the video again; Now This Is The Commercial They Should Be Showing In Europe, And America.. why, This Should Be The Campaign Right Here! hah..

    Comment by Nymo — Apr 12, 2007 @ 9:56 pm

  15. Haha, that’s a funny video. the close up on Stallone’s neck then his goofy smile was good :P

    Cheers!

    Comment by Matthew — Apr 12, 2007 @ 9:59 pm

  16. Nice. If Three Speech is going the Kotaku style gaming blog but centered just around Sony, that’s fine with me.

But yes, more PS3 scoops everyday would be quite delish.

  17. If you dont like the website you can just not visit it

    Comment by Roger — Apr 13, 2007 @ 10:54 am

  18. Ah, but that depends on whether or not you’re being paid to not like it… ;-)

  20. dont get me wrong..
i like this website, obviously or i would not be here

i like a lot of things sony are doing, i think the spiderman theme going on is awesome and the story, i think, got some paralells with whats going on in this”console” war, but have peter parker gotten rid of all of the venom?

surely, at times it seems like you are working against yourselves

this is not the time to be lazy, you are up against one of the biggest company in the world. As proven last fall they have the money and ties to spin media in a very convincing way, and mistakes add fuels to that fire.

its the practice of making it look real, just tell ppl over and over that you are the top dog, and eventually that will be the general opinion.

the counter measure is your PR department including this website… wich atm. could be better

ps. i love the inclusion of linux, what a delightful way of telling MS to go f*** themselves :D

    rep+++

  22. “its the practice of making it look real, just tell ppl over and over that you are the top dog, and eventually that will be the general opinion.”

ahh now i get it, that is why xbox has been so “succesfull” in U.S

We are all sheep with no brain, doing whatever the media tells us to.

this is truer in U.S than in any other country in the world, i believe a survey found that 1 of 4 americans are dangerously nearing the mental barrier of being retarded

    and thats why
after the 3.2 bn brainwash campaign of MS the general consense is (at least in US)
that xbox is the better console(when its obviously not so).

thank you for opening my eyes whatdafunk
