Hi all,
Kicking off 2007, here’s some pretty stunning new MotorStorm screen shots - the first shows the multiplayer function, with Evolution planning on enabling up to 15 people to play a game together online; the latter two show the night time level.
Plenty more to come from Three Speech in the near future, so stay tuned.

Looking nice! Good to see some new screens for this game. My copy arrives next week after hammering the demo for quite some time and I’m really looking forward to the EU version later this year.

Will this include offline multiplayer? I sure hope so….

Am I the only one who thinks the night time level is just a gimmick? I mean common, no headlights?!
Put in headlights and it would be amazing!

The pics were taken on the 11th December 2006… how long do you need to upload something >

December 11? If anything, the filenames indicate November 14.
Anyway, have you ever heard of embargoes? Because those may very well be the reasons why we haven’t seen these screenshots and many others before.

Incredible!
I can’t wait for this game. Honestly I think this is the best overall rendering in a game.
Not to mention best physics.
And wicked fun gameplay.
Ok, Ill go back to waiting…

Oh, and IGN features the first screenshot of the online mode. 15 players confirmed, and you know, it’s for free

MotorStorm will be the first PS3 game I buy, no doubt about it!

Is there any truth to MotorStorm being 1080p 60fps Resolution now? This was stated by a SONY VP during CES.

#13 (majormauser)#
He (Sony VP) mistakenly said MotorStorm was running at 1080p, which is incorrect. It runs at 720p.

I’ve heard 3 different sony people talk about 1080p and 60fps. Are we *sure* this is not going to happen? It seams like something that would only be hyped if true.
The people that said it will happen:
1) Peter Dille, Sony Computer Entertainment America’s senior VP of marketing
2) David Dille - Some Sony PR guy?
3) Interview with Sony PR @ CES

Oh and for the offline multiplayer question…
In an interview with Edge, MotorStorm developer Evolution Studios said they might introduce split-screen mode to their upcoming over-the-top driver if there is enough demand for it.
“Does Evolution have any plans (even at this late stage) to implement any split-screen options in the US/PAL versions of MotorStorm? [From: Anthony N Putson]
Rally Evolved dropped split-screen and we’ll probably leave it that way for MotorStorm unless we get an overwhelming demand. Splitting all that high-def detail into two is a performance nightmare.
Split-screen racing requires compromised visual/aural fidelity to accommodate multiple simultaneous views of the environment. For our PlayStation 3 debut, we elected to spend our entire processing/rendering budget on a single view, relying on the more compelling online experience to provide multiplayer thrills…”
