‘Linkin Park Fan’ over at the GameGrep Forums wasn’t over enamoured with the idea of making a ’stupid cabinet or DVD shelf’ in his wood shop class, so he decided to make a real life Heavenly Sword. He would have made it from metal but unfortunately his school only has a wood shop. Ahhh… His friends said he wouldn’t be able to do it but he did. It’s three feet long (look out!), and is ‘as light as a feather, a feather that can kill’. Nice work!
Ironically, he says, ‘I was the first one to get cut by my sword. I let a kid hold it and he got a little power hungry, started swinging it around and cut me in the arm. For a wooden sword, it sure cuts well’.
Wish I was at school again!
Thanks to Krunal from GameGrep.

We’ve just been taking a look at the statistics for Three Speech and, in the past few weeks, we’ve had visitors from as far away as Angola, Zimbabwe, Greenland, Samoa, Botswana, Iraq, Bolivia, Aruba and Suriname, to name a few. Even though we are a UK-based site, with a majority of UK readers, it’s interesting to see how far you are coming from. Are you one of our more far-flung visitors?
Echocrome is a quirky PSN title developed by Sony’s Japan Studios for PS3 and PSN. It’s a puzzle game that involves the manipulation of a 3D world that the player then has to navigate and overcome obstacles to find the exit point.
We’ll be back with a hands on impression once we’ve had chance to sample the demo ourselves but until then check out the video on perspective gameplay from GDC via GameTrailers.

Anyone else getting quietly addicted to this one?
Originally set for release last year, Army Of Two from EA is a two player co-op third person shooter that allows gamers to battle it out in current day war zones. Players will need to make the most of their partner, utilising unique two-man strategies and tactics in order to survive. Your partner in the game is there to support your progress through the game, thanks to the “Partner Artificial Intelligence” (PAI) system. If you would rather not have your partner controlled by the system a second player can join in on the action.
The reviews are out on Army Of Two and so far they look good GamePro gave the game 4/5, DailyGame gave 8.3/10 and LazyGamer scored Army of Two 85 / 100. Check out more reviews here. If you would rather see the game in action check out the Gametrailers preview.
Co-op is the main focus of the gameplay and is greatly complimented by the aggro system, which, even though there is a wide array of weaponry, will be a big help to you. The system is based on the level of forcefulness of your soldier, the more aggressive you are in the game the more your enemies will focus all of their attention on you. Initially this seems to be more of a problem than a bonus, but when you consider you have two players at your disposal you start to understand the benefits of this system. If all of your enemies are focused on one player the other player is free to sneak up on enemies in a battle situation. The other benefit to the aggro system is the overkill effect which happens when you maintain a constant level of aggression. This allows players to benefit from improved damage and unlimited rate of fire.
Players take on the role of two ex-army rangers and now mercenaries, Tyson Rios and Elliot Salem. The two are dispatched to troubled war zones across the globe in order to take care of any problems in place. The more involved Rios and Salem become in their mission, the more disturbing facts they learn. We don’t want to give too much away here, but they eventually learn of a conspiracy within their organisation and set out for revenge. Sounding good to us.
