Once the EU blog is running we’ll have to contend with “scenesters” who are like “FIRST!!!” and “Xbox suck”….I Don’t wanna have to deal with pre-pubescent fanbots!!!
Going to need to mark my territory >.< *looks around for trees*

@Dojo
Aslong as ONE of us TS folk get to the site and at least mark our territory within the first 10/20 posts ill be a happy chappy.
We will add the Eu Blogs biological and technological distinctiveness to our own…resistance is futile

Not able to get around it via third party proxy sites? or are the word filters killing those for you?
*gfeels your pain*
Comment by JohnSketch — May 28, 2009 @ 1:11 pm
@sketch - I’ve tried proxy avoidance and those sites are all blocked off too *sulks*
Comment by marvzilla — May 28, 2009 @ 1:29 pm
It’s a bit crowded in there don’t you think. Seeing as it’s linked to your PSN, surely you could highlight people on your friends list in some way.
Which reminds me, Marv, I can’t remember whether I added you mate. I presume your PSN is the same as your username here?
I’ll add you when I get back if you don’t mind.

Yea, feels a bit congested. The names were hard to spot at first. Looks ok tho.
Comment by E-ROLE — May 28, 2009 @ 2:46 pm
Launch post has 386 comments already! It’s only been posted for a couple of hours! We’ve been commenting in the last ThreeSpeech article for 7 weeks and are still no where near that!!!!
Congrats to Pablo being the first ever commenter on the site! Nice we kept it in the ‘family’ lol
Where were all these people during the ThreeSpeech era? This is what makes me sad, how can we have a nice banter with the regulars in between 386 comments!!!
I think ThreeSpeech Regulars should have special yellow comments so they stand out! lol
I’m both happy and sad in equal measure
Comment by Apnomis — May 28, 2009 @ 2:46 pm
@pablo - you’re correct, my psn is marvzilla feel free to add me! Gonna have to learn everyones PSN names now then

Comment by reakt — May 28, 2009 @ 4:00 pm
wo-wa-we-wah! Wasn’t expecting another post.
Good bye again TS!
Comment by whoelse — May 28, 2009 @ 4:01 pm
Well having been there for a bit poking about I must say I actually quite like the new site, and dare I say it I think it actually trumps the US Blog in the design stakes!
It’s nice to see the EU blog are embracing it in the same way and the actual people at SCEE posting actual news about what they’re doing and (*gasp*) even replying directly to peoples comments! It’s a brave new world!
Let’s hope they keep up with the flow of content, and let’s hope we are able to keep up with each others comments! it’s hard to spot people, but it’s nice when I bump into an old TS regular in the crowd! Having the avatars help as I know what most people ‘look like’ from my PSN list.
I guess Sony really do have some huge announcements in store at E3 that required the EU Blog up and running in time to report them!

@E-ROLE
It was always going to happen mate - we are a tiny spec amongst 23 million ps3 owners.
It’s like Moe’s, where nobody knows your name…
Hopefully it will calm down a bit after yesterday’s launch, although the ‘danger’ is that the prospect of getting a reply to your question drives up the identikit “what about xxx patch/game/update” comments.
At least the blog staff are being very enthusiastic in their responses at the moment. Like the idea of an E3 screening/streaming in Home next week though. Think me and Apnomis are going to check it out.

Well the EU Blog has well and truly launched and I’m liking it there, and I’m liking that the old ThreeSpeech Regulars are still holding their own in the comments section!
Because of this, and on the back of the absolutely awesome Sony Press Conference (they owned MS this year IMO), I have decided that the time has finally come to move on.
This will be my last comments post at ThreeSpeech (unless it ever relaunches in the future) and I will now reside permenatantly over at the Official EU Blog.
Goodbye ThreeSpeech it’s been a pleasure! See you all on the other side…
Comment by Apnomis — Jun 2, 2009 @ 9:48 pm
Apnomis nooooooooooooooo, think of the Sketch!!
Haha, I must admit I haven’t checked back here too often, good to see the odd new comment popping up though.
I wonder when the hosting will end?
Comment by mrsatansdojo — Jun 3, 2009 @ 1:18 pm
Must admit, was surprised to see threespeech still up and running… not surprised to see many of the regulars here still spam… errr… posting here though!
Really like the look of the new official eu blog, though it seems a lot busier there than it ever did here. Makes it a lot harder to keep track of comments. Even JS’s frequent posts disappear in the crowd sometimes.

Comment by E-ROLE — Jun 9, 2009 @ 11:47 am
choc digestives are okay… but jaffa cakes rock. Pity you get so few in a packet though - makes long gaming periods difficult, as you often need to open a new packet at a critical moment. Have often been shot in warhawk while busily opening the biscuits!
Comment by MuggleMind — Jun 10, 2009 @ 10:59 am
Bought a lovely triple pack at asda - Hobnobs and 2 digestives for 1.20!!!

I’m still here.
@dojo and sketch, add me on PSN if you want easy kills in KZ2! Got the new maps, though I haven’t yet been on a server using them. I like the idea of the nuke, and the thought of jumping across on that train - knowing my luck, straight into one of those pillars!
Comment by MuggleMind — Jun 17, 2009 @ 8:43 am
Will do Muggle
I am really digging the new maps. If you are interested in joing the mighty TSR (Threespeech Regulars) Clan then let me know, we are usually outnumbered in every match we play.

Judging by your current KZ2 rank/score mate that does not surprise me!
what sort of bribe will it take for you to join TSR then?
Or are you a lone wolf a la Solid Snake?
Comment by mrsatansdojo — Jun 17, 2009 @ 2:10 pm
ooohhh brown envelope, non consecutive notes please
tbh I’m a bit of a lonewolf, I do have a clan and though we don’t play any clan games
we do play together quite alot and I wouldn’t want to leave them (I have to live with one of them!)
I tried to join a game with you and fp the other day but it froze and then booted me out as soon as I joined, will try again when I see you playing in a public game.

Comment by marvzilla — Jun 18, 2009 @ 11:49 am
yeah, always good for a laugh:
“YOU PROMISED ME TEH METAL GEAR SOLID, NOW I MUST KILL MYSELF”
“I HATE YOUUUUUU!”
Here’s a game for you marv, see how many times you can spot the phrase ’second class citizens’.
Godspeed!
Comment by mrsatansdojo — Jun 18, 2009 @ 12:08 pm
also, has anyone noticed the distinct lack of a Mr Zed Zee on the official blog?
Could that be a result of (as suspected) the fact that he doesn’t actually own a PS3 so can’t sign in to post comments?
Comment by mrsatansdojo — Jun 18, 2009 @ 12:29 pm
@dojo would be proud to join TSR - though you might regret it, considering how bad I can be at some games! Still, I guess every clan needs someone that can be used as cannon fodder.
Comment by MuggleMind — Jun 18, 2009 @ 12:49 pm
Muggle, we’ll strap a package to you and send you over the top!
I’ll send you an invite to the clan when I get home (or will see if I can do it on Killzone.com). I was trying to organise a match/tourney for tonight actually if you are around?
Comment by mrsatansdojo — Jun 18, 2009 @ 12:54 pm

Comment by marvzilla — Jun 22, 2009 @ 10:59 am
It sucks you can’t click on peeps names on the Eu blog and see more info about them, or a linked web site like threespeech does. One of the things that makes the blog very dead and boring so far, hope things get better.
Saying that tho, they have done some good things with the blog.
Comment by E-ROLE — Jun 22, 2009 @ 7:46 pm

lol - guess I should put my hand up as an addict too then. Not sure PSN games or PS1 classics, but I have 42 blu ray games. Probably only got about 20 or so PSN games, and maybe the same (a dozen or so) PS1 classics at most.
We should post, and see who is the most addicted of all here!
Comment by MuggleMind — Jul 8, 2009 @ 1:26 pm
I think I’m the winner here, 4-5 Amstrad, 54 C64 games, 8 gameboy, 25 mega drive, 8 n64, 14 ps1, 30 ps2, 14 gamecube, 15 ps3, 4-5 psn and 21 pc games!
And I’m sure I’m forgeting something.
Comment by E-ROLE — Jul 8, 2009 @ 6:28 pm
PS3 i’ve got 21 (22 if you count my spare copy of MGS4 - don’t ask), PSN 18. Other than MGS 1, 2 & 3 all my older stuff is back home in the UK (sob) and i couldn’t even begin to guess.
@ E-ROLE - i couldn’t give an exact figure, but i’d guess i beat your Amstrad collection by around 200

Ah well… “Last” then?
Comment by MuggleMind — Aug 14, 2009 @ 11:41 pm
*”first” post, even. You’d think they would have an edit function by now!
*starts a campaign for ThreeSpeech to have an edit button*

Threespeech was better
Comment by marvzilla — Aug 17, 2009 @ 8:38 am
@Marv
Agreed…
It is a tad “samey” at the EU Blog..least here we had a tad of variety
not to mention you could read EVERYONES comments >.<!!!
Comment by JohnSketch — Aug 17, 2009 @ 6:09 pm
@ JohnSketch:
Are you participating in the EUblog much with comments these days?
I’ve not been on it that often, as I’m reading more stuff on EuroGamer these days but it seems very rarely that I notice any ThreeSpeech bloggers on there!
Comment by Zed Zee — Aug 20, 2009 @ 10:45 am
Be honest, Zed Zee - it’s not so easy to spot comments from particualr people there. Maybe it’s because there are a lot more people there, but it seem far less personal than ThreeSpeech was (is?).
On a different note, anyone seen the stories about Sony actually advertising the new PS3 slim quite a bit? Pity they didn’t push the original as much.
Comment by MuggleMind — Aug 20, 2009 @ 2:00 pm
@Zed
Aye I do the occasional post, but as mentioned earlir it is “literally” become a blog about Singstar, weekly upate, singstar, weekly update, singstar, weekly update.
And as Muggle points out - its a far less friendly and more “sterile” environment - especially with the 50 comment limit system before it gets automatically side-stepped to a “second page”.
Change isn’t a bad thing…but sometimes t’s not wanted
Comment by JohnSketch — Aug 23, 2009 @ 12:47 pm

@ JohnSketch:
I agree with your comments - I’m now obviously checking threespeech out much less frequently but I think the fact that this particular blog is still going is a testament to what you were saying and what everyone knew about this site.
I’m not sure if I should go unofficial threespeech for the future, use the EU blog or carry on at Eurogamer.net…
Who’s running the unofficial threespeech, anyway?
Comment by Zed Zee — Sep 29, 2009 @ 12:12 am
Just walking by and noticed someone left the light on in this place, I’m surprised to see there is still recent activity! How much time has to pass before you guys can claim ’squatter rights’ on this ThreeSpeech domain name?! lol
Seriously the new EU Blog isn’t all that bad, it would be nice to see some of you there, it makes me smile when a name of an old ‘ThreeSpeecher’ pops up in the comments section, god help me but I even miss arguing with you ZedZee! lol
Maybe I should start checking the Unofficial ThreeSpeech site more often…
Comment by Apnomis — Sep 30, 2009 @ 11:21 am
BTW, assuming it isn’t renewed, this domain expires on the 1st September 2010 at 14:05 - put it in your calendar and see if you can’t nick it off the current owners before one of those annoying advertising pages does

I’ve all but given up on the playstation blog now
Home, Singstar, Home Singstar, Weekly Update Singstar…..
My patience is gone
Comment by JohnSketch — Oct 6, 2009 @ 11:15 am
Yeah the EU playstation blog has grown so bland and boring, I don’t bother reading 90% of it.
Threespeech had a certain edge to it where the story’s were a bit more “out there” and debate could follow. The PS blog has none of that. Its scripted weekly dribble
I don’t even bother reading the comments the story’s are so pedestrian.
Comment by Ricky — Oct 28, 2009 @ 1:28 am

Would be great to see the old site come back to life. Not that I’m complaining about having to go to the unofficial site, obviously!

if the gods were to smile on me and ‘donate’ this site as some charitable tax break to me i’d be more than happy to release the flying monkeys on it.
enjoying the unofficial threespeech.co.cc though.
yeah, i really can’t be fussed with the Eeeew.blog much either for the reasons given above, it’s too corporate now. the one star is Update Mike on thursdays, nice to see he takes all the abuse the ‘orrible forumites dish out everyweek in his stride.

Ah finally. No posts in a year (well, none since December 2010 anyway). Even the amazing release of KZ3 didn’t bring the site back to life… If only there were life here!
Comment by MuggleMind — Mar 9, 2011 @ 4:08 pm
We seriously need Mobiletone or Fanpages to take this site and get it back up and running.
To have the old guys back together would be awesome.
I think buying the site from Crowd DNA would be an excellent idea.
Comment by E-ROLE — Apr 8, 2011 @ 4:11 pm
E-Role, agree 100%. Threespeech site was always very special, compared to the EU blog… and maybe we’d have real info about the current PSN outtage then too!
Comment by MuggleMind — Apr 22, 2011 @ 8:08 pm
Knowing how much attention this site gets, thought it might be prudent to point out here that… the PSN is back up (well, technically, it’s been up since yesterday evening, but I didn’t want everyone here to get trampled in the rush!)!
Comment by MuggleMind — May 16, 2011 @ 4:33 pm
Ok, so for any of you guys still out there. Let me know if you’d like to start a new blog.
it wont be easy, but it will be fun.
All that want to apply get in touch, espesh those of you on the DNA panel.
Comment by E-ROLE — Jun 16, 2011 @ 10:15 pm
So, E-ROLE, did you get any takers? (didn’t want to leave it a whole year before asking :P)
Comment by MuggleMind — Jun 6, 2012 @ 11:16 am
So, folks, where’s everyone at?
Any particular sites/blogs where everyone’s congregating these days…?
I’ve really been out of it for ages now - just have not had time to comment or blog anywhere - but I have been keeping up-to-date with the industry.
If you still want that alternative, sane, calming perspective, then let me know where it’s at…
Comment by Zed Zee — Jul 1, 2012 @ 8:01 pm
Hi guys, nowadays I’m hovering around Eurogamer, Epic Battle Axe and Kotaku. Nothing has really replaced Threespeech. There are plenty of sites out there that we could congregate on, but we’d all have to decide together.
My thought was just to create our own, with all of us contributing it can’t really fail.
Hope everyone is doing well!
Comment by E-ROLE — Aug 15, 2012 @ 4:12 pm
With the PS4 (rumoured) on it’s way in the not to distant future, maybe we should reserve the domain “fourspeech.com”?
Comment by MuggleMind — Sep 25, 2012 @ 4:05 pm
I agree with E-ROLE (yes, for once!) We either jump on an existing web site and my executive decision on that would be EuroGamer.net or we do our own.
BTW, PS2 is no more:

Happy 2013 to everyone!
Comment by Zed Zee — Dec 31, 2012 @ 5:28 pm
So, as 2013 draws to a close, how many here have succumbed to buying a PS4 (and maybe a Vita)? I have both, and am thoroughly enjoying them - especially the remote play that works so well between them.
Oh, and Happy Christmas to anyone still wandering past!
Comment by MuggleMind — Dec 21, 2013 @ 5:16 am
@ MuggleMind:
If you’ve read any of my posts on ThreeSpeech, you will soon realise that I was never a fan of the PS3 (Sony, really, during that mid 2000’s period), due to the way they treated the European launch.
But With the PS4, I have to say, Sony has won me back 100%.
I’ve not purchased a PS4 yet - for many reasons, mainly my projector is not HD and I need to upgrade that first, in order to take any advantage of a new console - nor have I succumbed to the heavily discounted PS Vita (something that Sony should’ve done a long time ago, to give it a fighting chance against the Nintendo handhelds) - I’m waiting for the right deal on the former, while the latter is not a priority, as I still enjoy a number of games on my PSP.
Happy 2014 to you and all still reading here…
Comment by Zed Zee — Jan 5, 2014 @ 2:43 am
fourspeech, anyone?
Comment by Chris — Jul 28, 2014 @ 2:36 pm
@ Chris: I’d be up for that, but I’ve not heard from the old gang for a VERY long time. As you can see, I’ve posted the last few entries. I think I’ve seen E-Role on Eurogamer.net but even I don’t post that much there either…
But I’d be up for a fourspeech somewhere - I think everyone would…
We need the old gang back, before this site goes down!
Comment by Zed Zee — Aug 10, 2014 @ 9:02 pm
If you guys want to keep in contact, I’m still E-ROLE on Ps4
The old gang are doing well!
Comment by E-ROLE — Sep 20, 2014 @ 9:59 pm
Just checking in… PS4 sitting under the tree. I miss the days of threespeech!
Comment by Ricky — Dec 3, 2014 @ 6:44 pm
E-ROLE, I assume from your comments that you succumbed, and treated yourself to a PS4? And fourspeech sounds like a perfect “indie” site - remember, indie stuff is in vogue with Sony currently too!
Comment by MuggleMind — Dec 9, 2014 @ 4:06 am
@ All - shall we create a Facebook page perhaps first and call it fourspeech and we can go from there?
I’m not personally on FB but I can ‘contribute’ via a pseudo name, so that might be a place to start?
Just a thought…
Comment by Zed Zee — Apr 29, 2016 @ 12:00 am
