MEH,
HOW ABOUT A PATCH TO ADD CAR DAMAGE TO GRAN TURISMO 5 PROLOGUE. OR A PATCH TO MAKE KILLZONE 2 LIKE RSIDENT EVAL 5 WHERE YOU CAN BEAT THE GAME WITH 2 PLAYERS ONLINE OR BETTER?
Comment by RICK — Apr 2, 2009 @ 6:27 pm
This is the worst update I have seen for a long time.
Luckily there are plenty of awesome games out to play at the moment, so I do not really need an awesome store update as I have plenty of other things to be doing on my PS3.

I’m downloading the “Behind the bullet” application, as I type. Can’t wait to see the advert broken down into its various components. I love that geeky stuff!! I hope this sort of thing is regular and that we can something similar for Uncharted 2 and Heavy Rain as well.

Working Titan pack at least…
(hope i’ve not just jinxed myself - not actually tried it yet)
Comment by El Stefio — Apr 3, 2009 @ 1:36 am
heh… I grabbed the titan pack from the US store last week (I imported UT3 to begin with so I had no incompatibility issues) so there’s nothing to really grab my attention this week in the store…
probably for the best as I can’t afford anything right this second anyway!

Hoorah a working Titan pack for UT3, grabbed the ‘Killzone 4d’ advert thing off the US Store, nowt else of interest really. Back to holy hand grenading those pesky online Worms ninjas!

Why do I bother checking the PSN? Lately I’m beginning to wonder why I bothered parting with the best part of £400 for the console to sit there gathering dust!
Any music game I already have on X360 so the Rock Band / GH tracks are of no use to me. I don’t like footy games, so that DLC is of no interest to me. I also have no interest in Naruto, C&C et al on consoles are a no go, I’ll keep my RTSs to my PC as I don’t end up fighting with the controls.
So all in all, a load of useless content! No Co-Op for Killzone 2 and a lobby system that is unable to let me join my mates seamlessly for a game!
No trophies for Afro Samurai which I now regret buying (especially seeing as the X360 has Achievements!) Yet another game that looks pretty but has little to no substance!
Every other multiplatform game worth buying I already have on the X360, so my 500Gb PS3 is just sitting there unused. If I have backwards compatability I could at least play some decent PS2 games, but alas, Sony see fit to sit on that one too. Well thanks SCEE, you’ve had my cash and delivered next to nothing. Cheers! I’m getting more use out of my Wii than my PS3!

Also while I think about it, why is there a distinct lack of demos for the majority of the PSN downloadable games?
XBox Live have a demo version of EVERY arcade game available, so you’re free to try before you buy! Why do Sony insist on not having these? If they did have them available, I might at least buy some games that might actually give me some enjoyment out of the behemoth of a machine!

Im getting an Xbox.

I checked the PSN yesterday, and found it had not been updated yet. I then spent the day on Killzone 2, and continued to play through the evening until bedtime, completely forgetting about the PSN update. Having now looked at the PSN update, all I can say is: thank you Guerilla Games for Killzone 2.

regarding killzone co-op… are they actually doing it? I’m sure I read somewhere that there were no plans to do so, I hope I’m wrong though
