We have some brand new screens of the new Killzone 2 multiplayer maps that are due for release. The above screenshot shows the Vekta Cruiser playing host to a heated battle in skies, whilst below we can see the Wasteland Bullet train, where perilous side-to-side action will either leave you victorious… or decapitated.
Click through to feast your eyes on even more beautiful shots…
The first three images are taken from within the Vekta Cruiser, whilst the other 5 are from Wasteland Bullet.

Looking forward to these, release date confirmed as the 30th April, but still no price confirmation (under a fiver please!).
The gameplay videos on Gametrailers.com look really good, I especially like the environmental elements on the Bullet Trian - like that poor sniper getting his head ripped off by a low hanging girder! I wonder if they are classed as a suidcide?

The maps after this are “Retro” so I think that means Killzone 1 maps. Should be a laugh!

Hopefully we’ll be able to pwn these maps like we did Corinth last night.
I’d like to dedicate the latest TSR win to Crowd DNA.
That one was for you funky doods!

@ 3 & TSR
Thanks team. You did us proud…

I’m really looking forward to these, the train looks like a train load of fun though I think the Vektra cruiser will be the better map for games with its verticality (is that a word?) adding a different edge to the game.

Do the Helghan soliders look like they’ve been over-indulging with chocolate eggs this Easter, or have the perspective ratio[n]s on these photos been altered?
Either way, a heavy weight amount of content that will bring the PlayStation Network to a grinding halt just like when the “Killzone 2″ Playable Demo was made available.
I think it probably wise not to organise any [TSR] clan matches on that day in any respect.
Thanks for the photos, Three Speech.
BFN,
fp.

I think the Vektra cruiser will be pretty much like Corinth Crossing but in a ship scenario, due to its multi-level similarities. So I’m not convinced yet that it brings anything new to the KZ2 world.
The train however, with its environmental dangers will force players to be a lot more tactical and less running around like headless chooks ( like I tend to do ). I’m guessing there will be lots of people crouched on bended knee most of the time, and they will make sure they look both ways before crossing the road, I mean gap… no no no that’s not right either. Basically they will mind the gap.

I like the look of Vekta Cruiser - it seems brighter than the other maps.

gawd, i haven’t played KZ2 in aaages, played through campaign twice now and dabbled in online, mashed several bot matches too then tossed it on the pile. shame really. sorry for leaving the TSR clan guys but if i’m not putting the time/effort in i saw little point in being part of it.
really thought it could have been more than just another FPS.

Mr. Tone I’m shocked to see you leave. Your stats show you were quite handy on the KZ battle field, maybe it was not challenging enough. I know that the the clan matches are a lot more interesting than the usual multi=player fare, but that must be mainly due to the vested interest everyone has in winning.
So what game or games have you moved onto? Any gems?
