Dylan Cuthbert from Q-Games recently updated the world on what it can expect from the new Eden Encore update.
The update will include an additional five completely new stages with five new and unique backgrounds for each one. Each new area is said to be full of brand new ideas and gimmicks. There’s even going to be five new tracks exclusively created by Baiyon, who was behind the original ambient sounds of Eden’s gardens.
On top of all this new content, your Grimp will be granted a “three-seed smart-bomb power”, which will basically detonate all of the on-screen “Prowlers” into a nice cloud of pollen after jumping through three seeds in a row. The nice thing about this feature is that it’s going to be retro-patched into the whole game - so you can go back and enjoy the older levels with this new ability. It also appears that this particular feature will be free, as Dylan Cuthbert states “everyone who boots up their original Eden in a few weeks will be patched and get this feature.”
Cuthbert also hints that there will be a special present for their fans who have managed to collect all 25 of the added Spectra, “one that will enable you to play the entire game again in a completely different way.”
To find out more about the upcoming gardens, check out Cuthbert’s initial post here.

I’m still trying to complete the game in it’s original form. I have half of the spectra so far. The changes sound good. Especially the smart bomb thingy. Also, if I were to hazard a guess for what the “special present” is… I reckon that all the levels in the game will become inverted somehow, e.g. upside down.
