Hold onto your hats, friends. We’ve got a trailer for Ratchet and Clank: A Crack In Time. We’re not giving it to you yet though, oh no…
You’ll have to wait until tomorrow morning, when Three Speech will publish it. Tune in at 9am, when we’ll be sitting in our pyjamas, with our finger poised over the ‘update story’ button. When the video goes live we can sit back and watch it with a bowl of cereal and a cup of tea. It’ll be like we’re all having breakfast together.
See you there!

We want snaps of you in your pjs! I bet you’ve got a Thomas the tank engine set.
The Video is truly exciting, can’t wait to see it. They usually always have a bit of humor in them.

The humour in R&C 1 is what got me hooked on the series.

Nice scoop ThreeSpeech, I would imagine you’ll get record hits for a Saturday morning with that!
Luckily for me (well sort of) I’m having to come in work on Saturday with it being Year End and all that, but at least it means I’ll get to see this as soon as it goes live (nothing would normally get me up at 9am on a Saturday lol).
I hope it’s a good trailer that reveals a bit of info and maybe a glance of gameplay. Unlike the Modern Warfare 2 trailer that gave away basically nothing other than the name and the date!

Cool! I love R&C.

I’m looking forward to this. Definitely R&C Tools was the one that got me interested in the series because of the style of gameplay which was more my type of gaming.
Can’t wait to see what they have to show off.

P.S. Waits to see if this is the same trailer as the one pointed out to me that is on Gametrailers??
Comment by Capeview — Mar 28, 2009 @ 8:58 am
Sorry ThreeSpeech, but looks like you are slow as usual. Gametrailers had this trailer already.
At least get something exclusive next time.

Cool trailer, but who the hell is that guy? Granted I have limited R&C back story knowledge, but Ratchet was the last of the Lombax’s and he looks like a Lombax - so my guess is that R&C go back in time to before they were wiped out - this of course means that there is now the opportunity for another Lombax which means online co-op! Alternatively that Lombax could be the bad guy trying to change time and that would mean a Lombax vs Lombax showdown. Or I could be completely wrong, and that guy could be out of one of the PS2 games that I never played! Either way it’s all very Doctor Who!

Cool! Nice trailer thanks guys. Going for breakfast now.

When will they those Easterners learn to call it Autumn.
PS. Nice Trailers - I’m guessing all using the In-game engine, not up to v3.x one presumes.

A double-Lombax-headed pocket watch-like gadget that hints at time travel & probably contains the consciousness of a certain “John Smith” a.k.a the sole remaining Time Lord who searches the galaxy for any other survivor of his race. Yes, very Doctor Who-esque.

Ratchet and Clank are back and on a mission to save the future!! Concluding the events that began in Ratchet & Clank: Tools of Destruction and Quest for Booty, R&C: A Crack in Time will answer some of the franchise fans’ biggest questions. After discovering that lovable robot Clank’s disappearance was engineered by Dr. Nefarious, the Wrench-swinging Ratchet races to save his best friend. Along the way, both will finally uncover the hidden truth behind their origins, and discover their ultimate destinies. As the duo come closer to reuniting, they’ll have to ask themselves the biggest question of all: Do Ratchet and Clank’s destinies lie with each other? Or is it finally time for the universe’s greatest duo to separate for good?
Powered by Insomniac Games’ fourth-generation PS3 technology, Ratchet & Clank: A Crack in Time will continue to bring the experience of playing your own computer generated animation movie to PS3. Expect all the laughs and witty banter of a Ratchet and Clank title, as you enjoy all-new space gameplay that gives players the opportunity to engage in space battles, explore the surrounding star system, and discover hidden items and collectables… You’ll come head-to-head with a brand-new cast of baddies, and some old favorites, and obliterate them with cool new weapons and abilities.

Yesssss yessss yessss! Tools was the first PS3 game I played, and just loved it. Easily the best non-online console game I’ve played. The humor is so welcome, when so many games for hardcore gamers are more concerned about gritty “realism”. I’ll take a sleeping pill in the form of a hammer to Clank’s head any time over that.
I want a Ratchet plush toy. And I’m 34.

Hmm, more of a teaser than a trailer… Waiting for more….
