The new info includes a new video featuring crucial gameplay elements.
As you’ve no doubt gathered, Sony have provided us with a wealth of fresh information on the upcoming InFamous title, which has only made the anticipation within the Three Speech hideaway all the more harder to bare.
Kicking things off is a look at the ‘Karma System’…
Cole will consciously shift into either a Good or Evil Karmic State depending on his actions. This change is more than just cosmetic, and is something that impacts every aspect of the game including the story, Cole’s appearance, the city and the way in which pedestrians react to his presence. Another important change brought about by the level of Karma is the power that Cole will have at his disposal.
Cole’s ‘Karmic State’ can be altered through pivotal events (’Karma Moments’) that are encountered during missions, as well as his direct interaction with the innocent people still trapped in the unruly Empire City.
Experience (XP) is earned through completing various activities and can be spent on upgrades to his electrical power - XP will only unlock abilities that match his current Karmic State. Good Karma manifests merciful electron-based powers, while Evil Karma will adversely alter Cole’s appearance and imbue him with uncompromisingly deadly positron-based electricity. In short, your actions determine your abilities. This will surely have a knock-on effect of changing the way Cole is played, and the style of power circulating through his body could undoubtedly influence other acts of Karma.
The rigid structure of Karma States will hopefully lead to a closer focus on personal choices and the actual gameplay elements associated with them.
Good Karmic States: Guardian; Champion; and Hero
Evil Karmic States: Thug; Outlaw; and Infamous

This game is looking great, but the only thing bugging me is the lack of super villains.
Sure the game is not strictly comic book hero but from the footage shown I would like to see Cole take on a Water guy, or some dude with fire.
Sounds kinda simplistic but I’m sure Sucker Punch can make a twist to it.

This looks great, I think I’ll have to pre-order. I’m loving the art direction!

I’m not sure players will take him seriously with that gravelly baritone voice. Maybe they should have gone for more of a Chipmunk angle.

I’m very interested in this game, and I like how this system could play out. I hope it has some gray areas in the mix based on previous decisions. The final example given could be for the greater good honestly. Put up the poster of the mean evil Cole to let his enemies know he’s not to be toyed with, and it helps him protect people.
I agree with CartBlanche to a degree on the voice thing. It is kind of hard to take the guy seriously based on the back story we’ve been provided about Cole with a Dirty Harry voice like that. “You feel’n lucky punk?”
