With a properly dialed in FFB wheel (preferably the G25), GRID is the most fun racer as of yet on the PS3 (the 360 version doesn't support wheel). The speed is arcade but I find the handling is on par with GT4. I love FC as well but the car lacks precision and tightness that one would expect from a Ferrari. It still has a decent physics but I find GT5P interpretation of the F430 to be closer to what a supercar should behave. Hopefully in SCC, the physics and the handling will undergo minor modification. NFS:Shift is sounding to me to be the most complete racer.

the difference being GRiD was fun,
and Ferrari (dodgy driving physics) Challenge was a Nightmare.

GT5 has the handling spot on for console driving.

Hmmm...

The 'Ring is the short, forgetable GP track. Plus, this game is nothing more than Ferrari Challenge 2.0 - most of the cars are the same, most of the tracks are the same, the only real difference - apart from a handful of notable new cars - appears to be improvements to the AI and difficulty settings which they should have got right in the first place or patched in soon after release.

Only buy if you haven't already paid for Ferrari Challenge.

Just went to preorder this (No GT5 until 2016? McLaren F1? Nürburgring? Spa? Woohoooo!!) yet none of the major retailers seems to know this title exists....

I agree, the only similarity between this and GRID seems to be that you get to drive a car. And unlike GRID et al, I'm sure this will not have dodgy driving physics - in particular the diabolical, so-80s central-pivot steering - so beloved of CodeMasters.

If this game plays like Ferrari challenge, it's going to be unbearable. Wish it was more arcadey than sim like.

@ Neil - if it's anything like Ferrari Challenge i'll be needing another new joypad :) i did say it was less arcadey than GRiD but SCC has included arcade modes with this version too so it CAN play like GriD if you want it to, or it can be a super hardcore fall off the track at every turn game too if you so desire.

mobiletone - this is about as far from GRID as you can possibly get. It's a proper realistic racer and the action is MUCH more exciting than GRID.

am tempted by this but it's looking a little too much like GRiD, though less arcadey i must admit, (along with NFS: SHiFT) and it's too close to FUEL's release date too. my money is going to the Codesters again. any more news on DiRT2?
