I really don’t know….but somehow having a change in colour scheme just does not seem like a viable marketing option if sony plan on increasing unit sales within the U.K..
I swear if it was not for Japan the handheld would’ve crashed and burned - and I’m someone who loves the PSP!

I have yet to dip into the PSP hyteria, or lack there of depending on who you ask ( ahem JS ). I’ve heard that the PSP2 may be announced shortly, possibly at GDC or failing that later on at E3. Now PSP2 should rival iPhone.

To be honest I’ve always preferred the black. However, I’m not really a portable gamer and so have resisted the urge to buy a PSP. News of the GPS utility sparked my interest last year, but ultimately wasn’t enough to make me splash out.
At this point I wouldn’t care what colour it came in, I would still wait for a proper PSP2 in all it’s touch screen motion sensitive built in GPS and camera iPhone-esque glory (you know it’s going to happen sooner or later!).

What the PSP needs right now is more games. Not more colours.
Over & Out.

…and let’s hope there is a suitable Sackboy-themed & coloured PSP console bundle for the “LittleBIGPlanet” release on this platform later this year.
Much like those released for “The Simpsons Game”, “God of War: Chains of Olympus”, “Spider-man 2″, “Star Wars Battlefront: Renegade Squadron”, & “Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII” (10th Anniversary):

more games, not colours! if it wasn’t for my megadrive collection umd i would have sold my psp ages ago. great for use as a device to take films/music over to friends to rig to their tv/amp (via adapter cable) though. i’m not one for sitting around as part of the ‘eternal soundtrack’ zombies, i like to hear what’s going on in the world.
i has a clear mod’ cased psp slim ‘n’ light with 2Gb

My PSP usage consist of;
Hear of a new fw update. Charge the battery. Install the update. Put PSP away until the next fw update. Punctuated with looking for a new game that’s different and cost less than a tenner. Only got one for the remote play function with the PS3 and that didn’t work for me. lol.

I got my psp the first day it originally came out and since then have enjoyed every game I have brought for it, 2 in total!!! Appaling line up has never got me excited about a release. The only thing i use mine for is watching videos on plane journeys and like bluegene to see what the next update has to offer(usually not alot)

I still have my original psp covered in dust somewhere, I bought it on the strength that it would be used for a rearview or wing mirror in racing games(or was that just F1 CE only?), and since it didn’t come to be I only used it to play killzone liberation…and thats it, but Im still intrigued by the satnav option and voice chat in the newer versions of PSP…well if money comes my way I may splash out on a new one
