Voted Mgs, but would like all of them & Castlevania SotN since it’s been out on the US store for ages (want Castlevania Chronicles too)
Also would like to see, Silent Hill, Vagrant Story, Viv Ribbon… Probably a lot more if I can remember them…
Comment by Mr.Monkey — Jan 6, 2009 @ 10:27 am
Vib Ribbon.
With HDD and Memory Stick audio file support.
End of discussion.
Comment by lbplanetoid — Jan 6, 2009 @ 10:28 am
Drats was just about to correct my spelling mistake… *vib, not viv
Comment by Mr.Monkey — Jan 6, 2009 @ 10:31 am
Parappa the Rapper, cause that little mutt had spunk!
Next woulda been Ape Escape, MGS, Tekken and FFVII!
Think they really should try and fix whatever was wrong with Crash 2 and add that to the store sometime…
Comment by Tarkarama — Jan 6, 2009 @ 10:36 am
MGS and FF7 would be my top picks but I’d rather have them all.
Comment by Ayrkain — Jan 6, 2009 @ 10:39 am
FF7 for starters, would really whet the appetite for FF13 and Vs.
How about a bit of SNK love? Metal Slug, Samurai Showdown, King of Fighters…..
Comment by mrsatansdojo — Jan 6, 2009 @ 10:48 am
Notice you put Ghost in the Shell on there - had that on the PSOne and quite enjoyed it too.
Comment by mrsatansdojo — Jan 6, 2009 @ 10:49 am
I would really love Return Fire to be put on the classics, you can hardly find it anywhere now for purchase, so either on classics or download on the store would be great!
Comment by Flegg — Jan 6, 2009 @ 11:03 am
Out of them? Final Fantasy VII.
I’m, however, waiting for Suikoden 1+2 to be put up. They’re brilliant games from the PSone. They’re so had to get hold of now it would be great if they were put up for download.
I seem to remember reading they had been re-rated in America or something last year which gave me hope.
Comment by Typhyn — Jan 6, 2009 @ 11:03 am
How about all of them? Alas it seems like SCEE doesn’t want my money…
Also, SECONDED to Vib Ribbon, what an amazing game. It would be awesome if they allowed us to play the game with music off our PS3s HDD and package the game with a few trophies….Ah dreams
Or just give us the game on the PSN store please Sony…
Comment by SinsToJudge — Jan 6, 2009 @ 11:03 am
Any Final Fantasy or Metal Gear Solid, I would buy them in an instant.
Comment by Mixu — Jan 6, 2009 @ 11:07 am
Hey threespeech didnt you run this poll LAST YEAR? Oh yes you did see here http://threespeech.com/blog/2008/06/poll-your-favourite-ps1-games/, also see how NONE OF THE GAMES IN THE POLL HAVE BEEN RELEASED ON THE PAL STORE
Comment by Carl — Jan 6, 2009 @ 11:18 am
Vib Ribbon, and we know its been ESRB rated. Just release the bugger!
Comment by katamari-ball — Jan 6, 2009 @ 11:19 am
OH MY GOD!!! MGS and Ghost in the Shell in the same poll!!! How the hell am I going to choose!
Comment by E-ROLE — Jan 6, 2009 @ 11:20 am
Chrono Cross would be nice, since you can’t get that in the UK, having it available on the PS3 as a classic download would be awesome.
I wouldn’t mind seeing the Alundra games up on there either.
Comment by darkliquid — Jan 6, 2009 @ 11:54 am
@thyphyn
Suikoden 1 has not only been re-rated it’s out already.
On the US store of course…
Comment by Mr.Monkey — Jan 6, 2009 @ 11:55 am
Metal Gear.. but I can dream can’t I? I don’t really want FF games and don’t see them coming out because then why would anyone buy one of Squares many remakes on the PSP/DS.
I would love Suikoden games, Wild Arms, Alundra.
I would also love Crash 2 as that was my first Ps1 game way back when. So many classics! Abe’s Odessey! Colony Wars! Um Jammer Lammy!
Comment by Liquidcalm — Jan 6, 2009 @ 12:15 pm
BMG’s ‘Spider: The Video Game’ I would pay for and download in a heartbeat! It was ahead of it’s time in terms of animation and innovation. The imagery was pretty good for it’s day too.
Also, who wouldn’t want to play a cyborg Spider with gun, rocket and flamethrower attachments for it’s legs!?!

Comment by VoodooCharlie — Jan 6, 2009 @ 12:50 pm
I had to vote for FFVII… as i’ve recently moved to NZ and had to leave my original behind (for now)… *sob*
The same also applies to MGS however - even more so as i’ve just finished replaying MGS4.
And i’ve been waiting for Wipeout 2097 since about August 2007. Pretty much given up on that one now though….

Besides those titles, I’d love to see some japanese games that never made their way to the west, such as Tokimeki Memorial and the Parodius Series.

Just popped into my head…
The Oddworld games, Strider, the psx Megaman games

Metal Gear & Resident Evil, would buy them without hesitation but alas SCEE don’t lik making money.
Comment by Terry — Jan 6, 2009 @ 1:38 pm
Given SCEE’s renown laziness, the question arises: If SCEE were to put MGS up on the PSN, would they bother to recode it so the game doesn’t crash at the end, denying the gamer game completion?

I barely have enough time to play my new collection of lovely PS3 games so to be honest I don’t think I’ll have time to replay any of these classics!
.
.
.
.
Actually, if some of these were available I would like to give them a go as I never played MGS on the PS1 and I only played GTA for a few hours one Xmas many years ago. I suppose I could be tempted to stick them on my PSP and play them on the train to work in the morning.
Comment by Dave Vincent — Jan 6, 2009 @ 3:05 pm
@Mr.Monkey
Really!? Wow, missed that one, when did that happen? Lol, I hope that means a release over here very, very soon or I won’t be happy. If they don’t I’ll consider it a personal insult.
Comment by Typhyn — Jan 6, 2009 @ 5:03 pm
Sorry for the double post. When I posted the first one it didn’t appear (did they add me to the moderation queue reserved for fanpages’ posts?) so I posted a cut-down version. Anyway, So now you can overdose on a double-helping of Parappa goodness.

I would like to see Parasite Eve and Parasite Eve II. I still think Parasite Eve has the best cinema scenes of any game…
Comment by WaltonamoBay — Jan 6, 2009 @ 6:05 pm
@Waltonamobay
Sadly PE was never released in little ol’ Scotland…
Parasite Eve II though is among my top ten games of all time!
Comment by JohnSketch — Jan 6, 2009 @ 7:45 pm
Wow, as if Final Fantasy VII is hard to come by these days. Thank you, delusional fanboys. :p I’d much rather see Suikoden 1 and 2 be added instead of Square’s overrated RPG. Anyway, I voted for Parappa, never got that game in my collection. Still, there are a lot of better choices than the ones in that list.
Heck, it only has the ‘must-have’ titles, and most people already have those.
Comment by VashNL — Jan 6, 2009 @ 8:05 pm
one game to rule them all. DOOM!
or
Parasite Eve II, Front Mission 3, Ace Combat 3, Tenchu 2
and
maybe
Rat Attack

Comment by darkos87 — Jan 6, 2009 @ 9:40 pm
I know this is a PS1 related thread, but I’d love to see a SSX version made compatible with the PS3. This is one game sorely missed from the line up.
Comment by Darren — Jan 7, 2009 @ 12:04 am
Is there an actual point to this poll, as in the games will make it to the PSN, or is it just a meaningless exercise creating false hope?
Comment by Matt — Jan 7, 2009 @ 4:59 am
Chrono Cross would be nice as I’m having a tonne of trouble getting it to run in emulation on the PSP.
Comment by Moses — Jan 7, 2009 @ 5:37 am
It’s comical how many more PS1 games are available in the JP store than in the EU or US stores. New ones are added every week, including classics from Square such as Xenogears (although no Final Fantasy yet), Capcom (Biohazard), and Konami (MGS).
It’s odd that the non Japanese divisions of these developers don’t want to exploit the potential of overseas markets. That said, there’s no excuse for Sony not putting their own first party stuff up on the store internationally.
Comment by Ataru — Jan 7, 2009 @ 8:38 am
there are a couple of Crash Bandicoot titles available so how about some PS1 Spyro The Dragon games?
also Final Fantasy Tactics, Vagrant Story, Chrono Cross, Xenogears, Klonoa & Castlevania: SotN
Comment by freelunch — Jan 7, 2009 @ 8:40 am
Well said Ataru,
If its a localisation process? how about using Sony development teams that are between projects?
and If Sony need revenue, surely they can see that I will pay about £5.99 to throw away all my old PS1 discs ( including Vib RIbbon
Comment by hamildan — Jan 7, 2009 @ 8:47 am
I want all of them but all we ever get is CRAP and thats if we dont get anything at all!!!!!!!!!!!!
UNBELIEVABLE!!!!
Who is running this company?????
Comment by UPSET CUSTOMER — Jan 7, 2009 @ 10:22 am
I still have and play Front Mission 3!! Brilliant game! I’d like to see the Front Missions that were released after though as they never made it to sunny Blighty! I never got to play Ghost In The Shell either
I’d just like to see the whole back catalogue releasing… PLEASE!!
Comment by Monkey Rimmer — Jan 7, 2009 @ 12:46 pm
Only two mentions of Vagrant Story!? Three now; I want Vagrant Story more than any other PS1 game to be (legally) playable on my PSP and PS3.
I clicked MGS out of the polling choices, but the above statement still stands. I also agree with those a bit miffed by US and JP stores having so much more than the EU store … even if their tone is out of line; you don’t have to be rude to make a complaint.
Comment by Michael — Jan 7, 2009 @ 12:48 pm
I would go for Vagrant Story as well but I’ve still got it from the PS1 days. It’s a gem of a game. We need to see the good old RPGs from the PS1 days. Suikodens, Grandia, Alundra, Vandal Hearts, Jade Cocoon and release some of the US only ones like Parasite Eve, Final Fantasy Tactics, Chrono Cross, Threads of Fate etc.
Oh and Front Mission 3, I lost hours on that when I was unemployed through choice!
Comment by katamari-ball — Jan 7, 2009 @ 2:01 pm
I would like to see:
Micromachines V3
Hogs of War
Anna Kornikovas Smash Court Tennis
Comment by Linzoid — Jan 7, 2009 @ 3:14 pm
I still have my original PS1 discs, so I’ve been enjoying Suikoden 1 a fair bit recently on the PS3 (will replay Vagrant Story soon after that).
From the list you provide, I’d have to go Parappa the Rapper as I loved the demo but never bought the full game.
Final Fantasy VII would probably make a good bit of money.
As it’s already on the Japanese PSN, I’d like to see Einhander available for the UK/Aus/NZ store.
Bushido Blade 1 would be a fun addition too.
Never played Vib Ribbon but that’d be cool to have.
Also - Why isn’t Bishi Bashi Special available in the Australian PSN Store?? I thought Aus had an exact copy of the UK store’s games and demos (and it has been available in UK for a few months now hasn’t it?)
Comment by Rick — Jan 8, 2009 @ 1:06 am
FF7! My copy is badly damaged and I’ve been stuck at the end of disc 3 for years.
Comment by MaceWisdom — Jan 8, 2009 @ 4:59 am
I’d say all of them plus the other 1600+ PS1 Games ever made…and including the double and triple and quadruple disc games, all the weird n wonderful Japanese games, the odd few Russian ones, The censored and the uncensored versions with clear indications which is which, and find a way to make them all region free, oh and include all the Really crap ones too….C’mon Sony - Just do it!
Comment by linton — Jan 8, 2009 @ 10:02 am
Erghiez would be nice. Its really hard to find and the copy I did find wouldnt play.
Bring over the Castlevania: Rondo of Blood too!
