I was suprised Mirrors Edge did not sell more, granted its a hard and sometimes annoying game but for its concept and sheer design it deserves to be well up there. I enjoyed every minute of it bar the few times you're left thinking "where the hell do I go now". I've already seen it sitting in bargain bins which doesn't feel right to me.

It is hard to predict how the games industry will be affected. What with the economic downturn people are getting stung for driving cars and heating their homes, two examples of things that most kids who own games machines won't know much about.

Off topic somewhat, I've also noticed as well that a lot of shops are not passing on the 15% VAT cut, prices are still exactly the same.

Isn't it about time you took this resistance 2 stuff off and started promoting Killzone 2? For a semi-official blog it's strange you have nothing on Killzone 2....

Did you know there was 5 new videos from CES 2009?

NNNNooooooooooooooooooooooo

mr sketch has caused teh games industry to implode..
just like the great console crash of the 80's.

i was trying to explain the crash to some kids a few days
back and they refused to believe me. -heh- well, i may have
embellished the truth just a little bit :)

At the end of 1983, the industry experienced losses more severe than the 1977 crash. This was the "crash" of the video game industry, as well as the bankruptcy of several companies that produced North American home computers and video game consoles from late 1983 to early 1984. It brought an end to what is considered to be the second generation of console video gaming

least we forget! *puts on black armband* looking at the news
lately about developers and major companies things could
be in a better position right now. can business really
afford to risk a cool 10+ million developing new titles??

just look at the poor sales from some big name titles recently.
Mirrors Edge still hasn't scraped 250,000 sales
