So…….any chance of SSF2HD Remix being released in the region that your actually beating Microsofts XBOX in?
Thought not.
Good job my entropay works on my US account! HADOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOKAN!
Oh this week updates a joke, £10 for GTI club and Wipeout HD was only £2 more!
Comment by SlapnutzUK — Dec 4, 2008 @ 6:49 pm
I guess Sony is continuing to charge the prices at the 17.5% VAT rate and is pocketing the difference between those and the 15% prices then?
Comment by Neil — Dec 4, 2008 @ 7:16 pm
Maestro cards still not working even after firmware update.
people in Sony’s customer support need a slap for fibbing!!
not buying anything again…. cheers Sony.
ps: what’s in the GRiD 8-Ball pack?
Comment by mobiletone — Dec 4, 2008 @ 7:23 pm
Where is SSF2HD Remix? Microsoft was able to bring it out in Europe. There is no reason why you can’t. And if there is then somebody needs to explain why and say sorry for the delay.

Yeah, I am actually getting quite annoyed by the way that the PSN seems to always be behind XBLA with game releases. Street Fighter HD Remix was out last week on the XBLA and yet we, on the PSN, still do not have it one week later. The same thing happened with Puzzle Fighter earlier in the year, where XBLA had the game about two months before the PSN. Why is it that Sony takes so much longer than Microsoft to approve a game in Europe?
Comment by Mace — Dec 4, 2008 @ 8:40 pm
SCEE and their approval policies are making me sick..
According to Capcom SCEE still has Street Fighter HD remix on a “To be determined” release status.
What?
That’s inexusable, but I guess SCEE doesn’t care they only give us PS1 titles as DLC that no is really waiting on, I mean if I wanna play C&C I’ll just fire up my pc.

oh FFS even Entropay cards can’t be registered now… and it seems all of Sony’s customer support team have the night off..
nuts to it.
can’t even give Sony my money nowdays it seems, and there are two more things i would have bought today.
since this whole card invalid business started i guess Sony have lost at least a cool 100 of my credits.
oh the irony, they put more things on the Store to buy and remove more ways to actually pay for stuff. typical SCEE i guess, everything they touch turns to fail!

PPS. Rumours surfacing today that the latest firmware release was to include PS2 backward compatibility to allow the sale of PS2 titles via the ‘Store (as predicted by everyone last year) but the decision to do so was withdrawn with the intention of inclusion in a future system software upgrade.
We can only hope the payment issue is going to be resolved first, ‘tone.
Something to (seasonally) cheer you up below. See if you can improve my first verse to the “Twelve Months of PlayStation”…
On the first day of Christmas my three love gave to me…
One global store.
Two hard it seems.
Three Speech is quiet.
Four what it’s worth.
Fifth Amendment quoted.
SixAxis in hand.
Seven days to wait.
Eight all my words.
Nein, not again!
Tentative date.
Eleventh month already?
Twelve more months to wait.
There’s… no… place… like… Home.
etc.

Im waiting for Street Fighter… Played the demo on 360, still waiting for it on PAL PSN, as the d-pad is better…
BUT will prob buy for 360 if the pricing is like Age of Booty last week £.6.80 on 360, £7.99 + a months delay on PAL PSN…
I am digging the free LBP stuff, even tho I can’t be bothered to play it now, the moments gone…

Oh great No trophy / rumble patch for Blast Factor for Europe
THANKS SCEE YOU FAIL AGAIN
Comment by herewegoagain — Dec 5, 2008 @ 7:17 am
@ Liquidcalm - maybe if i hadn’t been issued with a new card this year.. that’s when i noticed the trouble, my old Maestro worked fine, but now expired, so i went to update with the new card number/dates and got a big FO from the Store.
that Xbox Elite is looking like a tempting xmasy pressie more and more..
the kicker is, customer support said it would be fixed in the lastest firmware update!
Comment by mobiletone — Dec 5, 2008 @ 8:00 am
@Tone,
My Maestro card didn’t work once, it said there was server maintenance, but I’ve bought several things with it since the last update and it’s been fine.
I don’t have a start date on mine though, just an issue number.
Comment by Robothamster — Dec 5, 2008 @ 9:04 am
Sorry to join in the moaning, but where is the Blast Factor trophy update and the High Velocity Bowling online/trophy update? Why are SCEE always so behind!!!!!!
Also, I know it’s only a few pence but is there any particular reason SCEE have decided to implement a 2.5% price increase across the store, even though some of the prices were pushing it already? I refer of course to the fact VAT is now 15%, something SCEE have failed to notice…
This on top of the fact PSOne classics and other £3.49 games have also had a 15% price increase to £3.99.
One last thing for those with the HOME Beta, the Shopping Centre stores have also been updated - there are a lot of new clothes, new furniture and even a new house to buy - all of it is free too!
Comment by Apnomis — Dec 5, 2008 @ 9:34 am
@21 [Apnomis]:
All free… and all to be carried over into the full release of “Home” as a ‘thank you’ to the Beta testers
PS. You raise an interesting point about VAT.
Where is Sony’s PlayStation Store (server, and/or financial processing division) located?
The (Standard) VAT Rate across all European countries is not the same.
Prices should differ between countries in the EU.
The fact that digital downloads attract VAT at all is another argument altogether.
(All together: It’s another argument)
BFN,
fp.

Well here we go again…
And all I hoped for was SF2HDR OR Söldner-X for the EU-Store, it’s so sad that neither has made it in time.
Comment by codshin — Dec 5, 2008 @ 9:52 am
Geez you lot are a whiney buch of b*stards!
Have you seriously got so little in your life that it matters that you can’t play this or that?
I’m quite looking forward to playing SF2HDR too, have patience, it’ll come eventually.
Believe it or not there are many more things for you to do than play (and bitch about not playing) games. Go for a walk, get down the pub, whack one out, whatever, just shut stop crying about digital media ffs!

Got Soldner-X off the US store and though I was a little underwhelmed on my first go, once I got the hang of the chaining combo system I found it a quite entertaining break from R2 and infinately more fun than Novastrike, more scrolly shoot-em-ups please!!
Comment by marvzilla — Dec 5, 2008 @ 12:26 pm
LEGO BATMAN: THE VIDEOGAME DEMO ??? I can’t find anything od Czech EU store. It’s the same like Beijing 2008 demo and PlayTV demo - some comunists somewhere again decided what i can and what i can’t see and play.
Comment by Baf — Dec 5, 2008 @ 12:27 pm
(Or, more to the point, whether you can teach mobiletone to use the US site with his limited credit/debit card selection)
No “Savage Moon” this week in any region, though

From what I can gather I think the Entropay to US store train has left the station and those not on board already have missed the ride so to speak..
Comment by marvzilla — Dec 5, 2008 @ 1:58 pm
Hang on whilst I chew-chew that statement over….
Comment by fanpages — Dec 5, 2008 @ 5:25 pm
@ fp & marvzilla - indeed, Entropay no longer allow ANY purchases in the US with their card, and my Maestro is locked to a UK address so no adding it to my US account.
Sony’s loss, and more money into the ‘Elite’ fund jar, you see, anything i would have purchased and no longer can gets the money put in the jar. the clock is ticking, either Sony fixes the issue before i reach my total or i get another shiny new black box to sit under the TV
Comment by mobiletone — Dec 5, 2008 @ 6:17 pm

Once again SCEE fail, but hey when have they not failed. You might have thought that nearly 2 years down the line they would have made sure that games are released globally but again and again they fai.
