Konami has released another hybrid game on the PSP and this time it’s the Metal Gear Solid Digital Graphic Novel.
It’s an adaptation of the original Metal Gear Solid Comic Book, with a similar plotline and art directions, but with the addition of sound and cinematic effects. Check out PSP-Downloads review here.
I enjoyed piecing everything together in one of the modes but this is a couple of years old now. They should put it up on the PlayStation Store.

Yeah Shin-Ra is right this should go on the PS Store for sure!
Still good info, so thanks!

They should release the second one, apparently it’s had the original voice cast, but I could be wrong.

Just like the “Metal Gear Solid Digital Graphic Novel” that was released in September 2006.

Do you mean that this previous Universal Media Disc release is now going to be available for download to a PSP from the PlayStation Store, Three Speech?
(Well, if you have wireless broadband access. Those still on dial-up internet connections that used to use the defunct PC Store will struggle now).

A “graphic novella” on MGS, Tekken 6 out for the XBox 360 next year…Dear oh dear, whatever next for the diminishing PlayStation brand…?
Comment by Zed Zee — Dec 3, 2008 @ 9:15 pm
Zed Zee, PS3 still has Tekken 6.
ANd oh I don’t know; Killzone 2, Uncharted 2, inFAMOUS, MAG and Final Fantasy Versus XIII still look terrific……troll.

Comment by 3ergling — Dec 4, 2008 @ 2:38 pm
I’m confused, I brought this in the UK ages ago and it is in English what exactly is this and hows it different?
Comment by AKalair — Dec 4, 2008 @ 3:45 pm
If they threw in a few minutes of gameplay then they could call it a game, thats what they did with MGS4.
Comment by Topher08 — Dec 4, 2008 @ 3:53 pm
@3ergling

@fanpages
were on about the SECOND one.
Comment by Static-X — Dec 6, 2008 @ 8:41 am
Ah…
The blog entry mentions “Metal Gear Solid Digital Graphic Novel” not “Metal Gear Solid 2: Digital Graphic Novel”.
Suitable difference I know, but it didn’t infer the (second) title that Amazon have listed as being released on 30 March 2008, but HMV have a 30 May 20008 release date.
PowerPlayDirect have it listed for £13.99 but out of stock.
