I hate giving out but 4.79 does not equal 5.99 euro. Sony do realise the pound is nearly equal to the euro now. Im still buying it im just saying…

Threespeech, why don’t Sony offer demos for games like Savage Moon?
Comment by Matt — Dec 24, 2008 @ 12:20 pm
When i went on the update just now, there seems to be more than the list!
Street Fighter Alpha Warriors Dreams
and another Shoot movie? Or am i just blind and unable to see these on the list?
Comment by E-ROLE — Dec 24, 2008 @ 12:26 pm
Thankyou very much, great update here. Merry Christmas to you all.

@5 - Urrgh, there’s a mental image I could have done without.
Nice update, though. I don’t think I’ve ever downloaded so much from a single update.

Why is additional content so much. Of course I understand there is development costs but £1.79 for a character skin? Come on thats daylight robbery. Its exactly whats put me off Home - one big money spinner.

So much for Europe getting Street Fighter II HD in 2008…
Roll on 2009, I hope you bring PSN store updates where Europe does not get screwed over in comparison to the US store updates.
Still, if we are indeed getting SSFIITHDR next year then according to this:
http://www.videogamer.com/news/20-11-2008-9989.html
it should be made to support trophies. So that at least would be nice.
Comment by Mace — Dec 24, 2008 @ 1:52 pm
erm.. ’special offer’ Wipeout HD for £11.99? i thought it was that price anyway -huh-
aaaaaaaaaanyhooooooooooo just bought the LBPMGS level and costume kits.
HAPPY XMASNESS EVERYONE.

Nice to see SCEE have finally seen fit to start offering Price Promotions, let’s hope they become more regular like on the SCEA Store.
I decided to pick up Pain since it’s Christmas, nice bit of fun for the family, and a pound off too!
Not sure about Savage Moon, I like PixelJunk Monsters but that game was like £3.49 or something. For the money they’re charging I would want to try a demo first…
And I’m sorry but £7.99 for Mahjong Tales!!! That game is ancient and has been free on PC in various forms for years! I’m not sure what the PS3 can bring to it to justify that sort of money! Again a demo would have been nice.
But hey, let’s not moan on Christmas Eve! We can resume SCEE bashing in the new year!!!
Merry Christmas everyone!

I downloaded Street Fighter Alpha as I’ve only got my PSP handy, leaving the ps3 home for xmas. Will be getting LBP MGS4 stuff for sure. Savage Moon maybe.
I would say to anyone waiting for SF2HD that Alpha is alot better, but then thats just me. Having played HD on the xbox i was disapointed with the lack of animation for such gorgeous sprites.
Comment by liquidcalm — Dec 24, 2008 @ 4:49 pm
As an unhealthy fan of Pixeljunk Monsters I also want to know if savage moon is worth the money so if anybody has any input it would be welcome, have a good un’ everybody!

GOD DAM IT SCEE you forgot to post the MGS4 LBP content and Street Fighter Alpha on the New Zealand store. I hate you.

At least SCEE finally got around to making the resistance fall of man map packs free. About god dam time

PS. “Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix” is reviewed in the latest Official PlayStation Magazine (UK) & stated as “Out Now”… as is “Burn Zombie Burn”.
Mind you, last November “WipEout HD” was quoted as “Out Now” & we’ve only just got access to a Playable Demo of that!
PPS. I downloaded an update (2.53) to “Pain” yesterday in preparation for the new character, “Ao No Kutsu” (USD 0.99 in the US ‘Store update posted on the official US Blog yesterday).
PSP(s):
“Dead Head Fred” GBP 15.99 on the ‘Store…
GBP 9.99 (when in stock) at GamePlay
GBP 12.93 at TheHut
GBP 12.97 at Tesco (online)
and cheaper than the PlayStation Store price at various other e-tailers, including GBP 14.36 at Amazon.
BFN,
fp.

1 Hmmm £7.99 for MahJong (its not mahjong incidentally but rather Shanghai, the tile matching game) anyway that seems SOMEWHAT EXCESSIVE???
2. No demo for Salvage Moon means no SALE for Salvage Moon, I cant afford to GAMBLE over £6 of UK money in this day and age on a almost complete unknown.
3. Still no trophy patches for HV Bowling, Blast Factor and Echochrome.they have all gone live in USA…oh or the pixel junk eden patch that was meant to come on the 19th.
4. SSFHD still AWOL as is power up forever.and several other titles.
5 The LBP/Home/items are Overpriced and Unseasonally mean, the least you could have done was to include the MGS costumes in the level pack , talk about mean spirited tightness! The santa outfit in home is an utter robbery , when hong kong home is showering their patrons with free table top xmas trees and everything, and they dont even worship father xmas in hong kong.
I think we should have got free xmas trees and decorations for our apartments
6 happy christmas i suppose. even though with these complaints it will not be merry for me/ here is hoping that SCEE will try to fix these issues in the new year. and try to get more PS1 games on the store

THATS SUCKS, STILL NO SF2HD REMIX!?! WHATS THE PROBLEM
Comment by mark76 — Dec 25, 2008 @ 10:50 am
@17 sf2HD is exactly the same as original sf2
whit the exact same amount of animations so they dont throw of the balance of the game.
that way all the timing that ppl have practised all this years is not f up. so it is exactly what its called SF2 in HD no more no less still one of the best fighting games ever tough xD

@23
There’s nothing stopping Capcom keeping the timings the same but adding new in-between animation frames to smooth things out.
SF2HD looks crude and rough because there are so few animation frames for an HD game. The high-res visuals simply don’t work when partnered with incredibly simplistic and dated animation.
While I can see why people are (rightfully) annoyed at Sony Europe for messing up on such an epic level with this game’s release, I suspect they’ll be quite disappointed when they finally get their hands on it. I bought the PSN version from the US store, and played the XBLA trial too. It’s far from Capcom’s best downloadble title in my opinion.

How do I get the last update for GT5 prologue?
Internet connectivity is South Africa is expensive and very problematic. Why cant sony make these updates availabe as a PC download for people who dont have home net access?
