On the (European/UK) ‘Store, one of the “LittleBigPlanet™” MotorStorm Game Pack is spelled “Custume”.
All this extra time to prepare the entry & still somebody rushes to get the release online.
That’s commitment for you!
(PS. I got my “Exclusive Nariko Character Unlock Code” from Play.com via e-mail today. Hope all those waiting on it received similar communications).

fp.

ehmm.. am I getting old, or did we get End War and Mirrors Edge last week already ?
(well, that not an either/or option actually)
Comment by sentry23 — Nov 6, 2008 @ 6:52 pm
i bought the t-shirt without blinking………………………………….. i will go hide in my corner now… cos i cant play the game till it releases in Norway tommorow
Comment by Karl — Nov 6, 2008 @ 6:53 pm
£4 quid for a “1st week” tee-shirt intended for early adopters (well before the delay) ie the FANS…
What should of been a FREE gift turns out to be a slap in the face…
I got my Kratos thanks to OPM and Nariko thanks to Play, but the tee-shirt you can keep…
Guess what Ms did at the launch of Gears 1? a limited edition gamer-tag and theme for the console only for a few days and for FREE!, thats how you reward early adoptors of a game, something called “fan service”
not charge £4…
Comment by Mr. Monkey — Nov 6, 2008 @ 6:53 pm
LittleBigPlanet Rare T-shirt - £3.99 - Call me “crazy” but wasn’t this supposed to be a FREE gift for people buying it in the first week of release?
Surely LBP costumes should be FREE or if you must charge for them make them 99p or less.
For £3.99 in the same week you can buy Theme Park.
How the hell does a single T-Shirt compare to a full game?
….listen carefully SONY, I can hear the already fustrated and annoyed fanbase banging there heads against a wall. (while you have one hand in there wallet….)
Comment by SlapnutzUK — Nov 6, 2008 @ 7:02 pm
Listen folks, if you find the price of the T-shirt offensive then don’t frigging buy it. They’ll get the message.
Comment by I_LOVE_KNOCKERS — Nov 6, 2008 @ 7:04 pm
Great, the economy is spiralling out of control, and SCEE try an charge their loyal fans £4 for a digital T-Shirt. Come on.
I got a free Motorstorm T-Shirt from play for pre-ordering MS2, and its real, so when my house gets repossed, I’ll have something to keep me warm in my cardboard box.
I feel a LBP level being inspired by this

you can F-K right off!!!

£3.99 for a virtual t-shirt? No.
Comment by TheRealDeal — Nov 6, 2008 @ 7:28 pm
I have too much money. I think I will buy this shirt.
Comment by shane — Nov 6, 2008 @ 7:54 pm
@shane. can you buy it for me too then
Comment by VoodooCharlie — Nov 6, 2008 @ 8:12 pm
£4 for a t-shirt! I’d want a real one to turn up in the post for me to wear for that! LOL
I’ll stick with my Nariko, Kratos and FREE Space Suit and Halloween costumes thanks!
What makes it rare? Is it limited to a small amount of downloads or just limited by how many people will be daft enough to pay £4 for it? lol
The Motorstorm (aka Stig from Top Gear) outfit is also on the pricey side at £1.59 too.
When will SCEE and others learn that little bits of content like costumes or themes should be priced at the smae level of mp3 singles - i.e. 69p-99p. Anything more and it’s just not worth it, if they want to make some more revenue bundle 3 costumes together and charge £1.99 or something, I can’t believe it’s that hard to make a costume pack (not just LBP any game).
To put things in perspective look at the superb PixelJunkMonsters for £3.49, or any game at that sort of price range - are you tell me a Sackboy t-shirt or any other minor addition in other games (Yoda I’m looking at you!) is worth the same price? I think not…

Dude, you’re wasted here, really.
Also, a mind reader.
I echo what I_LOVE_KNOCKERS (inspired!) says. The best form of a protest would be to not buy it, not to post it on here (but do anyway, im not ‘dissing’ having a moan), however ’semi’ official the site is
No disrespect TS

omg! £4 quid for that!? That´s not a really nice way of saying thanks for buying the game early is it?
No thanks..no t-shirt for my sackboy.

*all dlc gonna go after price wise..i mised a word or to in my post i noticed ^^
Comment by mikkelito — Nov 6, 2008 @ 11:12 pm
I bought 10 of those little t-shirts, they’re sooooo cute - now my little guy is a big round sackball
Note to Sony (who always read my posts closely) I think you should be thinking of slightly higher prices for those little digital ornaments - £24.99 for gold adidas trainers would be about right, how else are the fabulously wealthy to assert their status in the “nobody knows you’re a dog” anonymised internet ? I want my £100 Sackboy Rolex dammit.
Comment by SoliidSnaake — Nov 7, 2008 @ 12:25 am
Umm, as so many have already said….. £3.99 is very over priced. I will not pay that for a real T-shirt! It’s a tenth of the price for goodness sakes.
Thankfully we don’t have to pay by the sticker.

What a crappy update! Not only you make us wait a week for the LittleBigPlanet costumes but you don’t even give us de Motorstorm and the “week one t-shirt” you gave Europe as a DLC for LittleBigPlanet!!!
And don’t make me even start about the free costume you gave day 1 to the Asian market and is not even here! Wait to support your market SCEA!!!

I’m surprised nobody has mentioned the cost of the “Premium Themes” yet…

Also of note:
The UK doesn’t see the release of “Tom Clancy’s EndWar” until 21 November 2008, and as per the US Update, the UK ‘Store is offering:
—
Tom Clancy’s EndWar FirstWar Enlistment Pack (free)
Enlist for the FirstWar on PLAYSTATION Network! This FREE download unlocks three exclusive unit upgrades – one for each faction – that you can acquire during campaigns. Be quick, this temporary offer is only available for the first week that the game is available in stores!
File size: 193 KB
—
Does this mean everybody who may buy the game needs to download the “Enlistment Pack” this week to get it for free?
Or does it mean that the attempt to release similar content to both the US & European regions this week has not been as fully thought through as it could have been?
Either way, I bought the over-priced “LittleBigPlanet” T-Shirt. My Sackperson will be smartly dressed in this until a complementary “I Am The Stig” T-Shirt is released to match the “MotorStorm Custume”.

fp.

@21 [me]:
It appears “Tom Clancy’s EndWar” is available in the UK already:
“In Stock”
But Amazon have it listed for a 21 November 2008 release date!?!
Whilst I’m on the subject, I managed to get the Collector’s Edition of “Quantum of Solace” from GameStation (the only UK retailer offering this version), but nobody seems to be stocking the Collector’s Edition of “Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm” other regions are being offered.
[And yes, I'm still disappointed that Europe is also not seeing the Collector's Edition of "Resistance 2" :(]

fp.

Hi T.S.
Is it ‘cos im looking at the site on my phone that i cant see my post from last night, or has it been removed? If its the latter, why?
Comment by Photek — Nov 7, 2008 @ 7:57 am
the motorstorm outfit was free in the US store. How do find the outfits/characters etc? I cant find my kratos
Comment by exprohound — Nov 7, 2008 @ 9:14 am
hahaha…. so three people bought the absolutely comically priced T-Shirt? ooo grtz on the 12 quid you made there…
Now if you HAD to sell something that should be a free reward for loyal customers, then maybe you should have thought about pricing it at… umm… 20p?? that’s probably how much it cost to make in terms of a developers time. but I think at 20p perhaps 61 people would have been happy to buy it. you just made 20p more than you would have selling it at 4 quid.
not only that but you have a happier customer base, that will happily promote the product to friends more willingly without comments such as, ‘DLC is a joke’, and people would probably be more willing to buy more DLC in the future.
I would love to work at sony and be in these meetings that come up with prices on DLC. You REALLY need someone that lives in the real world to give you all a slap of reality at every available opportunity it seems.
Seriously, anyone even remotely thinking about buying that POS, save your selves 50p and go buy Pixel Junk Monsters.
Comment by SH4RKY — Nov 7, 2008 @ 9:21 am
no Sephiroth and old Snake costume ?
Comment by jenny — Nov 7, 2008 @ 9:52 am
Ok, my post wasnt there before. And now its back. Hmmm. What happend there please T.S.? Are you vetting us now?
Comment by Photek — Nov 7, 2008 @ 12:05 pm
Will the t-shirt shrink in the wash?
Comment by Hartlepudlian — Nov 7, 2008 @ 12:31 pm
In defence of my action to spend £3.99 in times of hardship… well, until the Bank of England base rate lowered this week & saved me a heap of cash per month until September 2009 [co-incidentally on the day of the PSN Update... smart people at Sony aren't they? ;)]
My head is not the size of a pea as you may think, nor is it the size of a pumpkin even though I also downloaded the Hallowe’en mask costume too.
I purchased the additional “LittleBigPlanet” items to support the development team whom I believe have produced a very high quality game that spans generations of past (and future) gaming genres and will appeal to generations of potential gaming fans alike.
In fact, I’ll start calling it “The Generations Game”.
Didn’t they do well?
BFN,
fp.
