UNITED PROTECTED
‘RECRUITING THE BEST’
Defend your country from its mortal enemies, visit a recruiting office today.
With the Chimera virus spreading, we need you to join us in the fight back.
As part of our ongoing recruitment drive, we are holding a special enlisting and training day at Resistance HQ (Rendezvous, 48, Leicester Square, London) on 27.11.08 from 12.00hrs to 23.00hrs.
If you are over 18 and think you have what it takes to join the Sentinels, please join us for briefings, training and ultimately battle.
PlayStation will provide the rations and ammunition, you will need to provide the courage in taking part in 8 player co-operative missions against the enemy.
Bring those still able to fight and remember, your country needs you.

Chimera invade Leicester Square on November 27th
Posted Nov 21st 2008 4:20PM by Jem Alexander
Did you know that Resistance 2 still isn’t out in Europe? It’s finally out in a week, but you can try your hand at 8-player co-op a whole day early if you can make it to London. SCEE has announced that a free-to-attend event will be hosted at Rendezvous, a cake and ice-cream parlour in Leicester Square. There will be free food and 8-player co-op games will be taking place from midday to 11pm on November 27th. The event is restricted to those who are 18+ only.
Let us know if you’ll be attending. If you’re in the area, you’d be silly to say no to free food and games, right? Plus, it just so happens that a certain London-based PS3 Fanboy blogger will be in town that day anyhow, so it’ll be nice to know how many readers will be in attendance.

I’d love to attend but with all the great games being released this month & next, I also need to work to get paid to buy them.
Damn you Sony!
PS. Any chance of the US Collector’s Edition content for “Resistance 2″ in the UK?

fp.

Sony are losing and gamers are migrating in droves…I’ve never seen so much negative feedback from gamers against Sony and all thanks to their single-handed arrogance with this third generation.

I wonder if they’ll ever be a Sci-Fi game that *doesn’t* use Bank Gothic in its marketing and promotion material.

Really enjoyed the R2 shin dig. You get a goody-bag after playing some of the single player and 8 player co-op modes. That eight player co-op, really is addictive!
Goody bag contains R2 T-Shirt and a PS3 Mug ( plastic unfortunately ) and a Sony promo mag.
Spent about an hour and a half playing. Really loved it.
More please Sony! Not just in London.
Comment by Savage — Nov 27, 2008 @ 8:47 pm
Thanks for the information, Savage.
I’ll check on eBay for the goody bag tomorrow.
My pre-order of “Resistance 2″ from GAME.co.uk arrived today.
Anybody else ‘up’ for a few online multiplayer games this weekend?

As soon as Christmas rolls around I should have R1 finished ( yes I’m running late and I haven’t even started MGS4 yet ) and should be ready for R2.
