Bizarre decimal scoring system!?!
Also, does “High definition graphics in up to 1080p” really mean 720p upscaled?
And, this is an odd statement:
“DUALSHOCK®3 and optional SIXAXIS™ support”
Surely that should read:
“SIXAXIS™ and optional DUALSHOCK®3 support”

Its not a decimal scoring system, thats just how Johnny Foreigner does they’re numbers. A full stop instead of a comma (assuming this game was originally German).

[Sigh]
Yes, I know!

…that’s why the “locali[s|z]ation” will mean the title is released in North America before Europe!

Release date for USA October (2008)
Release date for Europe October (2009/10).

Ha, why the cynicism fellow ThreeSpeechers. Maybe, just maybe we’ll get lucky. Oh hang on, didn’t David Reeves say that we just had to put up with it…

It means vibration is supported, with optional motion senser function.

…which leads me on to NovaStrike, another good looking arcade shooter. It’s been out in the USA for a while now and today received a patch for Trophy support amongst other things.
WHEN we receive the game in Europe, do you think we’ll get the patch at the same time?

Did you see my comment posted earlier today (from an article at Eurogamer)?…

PAL Novastrike submitted to SCEE News
News by Tom Bramwell
Today 10:12
Tiki Games is working on getting Novastrike onto the European PlayStation Store as soon as possible, according to president and creative director Kevin McCann.
McCann was writing on the PlayStation Blog yesterday to announce the release of a patch adding Trophies, adjusted difficulty and controls and custom soundtrack support to the PSN shooter in the US.
“We’re working with going through the submission process with SCEE presently,” McCann wrote in a comment on the resulting thread. “I’m sorry I can’t be more specific (as I don’t have a date), but it [is] our main goal right now.”
We’ve asked Sony if anyone there can clarify.
Novastrike is a top-down shooter in which you have to shoot everything in sight with a variety of weapons. You can see what it looks like in screenshots and trailers on the Novastrike gamepage.

@7 [SDR]:
Yes, thank you, I know what they intended to say, but not every PS3 owner will have a DUALSHOCK 3 wireless controller. Some consumers may just have a DUALSHOCK 3, though.
The SIXAXIS wireless controller issued with the original PS3 consoles supports the motion sensor (in, erm, 6 directions), the DUALSHOCK 3 supports vibration feedback & the same motion sensor device in the SIXAXIS.
Hence, SIXAXIS should be the default/standard device supported throughout all the PS3 titles as this is the base controller supplied with the first consoles.
DUALSHOCK 3 should be the optional input controller device.

…I hope the Logitech “Chillstream” controller is also supported (even if it is ‘fugly’)…

PS3 Logitech Chillstream Controller with ventilation system
September 11th, 2008
The looks of the PS3 Logitech Chillstream Controller is what I would personally call ugly, but it works very well indeed. Ok it is not as good as the official controllers but is one I would defiantly recommend you buying if you are a hardcore gamer.
In fact to tell you the truth I personally have one of these and they are cool, no I mean COOL. The PS3 Logitech Chillstream Controller has the technology to keep your hands cool when playing games thanks to the ventilation force of the integrated fan.
Key features include Experience Logitech’s ChillStream “Active Cooling” technology, Fans channel air through the controller to cool the user’s hands, 3-speed setting variable cooling, Sleep and wake-up modes, Metal Mesh cooling details, V-shaped airflow guides provide continuous, channeled ventilation, Precision D-pad, Compatible with PlayStation3 Computer Entertainment System, Documentation in English, 2 year guarantee, Rubber grips plus Full product support.

Hey fanpages, I find that while my palms get warm, my trigger fingers get cold. WTF? So perhaps they should have little warm finger socks for the triggers, and ventilated palm bits! Ha!
Comment by LordOfRuin — Sep 12, 2008 @ 10:57 am
Why not ring Burtons or M&S, LordOfRuin, and ask if you can have the off-cuts from the fingerless gloves they sell?
Have you tried the Gioteck Real Triggers for the SIXAXIS or DUALSHOCK 3 controllers?
I got a set as a magazine cover-mounted freebie last year… they are fitted to my Japanese imported “Stormtrooper” White’n'Black DUALSHOCK 3 controller & certainly help finding the L2 & R2 buttons quickly when needed.
(Play.com sell them for GBP 3.49, and HMV have them in-store in larger outlets).
