Gameinfowire.com has got some nice new screens from Skate 2, EA’s pending sequel to (yes, you guessed it…) Skate. Skate 2 is set 5 years after the original game, and pitches players against the draconian security forces employed by Mongocorp, a wonderfully named mega-corporation that has been tasked with the reconstruction of earthquake-ravaged San Vanelona. That’s right, it’s a chance to use your PS3 to stick it to the Man. Click the link to see what EA have got in store for you. It’s gnarly, or something…

Hmmmm, not sure about this? I loved the first game due to its genius control system but grew bored of it faily quickly. All the sequel needs is a bigger map and more tricks…why do they feel the need for this weird storyline? Screen shots dont look very “Earthquake-ravaged”??
Maybe one to rent…

I hope this is not another dreadful port from the 360 version (well it is still EA after all). The first game would have been great if it wasn’t for the rubbish frame rate on the PS3 version (made some of the challenges impossible for me!). So I’ll wait for the full reviews of this one.

didn’t they do this on the Wii already, the whole earthquake etc deal?
also got an email from amazon today to say LBP isn’t being delivered until 31/10 - 4/11 as the dates have been changed by the supplier.. what gives? what happened to 24/10?? i want my week one t-shirt.

just got this back from an email to amazon about the LBP release:-
When you placed your order, “Little Big Planet (PS3)” was scheduled for release on October 24, 2008. Unfortunately the release date has now been delayed, and we do not yet have a firm date for availability.
After contacting our suppliers we have been informed that the delay in obtaining this title is due to the fact that the publishers have pushed back the publication date.
what’s going on TS? can you find out?

Further to my comment in the “LittleBigPlanet release dates and DLC confirmed!” blog entry, ‘tone, about the release date for “LittleBigPlanet” (21 October 2008 in Latin & North America, 22 October 2008 in Australia, New Zealand & Europe, & then 24 October 2008 in the UK & Ireland); I see what you’re saying now with Amazon… sorry… I misunderstood what you had typed before.
Play[dot]com are still stating 24 October 2008…
