WELL DONE SCEE! An update to go WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT about!

So now that that’s out the way, what does everybody reckon to SW Unleashed? Personally, I think it’s very pretty & I love the whole “Dark Side” angle, but it’s deleted (finished) already & I reckon I’ll wait for it on budget release.
Still d/l R&C at the mo, bl**dy Virgin capping mince!
Oh, and I’m loving the styling of the Prince of Persia gameplay video. Oopsies, wrong JapaNation…
Comment by Zoob — Aug 21, 2008 @ 10:32 pm
Disappointing to see the Australian store misses out on R&C while the UK and NZ stores have it available.

@ fanpages,
and still the SCEE thinks 15$ is 15€ (generating pure profit of 50%) on exactly the same content,
when purchased in the EU or outside the EU..
btw threespeech
Where is Africa,
Where is Home,
Where is LBP
Where is the Singstore news
Thought you were the “semi-officals”
should you be posting news that matters
btw i wonder what excuses the media-machine willl think of to inform us about the incorporation of the PS2-discs of singstore in the PS3 version
now i’m going back to the last guy

@16 [terrortime]:
It’s a fair point about pricing… but why do you think that it is SCEE who “cannot do the math”?
Maybe SCEA are mis-pricing instead.
I mentioned “Afrika” in the “Codemasters announce FUEL” blog entry comments a few days ago… but here’s a quick summary:
“Afrika” is out in Japan on 28 August 2008…
[ http://www.jp.playstation.com/scej/title/afrika ]
It’s not being released in Europe.

@fanpages,
missing the point,
shouldn’t a official-blog from sony be posting this,
instead of the users/viewers.
Afrika was stated as a new experience,
however since somewhere in the beginning this year, its changed to Japan only, without the notice to the rest of the world.
about pricing:
Elefunk 7,99€ while in the US 4,99$ (of 4,99 Pound)
currently the SCUK decides the prices for the rest of the EU.
while in the past 1.99$ was 1.99€ which already was overrated (1.50$ for every 1€)
but now it became more offensive.
and uses sony the UK leading magical pricepoints of 9,99 pound for R&C
while 9,99 pound = 12,5 euro
and 15$ = 10 euros
which option you choose, its nowhere close to 15 euros
you do the math ,i say we’r getting screwed
Comment by T3rrortime — Aug 22, 2008 @ 11:59 am
With respect, I wasn’t missing the point about the US ‘Store pricing (before they offer lower price incentives on special promotions); I have mentioned it myself a few times before (here at Three Speech).
“The rest of the world” was notified of “Afrika” being a Japan only release… just not here at Three Speech.
As good as this site is; it’s not the only site available for information.

Gotta just say - I’m absolutely loving the Forced Unleashed Demo. Role on Sep 19th! Not only is it a game about Star Wars, but has some of the elements of (IMHO) one of the best and most underrated PS2 games of all time - Psi-Ops.
Comment by Dave Vincent — Aug 22, 2008 @ 8:59 pm
@ fanpages,
while you’r busy with posting on all the questions,
is your ps3 turned off???
my way of saying thanx for clearing somethings up.
going back into normal mode
btw today i put a 500 GB SATA drive in my PS3 .
now only we need PlayTV,oh wait that doesn’t work in the netherlands,we have to have an additional contract for 7€ p/m to watch/record/stream TV
oh wait, then we have the alternative of a videostore in the Pal.
oh wait again,no info heard on leipzig on that.
so back to StrongVPN + entropay it is

R&C QfB - great fun….while it lasted. At £10 that was a rip-off. I love the whole R&C world..but this is just cynical. No doubt the ‘next instalment’ will be yet another £10. Based on the size of this one, released in this way ToD would have cost at least £100.
Comment by ChrisS — Aug 24, 2008 @ 12:59 pm
My review of the Star Wars demo -
It’s like your first handjob from your fat neighbour. At first it’s amazing, but it’s over too quickly, but when you go back for more, you realise it’s just going to be the same over and over again, until you feel hollow inside.

Hmm.
I updated Everybody’s Golf and downloaded the Kratos character yet it hasn’t appeared in game. Also the ‘icon’ for the the download in my list is a ‘broken image’ rather than the pic of Kratos.
Anyone know how I can fix this?

Afrika coming to Europe?
Monday 29-Sep-2008 2:08 PM
Photography sim might make it over here after all…
A Sony representative has apparently confirmed that Afrika will be released in Europe in 2009.
Sony had previously said that the safari photography sim would not see release on this side of the globe.
But reports from a Sony Cameras event in France say an English-language version of the game was on show, and quizzical journalists were apparently told by a Sony representative that it would see a release in Europe next year.
We currently await confirmation from Sony UK, but in the meantime you may want to put any import plans you have on hold.

Sony: “No plans” for Afrika release in Europe
Tuesday 30-Sep-2008 1:33 P
Sony dismisses reports of a Euro release
Sony has reaffirmed that it has “no plans” to release its PS3 photography sim, Afrika, in Europe, despite reports claiming the contrary.
Although Sony has previously said the game would not be released here, reports from a Sony Cameras event in France last week suggested a Sony rep had touted the game for a 2009 release in this territory.
Sony, however, says it’s not happening. “I can now confirm that there are currently no plans to release Afrika in Europe,” a Sony correspondent has told CVG.
Oh well, get back on the import plan. PS3 games are region-free after all, in case you didn’t know.
