11. OK-ish, nothing for me though. Games, Demo, Videos. Check. Got the facebreaker demo few weeks ago. Most fun is rendering a friends face, waiting half an hour then realising the game is kind of turd, then it says demo over before you’ve finished a round. Anything on the Soul Calibur packs? Been waiting a few weeks now for something that americas had since release and in my opinion should have been on the disc anyway. Seems like we’re going down the road that “expansion” now means “omission to be released later for more coin”. PJ monsters expansion got it right: release a game, proved popular, make a few more levels, release few months later.

19. SCEE need to get stuff out as quickly as the 360 does, I own both consoles and Sony are loosing out on my money because good games are always out on 360 weeks before PS3.

    If they cant sort out the localisation in good time at least release them on the UK store at the same time as the US store. 360 manages it, why cant you Sony?

26. Sheep rings a bell. Never owned it but I think I may have played it before. And Driver was great back in the day, but I got rid when the Getaway came along. Doubt I’ll pick these up, but definitely worth it for some I’d say.

    PS1 wise I only really want MGS, Blood Omen and Soul Reaver. It would be great playing them on my PSP.

    Not interested in Facebreaker, and Monster Madness was crap when I tried the US demo. I’ll give Tiger Woods a go, but I’m only getting it on the Wii anyway.

27. Wipeout release date will be announced at Leipzig next week, I’d bet my left bollock on it.

    As for this update, not bad, not great. More PS1 games are always welcome, and Sheep and Driver are decent ones, but I think I’ll be saving my money for Ratchet next week and The Last Guy the week after.

28. I’m fucking sick of sony. The ps3 could be great, should be great. Unfortunately the potential is being sapped away because for some baffling reason nobody seems to give a shit about us customers. We’ve had it for over a year and the only games to buy are either available on the xbox and pc and are, by all accounts, lackluster conversions, or about 2 games that are exclusives and are worth playing and those aren’t enough to justify buying this thing. The 360 meanwhile has a vast catalogue of quality games, all of which are cheaper, even new releases. Xbox live is also ten billion times better than the psn, which looks and acts like it was designed as a gcse project. Sony better get their god damn act together because this is fucking ridiculous and they should be ashamed, in fact they deserve to be trounced by microsoft as, although microsoft too are a money grubbing mega corp that really don’t give a shit if we all burn to death tomorrow, at least they’re not so lazy and contemptuous in their efforts to prize our money from our sweaty fingers. Now, this post will be placed on it’s own pretend server by you threespeech lads because i have dared speak badly of the people that pay your wages, i am positive. 32. My kids & I quite enjoyed the “Facebeaker” & “Monster Madness: Grave Danger” demos [from the US site]. Both titles are available on Blu-ray discs on 5 September 2008 in the UK.

    “Monster Madness…” is a kids title, though; so don’t expect too much.

    “Facebreaker” will probably be an even more enjoyable game on the Wii.

    Well I had high hopes for Facebreaker and started it up and found the menus great, the boxer customisation good but then when put in the ring found it really boring. Hit a button for high punch, another for low, another for haymaker. Not really any skill to it, just mash buttons. Prefered Fight Night as the analogue stick controls on that were pretty good.
    Hope you like it but I just felt the actual fights were very boring and there’s no ways I’d part hard earned money for it.

41. In the modern day world where people get access to news as soon as it happens (if not before) surely SCEE must realise that week after week SCEA do a much better job of keeping there customer base happy and that it grates us europeans to get the crappy end of the stick week after week.

    I love my Playstation and with or without store updates I’d still turn it on daily to get my fix of gaming but its so plain to see SCEA do so much more for their users, including engaging them on the blog, that I find week after week I must moan about SCEE dragging their heels.

    Where do we go to get a response? Threespeech is poor and they gave up responding to user comments ages ago, any complaints made on the EU forums are met with silence and no intenet news site will ever have the balls to ask SCEE directly about the issues complained about 1000’s and 1000’s of time every week in their own comments boxes. Being in SCEE is a lose/lose situation (unless your into casual games - singstar and buzz).

    The bad feeling aimed at SCEE every week is ignored and this ignorance causes it to grow and then the bad feeling is ignored creating a vicious circle. AT least have the balls to address people on their issues.

    I want to play 1942 & Bionic Commando, I want to buy the add-ons for Soul Caliber 4 (do you need to localise costumes??) Why should I have to trust a website to create a fake credit card for me to purchase these games that people on my friends list are playing? Its highly frustrating..

51. Too busy playing Bionic Commando on my 360 too care and the annoying thing is i would have preferred to be playing it on my PS3 like EVERY other region on earth except SCEE countries. Its a waste of time complaining though because they prove every week that they are too arrogant to even respond and explain themselves.
    I do not buy the localization excuse because xbox manage to globally launch all their products including bionic commando so why cant SCEE, no wonder they are so hated.

    All our bridges to SCEE are already burnt…

    If I wasn’t spending my cash going to Leeds Festival next week, I would been hopping on a plane to Germany to confront the “suits” who run SCEE face to face, that is the only option I feel is available…
