In game messaging, your own music in game, and a clock at the top right have all been confirmed on the PS blog. This will be the best update ever come July 2nd.
The resident whingers make you wonder why they bought a PS3 (or visit these pages) in the first place! Maybe it’s time for a backlash, where everyone whinges about the whingers…

RE: MR Glider
Home maybe hahaha though this will do me for the time being ^^
Normally I don’t post here, but in this case i’ll make an exception :p
First off thanks for the high res images. Many people ask on the PS blog if there will be ingame chat? When you look at the first picture it clearly sais … start new chat. I don’t know if this will be cross game or that you will have to leave the game like they showed with starting another game while you are playing GT5.
What just came up on my mind is, how does this update show when you have completed the trophie? Does it show you a sign like when a friend is online or like the 360 does?
It should be noted that in game music from XMB will have to be implemented in the game. It’s not automatic for all games. So its likely you’ll only see it in new games and only if the developers include it.
i want 1 store to rule the world,
with the same pricing worldwide
not the crap 200% increase the EU currently has compaired to the US.
while we should pay 50% of their price in euro’s
NOOOO sony we don’t have anything to complain about now.
Comment by ThreeSpeechlover — Jun 30, 2008 @ 8:00 pm
US stores almost never include tax.
but if u live in the UK with it’s special POUND and not the Euro it sucks to be you as everything is even more expensive then in the Euro zone (u should have switched to the EURO for cheaper crap)…
In game music does not have to be implemented from in the game, all that is required is the option to turn off the BGM for the game which most games have. You simply turn off BGM then set up a playlist of your own music and you’re away!
yes but got there eventually! I think Trophy Fever has made the servers go a bit mad for SSHD.
Was just wondering, on one of the gaming sites I was looking at today, a few people with EU 60 gig PS3’s were saying previously incompatible PS2 games (such as Manhunt) were now working smoothly.
Does anyone know of a regularly updated Backward Compatibility site? I’ve tried looking at the Official Sony one but the last update on there was with firmware 1.80.
Does the video include the part where the update is pulled due to ANOTHER fiasco caused Sony?

So no in-game music then :(?

Has anyone else downloaded 2.4, then tried to update Super Stardust to get some trophies and have the thing crash and re-start? Twice.

Is anyone else having any problems with their PS3 since the update? I can’t get mine to play any games.
Comment by Krusty — Jul 3, 2008 @ 1:36 am
I read the various comments, backed up my saves, downloaded the patch to a USB stick & ran the update. All 100% operational. Yay!
Comment by Zoob — Jul 3, 2008 @ 2:01 pm
So what version of SSHD do you need to be running to get trophies?
