Back on Wednesday we ran a story on your favourite PS1 games, and you got back with some long and excellent lists. We distilled your favourites down into a single (and long) list of contenders. To keep the list manageable we’ve rolled series in together, so make sure you point out if there’s a particular episode you love. As ever, if your favourite game isn’t there, let us know….

Fear effect…just because i’m “that” kinda guy…and also due to the excellent storytelling and presentation and fun cute cell shaded jugs…er…characters.

so many good ones….I was gonna say FF7 then MGS then Parasite Eve but then I saw Vagrant Story and had to vote that -just to be different

Suikoden. Quite possibly the best game ever. Well, apart from Portal. And LittleBigPlanet when it comes out ^.^

I voted for Final Fantasy (I’ve played VII, VIII and IX like 500 hours altogether. ^^ But I also love Crash Bandicoot and CTR, and Metal Gear Solid.

Not the best timing, just after MGS4 has come out. But anyway, i was going to vote for Final Fantasy, but Spyro is still my favourite series ever.

I nearly went for G-Police or Colony Wars, but had to go for Rollcage in the end. So many fun memories. You could drive on the walls or the ceiling. And you could flip upside down and keep right on going!

I picked Parasite Eve. While I liked Final Fantasy and all, but parasite eve was probably one of the most solid games. Especially for its time.
Also, I’d like to give a shout out to Rival Schools. That’s a pretty fun game.

Is this poll going to help with getting PsOne games on PSN?
I voted for Hogs of War, but I must admit, the whole Crash Bandicoot series, Rollcage Stage 2, Driver, both Oddworld games and Worms Armageddon would be welcome to take up some of my 60GBs HD space.

This is obviously because Sony are inept at choosing which PS1 games should be emulated and resold on the PS3/PSP.
So what do you do when you don’t have a clue? You ask those who’ve been telling you all along that you’re releasing the wrong titles or there should be more of them and they should be cheaper!

@ 9: Rollcage is good but I have the original and the PS2 to emulate it on, so I don’t need it resold to me again for another £4 and make more money for the very same company that is excluding Europe from getting the Dual Shock 3.

I am really surprised that Legend of Dragoon was not listed as an option. I know that this supposed to be a more Euro-centric site so I have to ask…. was Legend of Dragoon released in Europe?

I just had a look at the US blog for the first time in a long.long time and it really makes you realise what a crap shack this excuse for a blog is.
They have accountability in abundance over on the US blog with fast,concise,informative and polite replies to questions (even questions which don’t allude to how fantastic Sony are).
This site needs a drastic change before it descends into a total farce.
When will SCEE empower the Threespeech personnel to answer questions and give information? They better start yesterday or SCEE is going to end up being shut down.

I still preferred the original Soul Edge title, used to love it when the guy who did the voice over said SOOOOOUUUUL EEEEEEDDGEEE!, when t got converted to soul blade _ I almost cried, it was awful!

I voted Final Fantasy, not because I want to buy it from the store but because I want the emulation FIXED for Final Fantasy 8. My copy of the game boots up and plays the PS1 logo but then just goes to a blank screen.

Crash Team Racing. I can’t know how many hours I wasted perfecting my times on the time trial mode, or evading each other’s missiles on battle mode, good times

with a list that big i think it should have been you top 3 all time ps1 games
i put ridge racer as my fav but my top 3 would be
1 ridge racer ( still play all from 1 to 7 and still love em
2 metal gear ( i have many fond mems of this
3 Guitar Freaks this game was amazing
iv still got it but my jap ps1 gone to heven so it just sits there

Now on the basis that it’s a popularity thing and just maybe someone will be reading and remake or PSN release something, I voted for Hogs Of War.
Most of the others I like have or will be released for sure.

I chose Syndicate Wars cuz it was a good sci fi RTS, however, I would have chosen Front Mission 3 if it were on the list!!!
