Good update, demo’s are good
8 map packs for an unreleased GPS system.
I can already imagine the SCEE hating threads.
why do Sony constantly do this type of thing, at least give us some idea of when the GPS unit is going to be released, as the date and more importantly price is a mystery to all, especially U.K. retailers.
Comment by danmagic — May 22, 2008 @ 2:27 pm
eh??? what a rubbish update, how come no echochrome in europe ????
Comment by exprohound — May 22, 2008 @ 2:33 pm
Erm, weren’t the Playstation Day trailers already on the store last week?
As for the Bourne Demo, I think that is a cop out this week, because this was supposed to have been released last week with the Haze demo and Sony didn’t release it when they said they would, so it gives them something to fill the store up with this week.
Waits for the US Store update, because I’m sure that will either have some stuff, or another let down.
Seems Sony really lack in anything to put on the EU Store lately, even though there are stacks of stuff they haven’t bothered with.
Comment by Capeview — May 22, 2008 @ 2:45 pm
So when you you buy Go! explore, does it not come with any maps?
Comment by lxd — May 22, 2008 @ 2:52 pm
Ah, i’m not just rubbish at shopping and missed Go!Explore coming out. Am I right in thinking it is out in some European countries? Anyone know of a site you can import it from? Or are evil sony blocking the GPs signal to the UK to prevent this!
Comment by Jeebers — May 22, 2008 @ 2:55 pm
Go!Explore is out in Germany and 3(?) other countries that I can’t quite remember. Saw it during first may bank holiday weekend there and they had the same pack for 4 countries.
Comment by pat — May 22, 2008 @ 3:05 pm
Do we have a date for Echochrome yet? Can’t remember if one was announced, and I’m too lazy to go looking.
Meh, still busy with GTA anyway.
Comment by Dan (PSN - Detale) — May 22, 2008 @ 3:13 pm
Before DaveC comes on moaning about Dual Shock 3…
… I bought two from ebay - £25 each, just got home and playing GTA with them now
Comment by Chris Ackroyd — May 22, 2008 @ 3:36 pm
Demos are worth checking out. The rest looks meh.
Comment by reakt — May 22, 2008 @ 3:38 pm
Disapointing update SCEE…
Kaz gone home has he? Gone back to your old ways have you?
Was expecting ECHOCHROME or the Dark mist update pack (That should have really been included in the original game) this week.
I was really expecting Echochrome though.
The demos are for shovelware. Iron Man is disgustingly awful.
Back to the old ways it seems SCEE.
Comment by clive — May 22, 2008 @ 3:49 pm
I love being european, we’re constantly taken for a ride. We had to wait months for Pain and it look like we’re gonna have to wait months for echo chrome. Thanks alot Sony from me and everyone in your biggest territory
Comment by Dwarfsmuggler — May 22, 2008 @ 3:50 pm
i see have been banned from threespeech, was me making fun of SCEE to much for them?
Comment by test — May 22, 2008 @ 4:05 pm
I been waiting for Explore since it was announced. One thing confuses me though:
UK & Ireland 15 quid
Italy, 15 quid
All of western Europe including these countries, 15 quid.
Is that right? The massive size difference would indicate the Western Europe one contains ALL the individual map packs, but it costs the same as just one.
Comment by nailerr — May 22, 2008 @ 4:05 pm
what a crap update
Comment by carl — May 22, 2008 @ 4:06 pm
@9 … don’t forget Dark Mist! Oh.. wait.. sorry.. you have that… actually EVERYONE has that.. except for N.A.
Comment by shane — May 22, 2008 @ 4:51 pm
and the reason of the months delay for Pain,HV bowling was according to the people with the knowledge
Localisation.
and what did we buy
a ENGLISH(US) only game
meaning LOCALIZATION-DELAY is Crap excuse
and since Threespeech is constantly deleting my messages, when it comes to real news released by SONY

Oh SCEE! Are you having a laugh?
Why have we got Echochrome wallpaper when we are the only ones who dont have Echochrome??
Are the Europeans just mugs who will sit and stare at their Echochrome wallpaper while everyone else in the world plays the game and even starts getting the user generated content today?
So is it going to be another situation like Everyday shooter where we will be getting this game in 8 months time or what.
Very unhappy with this garbage update today, very unhappy. I will go and stare at my Echochrome wallpaper now….

Nothing for me. At least there is something in the store to moan about (albeit late), talk about never being happy.

Note: “The Con” [PSP] game-play for the US market was slightly different (more difficult opponents, if I recall correctly) to the same title released in the UK.

ah this is bloddy piss take!
Totally agree about echocrome!
Many would say that sony treats its premier downloadable content like its babys…well that would be true since it takes about 9 months to spit each one out into a different territory!
been waiting about 7-8 months for shivering isles since release on the US PS3 store…maybe its water will break over here soon…….
Comment by Superted2007 — May 22, 2008 @ 10:28 pm
So glad we don’t have the choice of the SCEA store - thanks Sony for the usual crap, making sure you know that you think I’m an idiot, and you dont want me as a customer. Without that, I’d feel really valued
Comment by Mike — May 23, 2008 @ 12:43 am
I am glad my PS3 is not connected to the internet at the moment as this is a steaming pile of dung which is being offered up as entertainment.
And by the way, is possible to post on the PS3’s semi-official blog by using an actual PS3 yet?
Comment by Ton Capone — May 23, 2008 @ 5:19 am
[Sarcasam]I am sure echocrome needs all the instrucstion translated into lots of different languages which is why it’s taking so long.[/sarcasam]
Comment by Ali — May 23, 2008 @ 9:23 am
@ nailerr
The Western pack is more expensive actually, it’s 24.99 as oppose to the other packs at 14.99 each.
@superted
Um, not sure how to break this but the Shivering Isles DLC is NOT coming to the PS Store. Do you remember the video that was up, it was removed after a week…apparently Bethesda can’t play nice with SCEE over the DLC…
Comment by mikeck — May 23, 2008 @ 10:10 am
Cheers but nothing for me this week. I’ll have to be content with a good chuckle at the usual suspects whinging about not being an american! I want this and i want that etc…..Get a grip you sad tw@s. There is more to life than waiting for a demo of a game that you will probably slag off anyway.
Back to Liberty City now….
Comment by Si Doob — May 23, 2008 @ 12:10 pm
Didn’t anyone spot the GTA4 add-on pack ?
£4.99 for a whole new set of missions! Great!
