If you haven’t checked this one out already get over to Codemasters’ site to view the latest Overlord video. This is the game in which you, the eponymous Overlord, must assert your power over the land by using your army of minions. Much in the tradition of games like Dungeon Keeper, the game mixes familiar fantasy scenarios with dark humour.
The extended PS3 edition – Raising Hell contains a whole load of new content allowing you to explore five new realms in 7.1 surround sound.
Oh yay more codemasters shovelware

Wow, talking about jaded gamers. This is nothing like Black & White, and it’s a great game. I’m not saying that because I’m from The Netherlands, but because the game is fun to play.
There’s a reason it’s been sold over a million times on both Xbox 360 and PC combined, and you should be grateful there are more fun games like this coming to the PS3. Not to mention the added mini-map, the extra realm and the better graphics.
Oh wait, I get it. Because the game first appeared on X360 and PC you probably deemed it not worthy for the PS3. Too bad for you, because it contains a lot of tongue in cheek humor and guess what, the story’s been written by the same person who wrote the screenlay for Heavenly Sword. That, and the minions are fun to play with.
At least give it a try, don’t be so dismissive.

Black & White? Absolutely not.
It *is* a shameless Pikmin rip-off, though, but going by the demo it’s not a bad one by any means. Not a PS3 system-seller, obviously, but one to watch out for in the bargain bucket.
