a RIFF is an ostinato figure: a repeated chord progression, pattern, refrain or melodic figure, often played by the rhythm section instruments, that forms the basis or accompaniment of a musical composition.
i guess this sums up what playing Everyday Shooter will be like. didn’t you kids pay attention in school?

I bought this from the American store ages ago. I refuse to buy anything from the European store until they get their act together. I find it completely unacceptable the way SCEE is treating their customers.
I also do not understand why Sony does not give their biggest market more attention. This has to change.
Comment by NAT_TA — Feb 11, 2008 @ 7:37 pm
This is one amazing post.
1) Everyday Shooter is finally coming to Europe
2) You’re as repetitive as we’ve all been for the past n months. I guess that means “In your face, now shut up”, which rocks, because:
3) Everyday Shooter is finally coming to Europe
Comment by Inzoum — Feb 11, 2008 @ 7:42 pm
About time. Sony dont get any props for this. It should have been out ages ago in Europe.
Comment by sarge mat — Feb 11, 2008 @ 7:52 pm
It’s probably not that easy to localise a game that was written by a guy in his bedroom. Anybody that knows anything about programming will tell you that. Just be glad that it’s finally here. I’m sure there will be something else to complain about soon enough…
Comment by uber1337 — Feb 11, 2008 @ 8:32 pm
whats the big deal about this game it looks pretty boring imo. anyone else not give 2 shits about this title? oh yea and 6month after America crap or not its pathetic.
Comment by scott — Feb 11, 2008 @ 8:34 pm
How funny would it be if it isn’t in the update after that announcement!
Any news on whether High Velocity Bowling will be joining it?
Comment by Apnomis — Feb 11, 2008 @ 8:57 pm
And just like that, it appears. With no explanations for its delay, the torture it’s caused PS3 owners or whyit will carry the usual extortionate UK price as well. Right, ThreeSpeech?
Comment by Zed Zee — Feb 11, 2008 @ 9:08 pm
GIMME PAIN TILL I DIEEEEE
or as sony likes it,you prob. would die of aging before PAIN is released here
Comment by terrortime — Feb 11, 2008 @ 9:17 pm
Any chance that High Velocity Bowling will come out soon? (or do I need to create a US account to get it?).
Comment by Weber — Feb 11, 2008 @ 9:49 pm
I was excited as a bunny with a fresh Duracell up its arse when I first started watching trailers for it, then the waiting set in and now I’m not sure I can be arsed buying it.
Think I will follow the example of a poster above and go to the US store for all my purchases. SCEE can kiss goodbye to any future PSN business from me unless its a rare title that comes out in EU first.
Comment by Shrui — Feb 11, 2008 @ 10:43 pm
I know what a musical riff is, but I thought that since it was in caps that it was an abbreviation for something.
I thought it might stand for “Really Interesting and Fucking Fun : Everyday Shooter”

In game XMB!
The post can’t all be positive! =D
Comment by Obli — Feb 12, 2008 @ 12:04 am
It is a shame it missed the january release date, i really wanted to buy from the Euro store, but i also had to have ES in january.
It is definitely worth a purchase though, almost the perfect game, just a shame it doesnt have full 360º shooting. Everyone should buy it.
Comment by Accordion — Feb 12, 2008 @ 12:07 am
How lovely. What will we get *next* week? The wheel, maybe? Fire?
Far later than originally promised, which was far later than it *should* have been. Sorry, Sony, but the moment PSN cards are available there’s no reason for anyone to even look at the European store.
Comment by iapetus — Feb 12, 2008 @ 12:20 am
HOw much? It had better NOT be more expensive then what the US paid!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Or there will be hell to pay!
Comment by carl — Feb 12, 2008 @ 1:36 am
OMG FINALLY!!!!!!! What was the near half a year delay???? Now if you can just sort out the 8 month late and counting Blast Factor Advanced Research and puzzle fighter I can rest in peace. EVERYDAY SHOOTER has recently been being sold for $4.99 (2.50) on the US store I personally believe that this is the pricepoint SCEE should offer Europeans even if its an introductory offer for the first week and then it goes up to 4.99. This offer would be a fitting apology by SCEE for the horiffic delay. PS PIXEL JUNK MONSTERS IS THE BEST PSN GAME EVAR. Will ther be expansion packs or a sequal?
Comment by happy — Feb 12, 2008 @ 10:07 am
I may get this although I just seen the US release date, a not to long ago, OCtober 11th. Seems like Sony are tightening up these European release dates these days.
Comment by BENNE77 — Feb 12, 2008 @ 10:33 am
All this over a PSN game..?
Comment by Terry — Feb 12, 2008 @ 11:12 am
Where is the Flow upgrade, where is the Advanced Research upgrade, where is the Stardust upgrade. I don’t understand why people are congratulating sony for delivering a late game that should have been out ages ago, and as usual no reason to back it up.
Comment by Terry — Feb 12, 2008 @ 11:13 am
Looks like Eurogamer has done threespeechs job agian and be able to get a price out of SCEE http://www.eurogamer.net/article.php?article_id=92499
4.99 GBP which is an OK price.
Comment by carl — Feb 12, 2008 @ 11:15 am
@53
I could have told you that, arnt all original PSN games 4.99?
Comment by BENNE77 — Feb 12, 2008 @ 11:18 am
what the hell is so good about this game. I hadn’t even herd of it b4 I saw the usual TS moaning about it.
It’s like the second coming or sumthin. lol
Comment by E-ROLE — Feb 12, 2008 @ 11:22 am
The stardust upgrade is already in. Just wasn’t promoted at all.

Comment by Shrui — Feb 12, 2008 @ 11:46 am
I assume he meant the purchasable upgrades listed as coming soon in the integrated store on the new version.
It’s odd that these upgrades are taking so long as I figured they’d be easier to manage than entire new games.
Comment by Chris Scott — Feb 12, 2008 @ 11:55 am
I had the superstar dust upgrade ages ago. Plays my own music in game! Oh wow! Ha ha ha!

If this came out earlier I would have bought it within seconds of release. Now that I’ve had months to think about it, the hype has died down and I’ve picked up some other interesting games.. not so sure anymore.
At the moment I’d buy it more to support indie game development than to actually play the game.
