Nice, but I would like that all the game looks graphcally as good as the cars, and the diference between all the elements of the game and the car is to high :_(
Yeah Roger, I know what you mean. The scenery could be a little less clinical, a little more, I dunno, natural? But, well, small moves, small moves. Full GT5 should make me change my shorts.
The Cars look awesome, but the pit crew look very year 2000 ish. But it’s all about the cars baby! I wonder if they have my favourite call of all time? The legendary Karmann Ghia!
Stick a Porche engine in it with those classic looks, I’m sure no C list celebrity could resist getting a court order against me.
I would’ve thought game-play is what it’s all about. There are plenty of good looking racers on PS2 as well, but if they play rubbish (I admit playability is a matter of individual preference), then what’s the point of pretty pictures?
Generally speaking, I’m not sure about GT’s Prologue games. They seem like Sony hurrying up Polyphony Digital to release the game, just because it’s game engine is finished, while the developer continues to input the rest of the data for the remaining cars/tracks. And I don’t like that.

My Play pre-order is now priced at £17.99 I don’t think it’s that bad, that said, I’m a sucker for this particular brand of Cash Cow I have all the others…
@ Jay, no got the Jap import and that’s how it looks, I think it’s the best looking racer out and the full game’s not even finished yet. BTW GT’s don’t really have ‘cut scenes”.
I agree that GT4 Prologue was a bit of a rip off but at least this one is going to be updated a few times before the full game release.
John, the full game’s car list is yet to be officially annouced anyway but it has been announced that downloadable cars will be available after the full game is released. Also, interestingly, it has been said (though I can’t remember the source so don’t know if it was official) that it will be possible to comission Polyphony to make a car for the game
If you dare to take me up on my challenge, I want you to find out from Sony whether this Prologue release has EVERYTHING in it that the ‘full’ game will have (in terms of game code, features, on-line etc.) except in terms of number of cars and tracks?
If the answer to that is “Yes”, then I’d say just buy this Prologue, because really, let’s face it the majority of gamers will never use all the tracks - let alone all the cars - in Prologue, so it won’t be worth getting the full game.
I still maintain that Prologues are ‘jump before you get pushed’ ultimatums from Sony to Polyphony Digital, because of their impatience to have a return on their investment and of course getting something out for the PS3 that’s exclusive and worth playing.

@16 Zed Zee - of course it’s not going to have EVERYTHING in it, but it does have enough to keep us all happy until the full game comes out. i love the GT series, and also Tourist Trophy (GT on bikes basically)

personally i think the full game will blow us all away.
PS: i got my Dualshock3 today (lost in post for 3 weeks! grr) and Prologue was the first game i tested it on. nice, ceramic white rumble machine.
Im big fan of PS3 but hate the GT series simply because of lack of any destruction or damage and also sound fx are same (shite) since first GT on PS One. Cant wait for RACE DRIVER: GRID looks promising…
I _think_ that the full GT5 will have damage modelling; I think they know it’s what the fans want. Also, from reviews/previews the sound was excellent in prologue, even to the point of making a different sound when you are in the slipstream of another racer (!!)
looks gd cnt wait

Presumably these are the equivalent of cut scenes so potentially better than gameplay?
Still, I’m expecting the gameplay graphics to be awesome.

And in the pit it can stay until they rethink the ridiculous price they are going to try and charge us for a demo.

@Capone - its a prologue, the demo was the Suzuka download in Nov Japan. this is much more and worth the 20 quid IMHO.
