In a recent interview with Ted Price of Insomniac Games some interesting information on Resistance 2 was revealed. Ted talks about which features he thinks are most important to a FPS game and he also discusses AI improvements, storyline, online play and bosses - some which are said to be 100ft tall.
There is also an interview with Colin Munson of Insomniac, who talks mainly about Co-op play. The clips are only interviews, so no in-game footage is shown but they are definitely worth a look. Be warned - there seem to be some sync issues with the videos.

THIS is a want want want for me - I need a new life with less work and these games

Personally, I think the church battles were excellent strategy - you can’t buy that kind of publicity! Several people I know insisted on coming round to play RFOM on my PS3 as soon as they saw the story. Two of them even went out and got a PS3 a day or so later too. Maybe they need to do something even more shocking this time. After all, combat of the type in RFOM sure wouldn’t step round a church. That would just be stupid.
Anyway, looking forward to this sequel.

Hey, as long as us atheists let religion fanatics do their thing, least they can do is allow us to run through their churches/mosks guns blazing!
But in all seriousness, every religion has had it’s moment of violent times. Holy Crusades, WWII or 9-11 are just tiny examples of these…
All I wanna say is: let gamers be and a Happy Winter-een-mas everybody!

@ Zed Zee, that joke wasn’t funny when you used it in the Resistance story 3 days ago, and guess what it still isn’t.
It amazes me that despite the fact you don’t own a PS3, you have no intention of buying a PS3, and you never have anything constructive to say, you still persist in annoying the rest of us here.
Why don’t you just grow up and get a life already?
P.S. For the record, the church scene in R:FOM was completely in context - it was turned into a hospital (which they did in WWII), it was a place the soldiers took sanctuary (as they did in WWII), but it was invaded by the enemy.
The way the CofE made it out you would think the game was about a terrorist hijacking the Sunday service and shooting women and children in the head! Whereas in fact it was a plot line no different to many 50’s/60’s war movies, the last example of it I saw was War of the Worlds (1953), which also featured people hiding in a Church until the aliens found them…
All that arguement did was highlight how out of touch the Church is with modern society and their ignorance to new entertainment mediums. They heard “Church in a game” multiplied it by “Grand Theft Auto”, and jumped to the wrong conclusions.
Maybe if you had actually played the game you would have realised that and posted something intelligent for a change instead of your usual drivel…

The latest Insomniac podcast clarifies a fair bit about what will be the multi-player component in Resistance 2 - Listen to it here :

They do discuss other non R2 things and interview some guys from NeoGaf who also happen to have worked on Halo. All round a good show.
Note : it is now a M rated show, so expect some swearing/cussing.

I’m a keen horticulturalist. Can they leave out gun battles in which gardens are trampled this time please? Thanks.

y dous the christion church feel so affended by the manchester lvl. i think that if they had just made them fight in it and it wasnt a hospital then the church would be alot more shock but i supose that if they made the church blow up id be i very differnt story. rfom2 looks sick by the way and sorry about my spelling, whatever (^.^)
