It had to happen. With this amount of carnage set in a place going by the name of Paradise City, the developers of the upcoming addition to the Burnout series really had no choice of background music for their trailer other than the legendary ‘Paradise City’ by Guns N’ Roses. Oh, won’t you please take me home… Check out the trailer below.

Predictable, yes but also very fitting choice of tune. After the demo (which was amazing) this is probably one of the games I’m most looking forward to in January. In most months up to this point, that isn’t saying much but Jan is a cavalcade of awesomeness and kicks off the 2008 of PS3-owning-bliss nicely

I used to be worried since Burnout Paradise and Soul Calibur IV would be out around the same time. Which to play more? Now I’m not worried anymore. Burnout Paradise disqualified itself and is already my pick for most dissapointing title of 2008.

bl00dy game still locks my console up in online mode after a few minutes play. sucks.

I loved the demo, open ended feel of it akin to GTA and the graphics were brilliant. I can’t wait for this to come out!
Online mode as well was brilliant fun. Hopefully will have a bit more to it than just taking each other out, could get dull after a bit.

Im not sure about this one, I think they peaked with Burnout 2 and have gone downhill since EA took over.. I think they’re just trying to cram too much into it. I hate the DJ, and the free roaming just makes it feel a bit aimless.. Oh, and ’stunt mode’? Its a car, not a skateboard.
Still, the crashes are top-notch as ever!

The DJ is the first thing I shut down in Burnout 3 and I was pleased to never hear that voice again. But you can’t shut it down, turning Paradise into audio hell.
Crashes look fantastic, but there’s no aftertouch and no way to control when it goes in slowmotion. They really ruined that.
But it’s gonna sell huge anyway, just because of the title, the promotion and kids who think driving around aimlessly crashing into things and eachother is the best Burnout has to offer. Then again, in Paradise City, it probably is.
