Thanks TS. Gonna try and convince him he needs Guitar Hero 3 next week (god, the missus is going to leave me!!!).

I haven’t read the Guardian piece yet. They’re not bitchin’ on about the violence in games are they?

I don’t know whats changed as regards the mainstream media’s opinion of computer games but we do appear, in their eyes at least, to have come of age at last (my missus would disagree though)

At last we can be proud of our gaming interests!

@all the complainers

1) any update is a good thing, Sony have no obligation to provide us with content, especially the free stuff, i am very happy with what i got yesterday, some nice videos, a demo, some motorstorm stuff

2) the list of what was going to come out was clearly marked as provisional and subject to change, anyone complaining about it should read it again

@ Dan - Happy Birthday to the little man. Will get you a date on that soon as but I guess we would have known by now if it was out this weekend. And yes agree on the games and films comparison. Felt kind of proud that the industry is hitting out so hard in the mainstream press - especially to the Guardian readers of this world. Shows how broad the audience and industry as a whole now is.

Three Speech, please let SCEE know their Euro ads are completely off the mark. The days of the big selling PS2 dominance are over and they no longer have the latitude to make artsy offbeat ads that leave potential consumers bewildered. They need ads that sell consoles. I wonder if they even test their ads on a sample audience as it seems they just rubber stamp any old tosh.
