After its delay a while back, things have been quiet with regards to Home. However Home is progressing well, with the latest update of the beta (build 0.7.7) just being released.

The following details on 0.7.7 have been posted over at the PS3 forums:

* There’s a new building in the world, although it’s currently one that can’t be entered
* You are finally able to enter your Home Space’s patio
* You can now use your own pictures in your Home Space
* A game launching option has been added, though it is not functioning completely at the present time
* The cinema’s movie theatres have transferred from the second floor to the first floor
* America, Japan, and Europe each have their own server now

The basic premise of PAIN is simple: cause as much destruction and, yes, pain as possible. At your disposal is a gigantic man-sized catapult loaded with the character of your choice. Add this to a physics driven environment and away you go.

Just got a press release from Sony announcing the forthcoming expansion pack for Warhawk which is going by the name ‘Operation: Omega Dawn’. Genius. There’s a brand new map and a new aircraft, the KT-424 Combat Dropship, with the operation being set at night to add to the tension.

First Drake’s and now Kane & Lynch - Chris Burke has been getting all the good jobs recently. Here he is with his thoughts on K&L.

Eidos’s anticipated third-person shooter is on its way, and ThreeSpeech is lucky enough to have been playing it on PS3 to the exclusion of things like family, social life and work. You play primarily as Kane, a hard-case ex-Merc and trained killer who’s managed to upset his former bosses, an enigmatic bunch called ‘The Seven’, by stealing some loot from them. Now they’ve sprung him from prison and they’re holding his wife and daughter hostage until he recovers it. To keep an eye on him, The Seven have assigned Lynch, a man on some serious medication to keep him from going totally psycho – which he does quite a lot, with murderous consequences.
