We are hearing whisperings that Firmware Version 2.0 will be released in the next couple of weeks and one rather nice feature will be the functionality that will allow you to turn on your PlayStation 3 using a PSP via remote play. Hold tight for further news…

If this firmware doesn’t have in-game messaging, then I despair, i really do. Sony aren’t doing themselves any favours, and the lack of in-game messaging is a glaring error on their part.

IN GAME FRIENDS LIST is 100x more important thann remote power off/on!!!!!
Comment by Deano — Nov 2, 2007 @ 1:05 pm
Sad ***** like me with no friends don’t give a crap as I don’t get any messages.
Comment by Mr X — Nov 2, 2007 @ 1:05 pm
Surely you have more news than this about 2.0, we already knew this yesterday and you stated that you would bring more news today.
Comment by shandogg — Nov 2, 2007 @ 1:07 pm
@Three Speech - I thought there was going to be a press release about this from your comments last week?
Comment by CircleOfFire — Nov 2, 2007 @ 1:12 pm
Is that it? Info about remote play has been around for a week now.
Comment by DrXym — Nov 2, 2007 @ 1:15 pm
I hope there’s more to the information you were promising yesterday than this..
ANYONE could have told us this. We’ve known about remote powering on-and-off of the PS3 using PSP since TGS.
Comment by Ungot — Nov 2, 2007 @ 1:16 pm
oh, and it makes me nervous that the only feature you have teased us with is the power to turn on the ps3 from my psp. Pretty useless unless I want to convinve my girlfriend that the house is huanted.
Comment by russ — Nov 2, 2007 @ 1:16 pm
ye you told us yesterday you would have more info today. this is just a rehash of what you said in one of the posts yesterday, and we know remote on/off is coming from the psp 3.72 firmware details that have already been released.
Comment by Deano — Nov 2, 2007 @ 1:16 pm
I think most of us knew about the remote play feature. Give us details on some new features please!
Comment by Kas — Nov 2, 2007 @ 1:17 pm
So these whispers are what every other news site has heard? Or is there a more concrete and real source you have gathered the news from?
Comment by amras_telemnar — Nov 2, 2007 @ 1:18 pm
I hope that the FW2.0 supports the access for XMB during gameplay. this is the most important feature for me.

that is not a feature we desperatly neeed… i hope it is a joke!
in game messaging! please oh please!
its the worst thing ever having to quit your game just to read your freinds messages. WE LIKE TO TALK. make it happen!
Comment by Ricky — Nov 2, 2007 @ 1:35 pm
Hi, Guy’s don’t get your hopes up about in-game XMB access it’s not going to happen, well at least in the near future. Still if i was Sony I’d not have released another firmware until XMB access was sorted.. Because at the moment that’s really all needs, and it needs to be apart of PS3 before 2008.
Instead we will get PS3 custom themes, and other crap that about 1% of the PS3 users will use in it’s lifespan! But I’ll remain openminded, and hopfully something will come of 2.0 and it might actually have ingame XMB and then ingame private voice chat… I play warhawk with my brother, I just want to talk to him, not anyone else, and I dont want them to hear me talking… Live had this from day one, Sony hurry up…

Is this the big announcement, the news of which spread like wildfire across gaming sites last night? ROFL. I’m guessing you know more than this but someone at Sony has told you not to say any more than is already well known.

it’s a shame - this site could be a real good resource that hypes me to check it every hour cause it might have some late breaking news.
seeing as it is “semi official” you’d think this’d be the case.
however, it seems that “completely unofficial” random sites around the net get more info and faster than this place.
it’s pretty funny if you think about it.

I wish sony would concentrate on getting the ##CORE## PS3 features in place first instead of trying to get everyone to buy a PSP aswell, i have one its a noce feature but i current hate having to quit a game to read a mesage froma friend we need the XMB ingame ASAP
Comment by mike — Nov 2, 2007 @ 2:05 pm
I hope the new firmware includes full Blu-ray 2.0 spec compatibility. I think the deadline is about to be reached where every Blu-ray player being sold is required to support it.
I say bring on the new Blu-ray movies that take advantage of the new advanced specs and finally give HD-DVD the final kick to the balls.
Comment by Kamiboy — Nov 2, 2007 @ 2:05 pm
@ 14 - I agree. Thats another good update and it feels like things are on the up. Seems like a lot of good stuff is coming to me.
Comment by razr — Nov 2, 2007 @ 2:08 pm
I guess if it’s 2.0 it should be a fairly major update then? I can cope without home, although music in game and friends list in game would be great.
Additionally things like better options for sorting music/photos would be good too.
Obviously there will also be the update to allow rumble!
Wasn’t there talk of them compacting the firmware so more system resources could be used on games, which in turn would allow friends lists whilst in game? That’d be a good move.
I’m very positive about this update, as the firmware is one area where Sony have done well. They’ve added truely useful features and turned the PS3 into a media centre. Hmm DivX would be mightily useful actually !
Looking forward to hearing more about this Three Speech, so keep us up to date on it if you could !
Thanks!

V2.0 isn’t gonna be the amazing update that was touted in the summer.
Most of the major functions have already been trickled out. Can’t say that I’m that exited at the prospect of switching on My PS3 with My PSP…
Comment by Divine — Nov 2, 2007 @ 2:49 pm
In game access to XMB to chat with friends pls.
also, feature to allow us to rearrange photos/music/games/videos as we pleased is a must. its hard enough as it is to scroll through a long list of videos to find one and having to scroll through tons of demos for Super Stardust in not intuitive at all.
Comment by Jason — Nov 2, 2007 @ 2:51 pm
Hmm, try telling us something we don’t already know.

What about enabling scaling 720p games to 1080 on older displays that don’t have 720p inputs? I hate playing at 480p!
Comment by LarryG60 — Nov 2, 2007 @ 2:56 pm
All other features beside ingame messaging and invites are not wanted really, in my opinion of course. They’re bonuses, but all we really want is ingame messaging and game invites. Priority 1 I’d say.
I have friends on my list, but I never make use of it, because it’s such a hassle to get several people into one game.
I’m getting tired of waiting for this.
And if Sony will force use to use Home just to get into a game with a group, but still won’t allow ingame messaging and game invites…I’ll not be pleased to say the least.
But again, that’s my opinion.

If thats the highlight feature of this update…then this is so messed up
In game xmb/messaging is the most wanted feature by ps3 owners yet its not here yet…
Sony we know its possible…early developer ps3’s supported it….like Insomniac and Resistance…
Please let it come now!

Any chance that the uPnP will work properly? At the moment it’s only seeing about half the stuff on my Mac for no obvious reason - even stuff encoded for the PS3.
Comment by Adam J — Nov 2, 2007 @ 3:52 pm
It’s unlikely Sony would release FW 2 without at least one big feature.
PSP remote switch on would be nice to start downloads while I’m at work. My PS3 uses wireless so it will be interesting to see if this setup works.
But I wouldn’t consider this a vital feature.
Personally I’d quite like to see RSS feeds and individual game backup/restore.
Comment by Ian — Nov 2, 2007 @ 3:55 pm
Its been 1 year since the PlayStation 3 first launched.
-That should be enough time for the PS3 team to bring the firmware up to speed with all the features it should have had from the outset. Where is the in-game XMB?
Call of Duty 4 is launching next week on PS3 & 360. As a multi-console owner despite the fact that 360 online gaming regularly lags and pauses im considering the 360 version. Because i can message my friends in-game, invite them to play, and have the extra value of Achievements.
SONY HAS GONE SILENT about online features. Yes there is HOME, but that’s delayed until next year. What about a 2D version of the PS Trophies? What about somebody from Sony to tell us what the plan is? What about Phil Harrison giving us an interview and outline of whats in store?
Hello? HELLO?
Comment by Andronix — Nov 2, 2007 @ 4:04 pm
I’d like to see a feature whereby people who moan constantly about getting something for nothing are terminated by their own console.

Playing music in games and checking messages in game is exactly what In-Game XMB is. Apparently you care about it more than you realise.
Comment by wolverine81 — Nov 2, 2007 @ 5:26 pm
I thought they was saving FW2.0 for when they bring out home.
Yh in game messaging to you online friends, not just text but speach, is a must.
I think this remote stuff with the psp is pretty interesting but unless they up the anti on free wifi connection within all our towns and cities its pretty useless in Europe, This is definatly aimed more at JP and SK.
To be honest I cant realy think of anything else I would like in this FW update, obviously apart from home, so come on Sony a few nice surprises would be a massive bonus.
Comment by BENNE77 — Nov 2, 2007 @ 6:03 pm
does anyone remember the ps blog with one of the updates over the summer. they said that they had taken into consideration 3 major things everyone wanted in firmware. they didnt say what the top 3 things were at the time, but one was background image on on the xmb. so im guessing the other 2 are in game soundtrack and in game xmb (thats just A GUESS by me). i remember the said they were working on the other 2 and one was to be released in the next big update. pretty sure i read that on the ps blog…im gonna go look now.
Comment by byrd — Nov 2, 2007 @ 6:24 pm
Slightly veering in topic but ….
I read originally (some time ago) that the launch Firmware v2.0 was supposed to coincide with that of “Home”.
We have since heard that Home has been delayed until Q1 2008.
Do you have any more updates on Home and the progress being made please?
Also will the Beta trial ever be opened up …

Comment by Xenokai — Nov 2, 2007 @ 6:59 pm
It’s been said a million times, but it hasn’t made a difference yet. This is 2.0! It should be a huge update and without IN-GAME MESSAGING (including voice message) and IN-GAME CUSTOM SOUNDTRACKS the PSN will continue to be a sad shadow of Xbox Live. For your own sake, Sony, DO IT NOW!
Comment by greendublin — Nov 2, 2007 @ 7:24 pm
Hey guys, have you not thought that developing an ingame XMB would be pretty tough? That it would take a lot of work?
Tbh I’d like to see you lot produce an in-game XMB as good a standard as Sony’s will eventually be. And I’d like to see you produce it as fast as you seem to demand it. The CELL processor is a tough biatch to develop for at the moment because it’s new, whereas the Xenon has been around for a while.
Quit whining. It makes you look stupid. Shut up.
Comment by Youlikeyams — Nov 2, 2007 @ 7:33 pm
i refuse to get excited about firmware updates anymore, i expect this one will contain ‘themes’. in game screen resolution changes on the ps button, the time and date!?, better upscaling, and a few more file supports.
then a patch a week later to fix all the problems.
i’ve been let down too many times to care anymore.
Comment by mobiletone — Nov 2, 2007 @ 7:38 pm
Yea, why should I care? Didn’t you promise all the details today? And now you’re saying “sit tight”? Sounds to me like this is another delay. THIS UPDATE BETTER HAVE IN-GAME XMB. I will put a whole in my wall if it doesn’t. Im sick and tired of waiting and sticking up for Sony’s console. Get your damn act together and bring out some good functionality for the console. You know what? Dont innovate and bring out good stuff JUST BRING OUT THE STUFF YOU PROMISED SINCE MARCH 2006 LIKE IN-GAME XROSS MEDIA BAR.

Sony is being really quiet on this update. We have all seen in game messaging, music, etc at demos. Why is it so hard to believe that they are putting it all together and getting ready to blow your effin’ minds! I say get ready to have the greatest year of gaming ever!
My 2 cents…
Comment by Joostin — Nov 2, 2007 @ 8:31 pm
I’m starting to think that Sony are kind of like Michael Jackson - the more successful they become, the more the screw with the kids.
Comment by Russ — Nov 2, 2007 @ 8:53 pm
I’m sorry, just not impressed by that announcement. Had you included the ability to eject a disk as part of the menu you get when you hit the PS button, i’d have more optimism, but as i don’t play any online games currently, the news is lukewarm at best.
BTW, back at TGS this year, Sony announced that the ps store content would be accessible via the pc’s, stating the day of the announcement. Was that for Japan only, or what? why can’t other regions have this ability?
Comment by Grendel — Nov 2, 2007 @ 9:56 pm
HAHAHAH! Lol at Russ’s comment.
Comment by NICK — Nov 2, 2007 @ 10:14 pm
Haha, good one.
I agree with a previous post, think Sony had a word with ThreeSpeech writers regarding the info that would arrive today.
I still doubt we’ll have full In-Game XMB in v2.0, maybe messaging and music playback if we’re really lucky!
Comment by Harry — Nov 2, 2007 @ 10:18 pm
I don’t care about in game messaging or custom soundtracks. I never use them on 360.
-More Codecs
-Convert any movie (including DVD/BRD) to PSP format. PSX did this (though not to DVDs) PS3 should. And let us watch DVD/Bluray over remote play, its not like we can pirate that way anyway. Besides, if we wanted to we could pirate in linux
-Time/Date in the top right hand corner like PSP
-Custom themes like PSP
-Serve as a wifi hotspot while in the XMB
-The remote should work when you’re not in the music player. If I start playing a song, then go to the photo viewer, buttons like pause no longer control the music.
-Rip PS1 CDs to PSP. We own them. We can do it in Linux. Let us do it by your hand
-Bluray 1.1 spec
Comment by Extinction — Nov 3, 2007 @ 1:29 am
Custom soundtracks is very important. Eye of Judgement desperately needs this feature, because the developers were clearly deaf.
Comment by espiox — Nov 3, 2007 @ 2:10 am
wut i would actually want:
-the in game xmb (custom music, and messagin)
-being able to make albums with photos (instead of sortin by months, year etc.)
-custom themes, different colurs like psp, not changin shade durin day or whatever, thats so gay
-whatever colur u piked for ur theme continues out (if i piked red then when i press the ps button durin the game i wanna see red bakground not blank still)
-different themes, the laser fusion thingy is good but other stuff would be really nice
-when u sort by artist in music then the sub menu is albums of that artist (not all the songs by the artist)
and i think thats it, if i had all of these then the ps3 would be perfect (in regards of os)
Comment by stew — Nov 3, 2007 @ 2:52 am

no cuttin corners or else theres no point.

I honestly believe that we as the consumer and loyal customers deserve a bit more respect by not being undermined in this way. We all made a decent amount purchase to both support the Sony corporation as well as enjoy for ourselves there product. It should not only be after e-mails, phone calls, or written letters that we are provided with answers to questions we ask regarding our investments. To start off, this dream machine has been the only console promised to bring joy in a sense of entertainment, to all peer groups, since its launch not only did devoted fanatics sacrifice there lives by placing them on hold and waiting in a line to be a first to own one, but there were those who lost there’s in process as we all are aware of the press coverage on the havoc caused the shortage, or perhaps planned limitations of the product for marketing reasons. Who knows- Well all chaos put aside, this dream machine next generation platform, ” Computer Entertainment” as Sony calls it was unveiled in E3, and said to perform more than what is in the homes of all the disappointed consumers, As a loyal playstation brought up teen. I had always been pleased with Sony, until recent delays in performance in many key features this new system was said to perform with ease. The very upsetting thing to me is the name given by Sony, Computer Entertainment, yet it falls short of all the basic capabilities that a computer can accomplish, for instance the video formats supported are very few. No WMV, AVI, Or DIVX files are supported just to name a few. There are major flaws in the systems wireless network support that need to be addressed. The system tends to freeze up on hours of use, unless an extra cost on a third party cooling is purchased separately. The system has no overheating warning, Sony should place one on it to cover there asses. He..He…He…..
My final intake on all this is, just like me we all bought the console, advise to those who are not pleased, voice yourselves on this matter whenever possible, another suggestion is take a small loss or perhaps make a profit and sell the console on e-bay. Sony, is the one who has everyone discontent with there purchase and hoping in a update release it makes the investment made by all those who bought one worth it, If not no one would be looking forward to a update and post there thoughts & concerns. If everyone thinks there purchase was really worth it, all that would be posted would be positive. The only thing that would be expected from satisfied owners of a PS3 is media not capabilities, originally promised to be performed in unveiling…
This really grinds my gears….

it’s not moaning, it’s constructive criticism
and i guess like me people are fed-up with the Sony mind games, either give us the facts or don’t bother saying anything. Sony knows damn well what is going into the FW2.0 and they won’t be changing anything this close to roll-out so why not just let us know what it’s gonna contain instead of all the secrecy.
all i want from 2.0 is the ability to organise my files and create folders!
personally i’d be surprised to see Home and LBP before this time next year.

I would like the ability to sort out my 8000+ photos - i want to make my own folders not just based on the limited criteria the PS3 currently offers. Thats would be cool thanks

Don’t get your hopes up, Sony have established a reputation for disappointment, especially with Firmware releases.

PLEASE, in-game XBM. The PS3 is a superior piece of hardware but its embarrassing when you can’t read a message in a game or put some music on off your hard drive.
Comment by Mr sok — Nov 3, 2007 @ 7:55 pm
Okay everyone…stop…breathe…and think. If you watch the video demonstrating the playstation eye it cleary shows the ps3’s potential. It shows a clip of a dude playing warhawk and receiving a request to chat…he brings up the chat and has 6 peeps in vid chat…i’m assuming while the game is running because it says “stay connected with the pseye” stay connected while playing your favourite game. http://youtube.com/watch?v=d3cTkvaxz5Q check that video out. We will have in game video chat, obviously in game xmb with music, barebones settings, and chat. Let’s just wait the two weeks then bitch and moan.

Okay, look Three Speech, the other day you promised a press release (see image above) which would obviously include details.
Why would you post something we’ve already known since the PSP release of 3.72 and that is not even a major feature update?
Why not post about in-game XMB? Cross-game invites? In-Game Messaging, PSN Features, and Soudntrack? PSN Category under the XMB? Why won’t you reveal or bring about the features the PS3 owners really need.
Respond!

Firmware 2.0 updates: (needed in order of importance)
Internet Browser Update – This is one aspect of the PS3 that needs a major overhaul. When this issue is addressed it will help to fully complete the idea of the PS3 becoming a fully functional, easy to use, family friendly, real-working, media center. The following are issues that need to be immediately addressed with the PS3 Internet browser.
• Flash Update (this has not been addressed since the PS3 launch, and is one of the biggest issues with the browser. The current PS3 browser cannot even play video from the official Playstation Website. It will also not allow you to post on the Playstation message boards.
• Memory Errors – This is causing sites to not be able to load at all.
• Video Saves – One of the great things about the Internet is being able to save audio/video to the HD. Currently, this is a mostly miss than a hit. Too many times it seems to keep asking for external HD space rather than use the more than available PS3 HD space.
• Favorites Manager
In-Game XBM – This is a must for a myriad of reasons. One of which is that you can send/receive messages during game play. Another reason is so you can adjust settings without having to stop your game. (i.e. Bluetooth headset volume/settings, check current download status)
Folder Management – If the PS3 is going to house all those EyeCreate videos, Internet video, music, and photos, then it is going to have to give the option of creating/managing folders. If this does not happen the user will have to scroll forever to find the file they need.
Codecs – To be a true media center the PS3 will need to have all the codecs for video play.
PS3/PSP Interaction – These two have yet to really come together in the right way. Below are some points in which they should mesh. If the following could happen a PS3/PSP owner could wow their friends from whenever and from wherever they wanted. It would be like having millions of walking real-time advertisements for the PS3. This feature would cause many to want and go buy the two just so they can have such a cool feature. The PS3/PSP interaction is really the one step Sony could use to overtake the foothold the DS currently has on the handheld market. It would also cause Xbox owners to only wish they had a handheld for their system.
• PSP to PS3 power on/off
• Watch DVD/BluRay on the PSP via WiFi remote
• Play PS3 and PSN downloaded games on the PSP via WiFi remote
• Utilize PSP as a viable component to PS3 games (i.e. maps, weapons, vehicles, rearview mirror, etc.) Sell prop stand for a table so you could use the PSP on the table between the player and TV as a rearview during racing games. Another approach would be to give the player the option to use the PSP to drive the PS3 racing vehicle and then be able to glance down, much like a driver would glance up, and look in the display on the PSP that would be constantly displaying a rear view.
Media Player – The media players for music needs to have an updated feel and look. The current music player looks very generic and like one in which you could download free of charge off the Web. Below are specs the updated media player should contain.
• Song/Artist info displayed
• Updated Look
• Updated/Downloadable visuals
• PlaystationEye Interaction – On screen visuals during songs could respond to the player dancing in front instead of the beat. Now that would be getting into your music. One version could let the user motion activate music keys on screen.
FUTURE 2008
In the following year Sony will need some really big features that would leave gamers, media center enthusiasts, movie buffs, and homes everywhere no choice but to buy a Playstation 3. Below I have listed some features that are must haves for Sony. Must haves in the fact that if they do the following I don’t know how anyone couldn’t want one. These are ideas I have read on the Web and others I have thought of myself.
• DVR Functionality
• Downloadable Movies - For purchase and rent / Movies would have to be viewable on the PS3, as well as, transferable to the PSP. There has been speculation that Sony and Netflix are in talks to use the PS3 as their medium to bring downloadable/rentable on-demand movie rentals straight to the viewer/customers TV. The PS3 is definitely the way to do it. Although, I do believe it would require Sony to spend more time dedicated to making the browser work more efficiently and effectively.
• Home – Get this social network up and running. Integrate the PlaystationEye into the environment in a way that allows users to speak to one another through a microphone but to also be able to go back to their “living spaces†in home and see who it is they are speaking with through viewable on wall video. If owners of Playstation 3’s are able to call up family and friends and be able to see them, then this would mark the future of communication. This is the future all the movies keep trying to show through phone systems. The truth could be this future is actually viable now, through the PS3 and the PlaystationEye functionality. Imagine, not having to pay long distance to speak with someone on the other side of the state, the country, or even … the world. The only charge would be the ISP fee. No worry or hassle about how much money is being spent on minutes. The PS3 is in a position to really revolutionize the way people communicate. Forget Webcams. Use the Playstation 3 so the whole family can join in. No more huddling around some computer in the back room.

In Game xmb with music+web browsing in game please. Nothing else matters. These 2 things are insanely important.
Its sad even the wii has a ingame menu…. I dont wanna hear about this lack of ram stuff. Sony should have thought of implementing more ram from the start. You built it, we bought it and we deserve in game xmb PERIOD!
Comment by trouter — Nov 4, 2007 @ 8:29 am
The Remote Play function should not be just a show of moving the TV display to your PSP. It should have a real multi-tasking functionality of a WiFi connection (i.e. using the PS3 as WiFi source to browse the net via PSP and still be able to use the PS3 fully)
Comment by SprMarion — Nov 4, 2007 @ 2:29 pm
So you’re telling me the fate of the Playstation name lies on messaging? If the fate lies in anything, it’s in the games (which we have/are getting). Russ you are %100 wrong.
Comment by Marc — Nov 4, 2007 @ 5:51 pm
It needs to have a 360 Style Guide overlay in games. For custom soundtracks and the rest. I would love to put my entire music collections on my PS3s 80GB HDD but its pointless without having universal playback of it.
Comment by Lupin — Nov 4, 2007 @ 8:33 pm
I just wish they include Divx support, I’d love to watch stage 6 divx stuff on my HD tv.

@63
yeah your right, some consistent looks….. i dont like to compare teh Box the PS3, are different machines, but the box has some sweetspots , like cross-game invites and crossgame-msgs (like 61 wrote).why cant i send my friend a msg to ask him if he wants to play resistance.
why cant i invite my pal to a set of resistance, while he is playing motorstorm.
i think thats not rocket sience. they just have to implement some routines in to their SDKs.

OMG… PSP remote play, it is what i’ve ALWAYS wanted…
give me a break, they are “FORCING” us to buy a psp to take advantage of the PS3, what we NEED is ingame XMB and ingame Invites/messaging.
Who are these people trying to impress by adding functionality used only be 5-10% of PS3 users!
…..

Why would you believe some guy called Semi_unofficial Account. If it had a red box around it it might consider….but please! It won’t be out on the 11th.
Comment by Whitey75 — Nov 6, 2007 @ 3:21 am
@ 99
And why not? Any proof it won’t be released on the 11th?
Despite all, ps3 on 11th November PS3 will celebrate one year since dayone in jap, so far everything points to that date, together with the release of ps340GB and DS3 in jap.
Comment by robb — Nov 6, 2007 @ 2:46 pm
@99 That’s what I was implying with my comments about the date ! Misinformation!

Agreed on update for Internet Browser required urgently. A decent browser on the PS3 would be one of the most useful things to enable me to never have to touch my PC apart from office stuff.
At the moment, the browser is
a) too clunky to control even with a keyboard and mouse
b) always running out of memory
c) needs all the standard plugins that Firefox/IE have
d) needs to stop prompting for cookies when you’ve said a site can run them.
Please give us a good browser Sony, partner up with Firefox!.

IT’S A GOOD NEW, BUT SONY YOU MUST UNDERSTAND NOW THAT THE VIDEOGAMES WORLD NOW IS DOMINATED BY 360 AND WII. TRY TO DEVELOP MORE GAMES TO SATISFY ALL YOUR FANS. PS3 IS THE MOST POWERFUL GAMING MACHINE BUT IT’S GOING TO LOSE GAMERS BECAUSE OF THE LACK OF TITLES. I HOPE THE FUTURE WILL BE BETTER. THE VIDEO GAMING MARKET IS NO LONGER OWNED BY YOU.
Comment by ameppe — Nov 7, 2007 @ 1:12 pm
Make the PS3 a Bluetooth A2DP enabled device so i can use my A2DP enabled SONY headset to listen to the sound effects and voice chat at the same time in high quality audio. This would be brilliant for late night sessions where i currently have to turn down my 5.1 system for fear of waking the neighbours.
Do it please Sony, it’s not that much to ask is it !!
Comment by Neil — Nov 7, 2007 @ 2:15 pm
downloading 2.0 now, 43% till the end of speculation
Comment by naes21 — Nov 8, 2007 @ 4:07 am
your all wrong, apart from the dude who is well informed in saying sony have created the xmb and chat in game, its up to the game developer(r:fom)come on this is the most advanced console in the world.
Comment by naes21 — Nov 8, 2007 @ 4:17 am
i was really looking to the firmware update 2.00 because of the in game XMB i feel like sony have let not just me down but all of it fans
if it keeps putting things back (I.e Playstation Home) then no one will buy the brilliant system
its crap when you have to come off your game just to stay in touch with friends why didnt sony just make the system with in game XMB in the first place
