    As if we’re unable to retain the idea that Thursday is update day if, on rare occasions such as this, a particular item is released otherwise.

24. I admit when i saw the Tuesday date i was sceptical that it would release on that date, everyone knows that Thursday is the update day so this makes sense.

38. WOW Europe left out again, I mean its not like this ever happens EVER.

    And Since when did the US have updates on Tuesday, they get updates in a Thursday the same day as we do so please don’t give us this Games are released then rubbish.

    Remember for some reason Europe is waiting 3 week for the game in retail, putting the game on-line shouldn’t really have any problems since they are not stuck to typical released dates.

    Really did Sony say that Europe was an important region, really if you keep doing this then you will find that the large support you have here will sone disappear, only so many times to can treat this region like this before we move on and look elsewhere.

49. The “Thursday is the usual day for our PS Store” escuse is not the truth, strangly there has been two updates of the french PS Store today 2 videos about the game convention at leipzig.
    My opinion is that warhawk is a very expected game and that the download server can not handle massive american and european download at the same time, so sony choose to do the american another favor buy lauching warhawk first in the region.
    Thanks again sony for been so nice with european customers maybe this one could have been the one to make us feel almost as important as an american customer but no you choose to left us behind another time

54. Why are these delays necessary? As everyone on countless forums has stated updated store material makes more sense to be released simultaneously. For starters it offers fairer gameplay, as everyone has an equal chance to play a game online from the same release date. The EU store seems to be the only place with this Thursday update malarky. This Tuesday the US store got Warhawk and now the JAP store got a new Lair trailer. Its not as if the EU store gets anything special on a Thursday anyways. Isn’t it more enjoyable to go online and find something unexpected on the store? The Folklore exclusive (that appeared also in the US), a pitiful selection of demos already in the shops and a handful of a few trailers are hardly inspiring for me to keep the machine online. Where are all the original download games? Piyotama and Cash Gun Chaos etc. and a slew of PS1 titles have been out in the US and JAP for a while why haven’t we seen them here? Can’t Sony sort out all this ratings, TV display format crap and release everything worldwide like they originally intended? This limited release crap makes me think that someone who used to work for Nintendo has taken over. “(i.e :Limit the releases and force people into buying the limited amount of stuff on offer).

60. and then we have the problem Warhawk can only be played under the account it got purchased on the PSN
    meaning :
    if you got multiple accounts (wife/kids) they cannot play the game in contrarity to all the other games…………..

61. USA= massive market, UK = Diddy Market in comparison. Do the math - if I were Sony I would release in US 1st, as the repercussions of not letting that impatient nation have it 1st would greatly outweigh a handful of posts from English unhappy peeps.

62. btw - looking at the 360 and ps3 head on - ps3 is a beautifully well made piece of electronica that is whisper quiet, powerful and doesn’t overheat. The 360 is a rushed, glitchy, overheating nasty thing. I own both and love many games on both, but am disappointed with the terrible design of my 360. It just locked up again! Only way it won’t freeze when playing Bioshock is to point a freaking desk fan at it.

I just want to point out to many of the yanks commenting (im looking at you obzy) theat an eu release is more than just in england…….. there are HUNDEREDS OF THOUSANDS of ps3 users in the entire continent and are severly pissed off at sonys lack of comital to bringing the best service to us……. hell, IRELAND has the largest per capita ps2 install base in the world and how does sony repay them? buy fucking up constantly!!!! sony!! i am ashamed of u!!!!!!!! the least u cud do is give us it at midnight like in america instead of waiting all day for it!!!!!!! get ur act together!!!!!!!

65. This is such a slap in the face. True, the EU is always suffering these kind of disappointments, but at least in those other cases (usually) there is at least a half believable excuse - localisation, ratings boards, tax etc. In this case there is no such thing - it is clearly nothing more than an attempt to massage the American public, at the expense of an utterly taken for granted EU fanbase.

    Notice the comparisons, even putting the EU lateness aside. In the US, Warhawk was released at midnight (and was announced to be so). Here there is no such announcement (the most anyone knows is a vague response to a question on this blog), and Warhawk is not released at midnight (who knows when it will be - no announcement). In the US an attractive countdown website existed, displaying exactly how much longer they had to wait for the game. Here there is no such thing.

    There’s such a sense of ‘oh, you want it too then do you? Well alright I suppose, have it a few days later at some point when we get a spare moment. But keep supporting our business and giving us money, there’s a good continent’.

    I’m usually a calm and collected, non-temperamental kinda guy but in this case, well… f*ck you, Sony.
