It is a shame the retail version of Warhawk is almost a month behind, however, I’m sure the makers of Warhawk said they will try and release both as close togeather as they can.

Anyone that buys the download version of warhawk is mad.
1. You can’t trade it when you’re bored
2. You can’t take it back if it sucks
3. Is anyone aware of what happens to your dowloaded games if anything should happen to your ps3
4. If downloads take over the world, what will happen to collecting old/retro games?
5. When ps4 comes out one day, you may be expected to buy it again.

How come there is such a disconnect between US & Europe?
It’s a first party title so I don’t understand it.

“Is anyone aware of what happens to your dowloaded games if anything should happen to your ps3″
Log in with your PSN username again to the store - it remembers what you’ve paid for and will allow you to download it again

Anyone that buys the boxed version of warhawk is mad.
1. You have to get up and put the disc in the drive when you want to play it.
2. What? You’re still here? Come on!

20 quid eh?…..that may actually tempt me….to bug my mother if i can use her credit card
still,i would of liked to get the free headset, and 3 weeks thats a bit of a wait, when everybody else will be having a great time with it
hmm…..im thinking……cant decide!!
Comment by metallicorphan — Aug 17, 2007 @ 1:03 pm
From what I’ve seen of it (non-beta tester) I agree that £19.99 for the PSN version’s a very reasonable price. As I already have that headset, bought separately, there’s very little reason to hold out for the retail edition.

Does in-game XMB have a date yet? Threespeech, please ask Sony!
Comment by Chris — Aug 17, 2007 @ 1:52 pm
No i think its October. Warhawk shouldn’t take that long.
Comment by Wisdom Wanderer — Aug 17, 2007 @ 1:54 pm
Any idea of the download file size for Warhawk? That might be the deciding factor for some of us…
Comment by Kevling — Aug 17, 2007 @ 2:36 pm
it’s a 850Mb download apparently….
Let’s see if Sony can deliver on time to us Europeans for once
Comment by James — Aug 17, 2007 @ 2:50 pm
That’s nice for the UK but what are we paying(you know the few of us that live in the rest of Europe)
Comment by Bound — Aug 17, 2007 @ 2:59 pm
The 28th is a Tuesday (US release day) so are we more likely to see this on the 30th/31st?
Comment by MrGilder — Aug 17, 2007 @ 3:05 pm
Is there going to be a trial version of Warhawk available for download?
I am interested in the game but I’m not sure if I will really enjoy it, so I would definitely like to try it out first.
Also, is there any news on the Ratchet & Clank Future European release date, it was just announced yesterday as being released on the 23rd of October in America, how long will we have to wait for it (if we have to wait at all)?
Comment by Mace — Aug 17, 2007 @ 3:54 pm
When we gona get Tekken Dark Resurection Online? They already got it in Japan so why havent we got a date on that yet?
Comment by Akhtar — Aug 17, 2007 @ 3:56 pm

[...] Courtesy of SCEE mouthpiece Three Speech comes news of a buncha release dates for upcoming PS3 games in Europe. Warhawk SHOULD (though this isn’t confirmed) be up on the PS Store on August 28. Heavenly Sword is due on September 14. Folklore again, they can’t confirm, but should be October 12, while Lair, again unconfirmed (got to maintain appearances that they’re not being fed the information directly, you see) “should” be October 26. Finally, they “reckon” SingStar should be out in October. RELEASE DATES [Three Speech] [...]

I’d like to do both, download so I can just run it from my HDD, and also have the package, so I can keep it forever along with all my other golden oldies. I have Speccy, Amstrad, Amiga, and Playstation 1 & 2 games that just occationally, I like to play again. If we only had downloadable content back then, well, I can’t see still having them today. Sooo, what do I do? I guess I’m gonna have to wait for the retail version. I get a headset for my troubles though.
Hey, slightly off topic, but does anyone else just use the eyetoy as a microphone, and your normal speakers for output? It just seems so much easier, and I haven’t got to plug anything over my ears. I’m hoping the new Eyetoy hurries up, cos it should have better audio discrimination. Anyway, I like it.
Just thought, wouldn’t it have been nice to get money off the retail version if you’ve already downloaded the PSN version? Some sort of redemption code. Nah, too much hassle for distribution. Ignore that silly comment.

Release dates for some of PS3’s most hotly anticipated titles have been announced on the Sony-owned Three Speech blog…”
So, you’re sort of official & sort of owned by Sony.

I don’t know if the release date for Lair is different for Europe then the U.S, but I just put my order in on amazon.com just yesterday to be shipped on Sep. 4. I first saw the preview for this game in January (which was my birthday) on the Underground with a release date of February and told my brother to wait to buy me it for my birthday present. Mid February it disappeared on the face of the earth, leaving me as unsatisfied as a fat kid with only granola bars to eat. It reappeared with a tentative release date in July and more videos. O’ happy days!!! Not so much. I was let down again to wait for another specific date of Aug. 14.
Without looking at the Underground, I went to the store to pick it up first thing in the morning. Nothing… Nada… Zip. Luckily NCAA 2008 was out to distill my distain and able to calm me down (it didn’t hurt having my Bronco’s on the cover). Hopefully, not the next hope shattering illusion is Sep. 4 as it came across it on amazon.com to pre-order (which I did). There has never been so much insight into the inter workings of the games sense February on the Underground. I haven’t looked for anything else coming out sense the PS3 in Nov. of last year. Please guys, give me some good news (finalized news).
