4. That really sucks… Sony said the box was checked on more demos… well where the hell are they?
   R&CF demo is already finished, Lair demo as well supposed to be coming. Not to mention the HS demo was short and tbh I thought boring.
   I got my PS3 two weeks ago tomorrow… and I liked downloading all the stuff off PSN but now theres nothing.

15. It seems that we are back to lack of conrent for the store, after 2 great weeks this crap again.
    I guess its because every single game keeps getting pushed back, and pushed back, by the time SONY actually release some AAA games for the PS3 it will be almost time for the PS4.

    The PS3 is gr8 but the store not olny looks terrible, is not well organized but is also not worth buying a PS3 for as the content is so abismal that i really dont even bother to check it if there are no demo’s to download, as for the PSone games, im glad that they don’t work, its just a waste of space and time.

19. Come on now it’s not really that bad! I think it’s unreasonable to expect all these demos as they have to devote time away from developing the actual game to make them, meaning they can easily miss the release date. Sony can’t force people (very easily) to make demos for PS3.

    As to why the 360 gets them, it’s probably because they’re much easier to make for the 360, and Microsoft have all the standards in place to get stuff online quickly. Plus, the Xbox Live userbase is much more content-orientated (and larger) than on PS3, I’m sure the download figures for demos reflect that. I would much prefer it if they updated the store when there was new content on PSN, rather than every Thursday, as it just leads to these sorts of negative comments if people are expecting something they don’t get.

Before they can put them up they will have to negotiate back and forth with the holders of the rights on a contract on who gets what percentages etc. etc. Not to mention that the people who own the rights might not be interested in releasing the game due to many reasons, maybe they would rather milk it through a remake or what have you.

    I am annoyed about the lack of content within the PS Store (why would I want to waste my download limit on Ghost Rider - one of the worst films ever made!!!!! closely followed by Transformers for that matter)

    Sony all I can say is Heavenly Sword and Stranglehold better be good!! whilst Res 5 and GTA better be worth the wait! otherwise you will have alot of unhappy PS3′ers moving over to Microsoft!

    yeah, but these companies made a deal way back to release on ps1.

    and technically though they are digitalized, they are still for all intents and purposes ps1 games.

    there should be possible to find some kind of hole in contract maybe?

    Another lame week of nothingness. Whats the point in owning the Paystation if nothing is EVER released for it. My PS3 is just gathering dust, and every week I’m given another reason not to bother switching it on.

    Videos do not constitute a good update, especially when they are for games that most of us have already been playing the demos for!
    I sometimes think Sony are deliberately trying to annoy their customers.
    I have tried to be patient but this console and service was not worth the money, one more update of this shoddy quality and I will be getting rid of my PS3 and advising all my friends against buying one.

47. I don’t see the big deal, since some weeks you won’t have a demo at this point. The console hasn’t even been out a year yet. Some publishers are waiting for 2008 before releasing their first title. I don’t mind since this fall has a ton of nice first party games. In fact mostly new IP too, which is often something people claim to want. Gamers are such whiners. Heavenly Sword will tide you over until Uncharted is released.

48. Its good that people are registering their concerns over the PSN.
    Its not just Europe but all the global stores that are much too sparse and people cannot understand why.
    I have both HD consoles and I know that the PS3 is best. It is a beautiful piece of engineering I love everything about it from its stylish XMB with all its customization, its web browsing, free online play, wallpapers, built in wireless, BD drive,mp3 player, photo management Just the feel of the thing- the list goes on. It is reliable, sturdy, quiet and is a sublime piece of technology.
    This device just needs content. The games are coming, I love resistance and motorstorm and after sampling both demos of the darkness on both machines it is the PS3 version I like best - the colours are just so much better I also like playing on a PS3 it just “feels better” to play on such a beautiful piece of technology with gorgeous presentation as opposed to the old fashioned clunky looking and unreliable,noisy badly engineered rushed out 360.
    We are relying on Sony to give us goods for download on PSN. I resent buying anything from microsoft the company that charges for “themes” and charges 800 “points” for solitaire and tries to disguise the cost of things by calling money “points”! lol… but i am ready and waiting to fill my PS3 with stuff!!All the great ps1 games that sony should be offering in tandem with all the 3rd partys -everyone makes money from old rope! whats the problem -get communicating with konami namco etc and start offering us stuff to buy the PSN needs to be fixed and fast- this cant wait. The AAA disk based titles we know take time to produce and I am patient, but I cannot see or understand why the PSN is not bursting with content!- gaming content above all else (we can see movie trailers everywhere online). The PSN should be what supports PS3 in its early times- when AAA titles are in short supply- while the unreal engine issues are sorted out it is the PSN that should be keeping me happy! and making me too busy to write long winded rants on the internet!(sorry!) I want to buy things online on PSN and I am so often disappointed for example with this weeks euro releases that is just not right!.
    For example get vib ribbon up, parappa, all that vast library just wasting away locked down in legal blah blah whatever issues - sort them out! get making money get your customers the choice of content that is what made Sony great Get it to us !! for gods sake!!!! (oh but beta test them first like you forgot to do with spyro2 and medievil!) lolz ps you still owe me £6.98!!!! i cant believe the PSN actually owes me money if you dont laugh you would cry! 49. I have played the Heavenly Sword demo and along with Ninja Gaiden it is a load of button bashing nonsense.
    These games are totally unoriginal and absolutley nothing that the PS2 could not have done with ease.
    Wading through hundreds of enemies whilst pulling off combos which at best look slightly different from each other is lazy game production and incredibly boring.

    heres a little tip: make an additional account on your ps3, and select USA as region
    have your visa ready :p because visa and mastercard are international, it doesnt matter what country your card is from

    the game is so fucking sweet :DD

64. Its such a shame that the PSN hasn’t got anything of note available for it. Just as i port a comment on the digital download article - here we all are slagging off the PSN because it has nothing worth downloading on it!

    It is a massive anticlimax for those who have stepped in at launch to buy their PS3 hoping for a great experience. So far it’s been underwhelming on every front for me.

    I play my 360 far more than i do my PS3 and i play my Wii the most! I’m just hoping that somewhere down the line i’ll have a reason to switch the PS3 on again soon. I even own more HD-DVD’s than i do Blu-Ray titles!

    When you say that it’s not down to Sony, do you truly believe that is the case? Or are you just leaping to their defense as a good loyal puppy should?

    I buy many a Sony item, but i never forget one thing in particular. I AM THE CUSTOMER. I think a lot of you may have forgotten that.

67. Sony i use to stick up for you and defined the PS3 but after seeing the Japanese and Hong Kong, USA PS Store its come down to me saying what everyone else is you do not care about people in the UK.

    Japanese PS store has so meny PS1 games they have Tekken 2 FPS alot of Plat formers and RPG. they have alot of add ons to boot to like sonic blast factory. what do we have 3 PS1 games 3 addon packs for 3 games Motor storm Ridge Racer 7 and Genji.
    What the hell gives you the right to put games on the Playstation Network that don’t work for one Spyro 2 it wont load a level and i’m stoped looking at a black screen.
    I wont my Money back.
    You say that you want the gamers to have a good experiences on the PS3 all the other the world the only country i see that the gamers ant complaneing is Japan because they get games that don’t get relised in europe games that i for would like to play and read it in English not Japanese.

    We don’t want stupid trailers that we can see on the net or on TV of films coming out the Japanese site hardly has does they have the Game Movies which i think is Fantastic why the hell did you only bring out Boku no Natsu Yasumi 3 in Japan i was looking forward to that i was even going to buy a copy online when i find out that you can’t change the language to English and that it doesn’t have english sub titles in it get your act together.
