Word is the update will take place around 5pm UK time (GMT +1). The Metal Gear Solid 4 trailer that was shown at the press conference will also go up on the PSN today. Other new trailers already confirmed are as follows -
- Feel Ski (SCEJ)
- Folklore (SCEJ)
- High Velocity Bowling (SCEA)
- Killzone 2 (SCEE)
- Little Big Planet (SCEE)
- Pain (SCEA)
- Wipeout HD (SCEE)
- Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune (SCEA)
A new trailer for GT5 will be added next week, along with Ratchet & Clank Tools of Destruction.
A lot of great trailers to watch as soon as I get home! I was hoping that some playable demos would be available too… Guess I’ll have to wait and see.

Any chance that we will be seeing some demos soon (Lair and Heavenly Sword maybe?)
Comment by Adam — Jul 12, 2007 @ 3:10 pm
Can’t wait to get that WipEout HD vid, the few standard def clips I’ve seen already look superb.
Comment by Shin-Ra — Jul 12, 2007 @ 3:15 pm
yeah, videos are nice, but i can watch them on the internet. we want demos!
Comment by Alex — Jul 12, 2007 @ 3:20 pm
Hey, nice lineup, there! Doubly good because it’s prob. going to be all HD footage? I’m hugely excited about Folklore. PAIN and LBP, though from the standard-def stream I checked out yesterday, Wipeout looked fantastic, too.
Will Sony be explaining/revealing Afrika during E3? Do you threespeech, know any more about it?
Comment by GleeDemon — Jul 12, 2007 @ 3:22 pm
I’m not being Mr Negative but I can’t help but feel that this is nothing other than a shambles.
Just exactly how hard is it for SCEA to talk to SCEE and make sure that when their conference has gone out, both stores get the trailers at the same time?
Sharing with Europe and then uploading a few videos to a server for download really isn’t that hard.
By uploading them in Europe a day later than the U.S it does nothing but make Europe feel ‘left out’. Not to mention the need for people to set up American accounts on their consoles in order to download the latest content.
So the U.S gets content which should be globally released at the same time, a day earlier than Europe.
Mind you, the U.S do add theirs with horrid graphics underneath saying ‘TRAILER’ or ‘GAME’. Europe do at least have nice thumbnails.

Nibbles, there may be some bureaucratic issues that result in the Europe store getting things later.
Comment by Benny — Jul 12, 2007 @ 3:46 pm
Or possibly they really don’t think a day or two matters for trailers of games not out for several months.
Comment by frod — Jul 12, 2007 @ 3:55 pm
Where’s the big Euro price announcement ?
Is this it?
http://darkzero.co.uk/v4/games/news/12501
Will the standalone PS3 be cheaper?
Comment by Mick — Jul 12, 2007 @ 4:10 pm
Tony - Are you sure the US store gets the trailers a day before the European store? I checked the US store last night and there was nothing new!
Comment by reakt — Jul 12, 2007 @ 4:11 pm
@ 4, I agree - can’t be that hard to release them at the same time. All of this was on the US store straight after the conference.
@ 7, the price announcement will be made today in the US but I think with the time difference it will be tomorrow before we know anything.
Comment by Tom Eccles — Jul 12, 2007 @ 4:14 pm
@8 Well I checked the U.S Store at around 10.30 and they were all on there. Downloaded them all by about 1am. Interestingly though I reached a ‘download limit’- must’ve been around 20 downloads in the background when it wouldn’t let me queue any more.
Comment by Tony Nibbles — Jul 12, 2007 @ 4:22 pm
I’ve downlaoded this conent and more from the PSN of America.
As Allways, Sony piss on Europe.
I’m really angry.
Comment by Roger — Jul 12, 2007 @ 4:22 pm
Sorry to be annoying but UK time is GMT +0. Stands for Greenwich Mean Time
, Greenwich is a town in the UK. They told the time from the sun using an observatory in Greenwich.
Comment by Rob — Jul 12, 2007 @ 4:40 pm
@10 20 things downloading! That must be a record! Unfortunately I can only download 15gb per month with my current ISP. I’ll have to choose my downloads carefully when I get home!
Comment by reakt — Jul 12, 2007 @ 4:47 pm
Indeed, release the trailers globally at the same time. Microsoft has done so two years in a row now.
Why can’t Sony do it? I’m amazed and disappointed. It’s things like this which make me feel that Europe doesn’t matter to Sony. Now I’m going to watch some E3 trailers and play some E3 demos on my 360 instead!
Comment by Mattias — Jul 12, 2007 @ 4:56 pm
Guys, remember it’s not always US first, Europe second. Remember that we got the “Time Attack” update for Motorstorm a couple of days before our friends across the pond got it!
Comment by reakt — Jul 12, 2007 @ 5:08 pm
once again… sony just don’t get it… especially as they released most of that content to the entire web YESTERDAY… and yet they feel it’s fine to make their most interested stakeholders (PS3 owners that paid a premium to get the machine early with a PSN account) wait until last.
You can’t keep bl**dy doing things this way… for crying out loud… if we can access things on the internet, we should be able to see them on the PSN.
Very often trailers are on Xbox live FIRST…and they are released in most territories at the same time.
I really thought last week that sony were going to ‘get it’ and give us content in a timely manner….
I reckon no one at SCEE could be bothered to stay last night and push the button.
If you are going to have a global product (region free) based around a global community (gamers on the web, home, and global game servers within the PSN) THEN YOU HAVE GOT TO PULL YOUR FINGER OUT AND COMMUNICATE GLOBALLY. When your major competitor manages it so effortlessly, you’ve really got no excuse.
HOWEVER - the tone of the press conference was spot on… and the games looked amazing. If MS didn’t make sony look BASIC when it comes to global marketing communications, then there’d be nothing to worry about.
Comment by jamie — Jul 12, 2007 @ 5:18 pm
I agree with you Europeans on this. Why SCEE continues to piss all over you guys in beyond me. Now I am hearing that there will be no price drop for the PS3 in Europe, just a bundle. The bundle is a very good deal but they should offer the system by itself at a reduced price.
The bundle has an extra Sixaxis, and MotorStorm and Resistance for $599 Euros.
Maybe they thought you guys would be asleep. Just get an American account and you do not have to put up with the BS that SCEE gives you.
The trailers look amazing on my 50″ Panny. Give me some demos Sony.
I hear rumors of Heavenly Sword demo coming 2day. We will see.
Comment by GodisaMyth — Jul 12, 2007 @ 5:36 pm
These things have to go through the proper channels before uploading it. MS waits untill all regions are ready.
Comment by Chad — Jul 12, 2007 @ 5:38 pm
@12. GMT+1 means Greenwich Mean Time plus one hour (ie, BST).
Cheers
Comment by Three Speech — Jul 12, 2007 @ 6:12 pm
+1 to everyone moaning.
It’s just not damn good enough!
Comment by Tony Nibbles — Jul 12, 2007 @ 6:27 pm
@12 The UK is currently in BST (British Summer Time) Which is GMT +1. GMT also stands for Greenwich Meridian Time, as the Greenwich Meridian is there, which I am sure you know is 0 degrees latitude. It is where all time zones are referenced from. Also i think you’ll find people have been telling the time from the sun for thousands of years, Greenwich didn’t come up with that, but they did come up with the modern concept of global time zones.
Comment by MightyFlea — Jul 12, 2007 @ 6:46 pm
+1 for the people who hate the delay in updates for europe
Comment by Kiki — Jul 12, 2007 @ 7:50 pm
We are indeed a nation of moaners and selfish pricks. Me, me, me. I want this, I want that. That’s not fair, they got theirs…Well I’ve got news for you. You’ll get over it. You’ll grow old. You’ll become patient. Then you’ll be a grumpy old git. Then you die. Which is just fucking marvelous.
Comment by Mick — Jul 12, 2007 @ 7:56 pm
wow i did’nt know how much europian people are a bunch of babies, ITS 1 DAY! Damn settle down wow!
Comment by Chad28 — Jul 12, 2007 @ 9:10 pm
Well, it’s all there now, with unexpected demos of Nucleus and Ninja Gaiden Sigma arriving too. Better late then never eh?
Comment by Arwin — Jul 12, 2007 @ 10:17 pm
AMAZING how you europians seem to skip over the fact you guys have nucleus and we don’t! we heven’t even got the trailer or starter pack for it!!! maybe they waited a single day so they can bring you an actual GAME ahead of North americans!!! CRY BABIES!!!
Comment by CrashSharc — Jul 12, 2007 @ 10:52 pm
Great Trailers. My favourite by far is the WipeOut HD one. I’ve watched it many times. It’s not as graphically impressive as the MetalGear one (althought the graphics are still amazing though). However, it’s more entertaining than the MGS one! It’s a really-well put-together trailer with great music, direction and just the right length. I love it.
Comment by reakt — Jul 13, 2007 @ 9:24 am
…And of course the “Killzone 2″- and “Uncharted”-Trailers are NOT available in our German PSN…
which still treats us as if we all were just a bunch of 12 year old kiddies, and would surely suffer from the extremeeeeee *violence* in these trailers ! ^_°!
And yepp, I’m still fed up with the fact that (with my 27 years of age) I’m actually NOT ALLOWED to download the “Resistance - Map Pack” from “my location” (!) >:(
(the expression used according to Resistance’s Internal-Download-Service (!))

[...] Those of you who are upset that the EU PSN Store didn’t update with any E3 trailers yesterday, don’t fret. We’ll be seeing some of the videos that appeared on the US Store yesterday appearing at around 5pm BST (GMT +1). We’re happy to see the content come to the EU stores, but wonder why it wasn’t done simultaneously with the US releases. There’s the possibility that Sony noticed the European responses to the content drop and decided to remedy the situation. Here’s the list of content that ThreeSpeech has reported will be released today: [...]
