In addition, Polyphony are creating a new GT trailer, which will debut on the PSN next week.

Nice. Any chance of getting the full E3 presentation on PSN?

What, so Pain the actual game is out tomorrow? Cool.
Comment by davidjs_uk — Jul 11, 2007 @ 9:13 pm
When you say “new games”, do you mean that Wipeout HD will be playable tomorrow? If that’s true then I might just get up and dance a silly little dance… don’t tell me it’s just a trailer.
Comment by Tanhauser — Jul 11, 2007 @ 9:14 pm
Apologies, all new content tomorrow will be trailers.

As usual, nothing but disappointment and broken promises..
Does anyone still believe the junk posted here? Wrong screenshots, unreliable information.
The funniest thing, crap sites Joystiq are actually more accuate, than this “semi-official” blog…

What, so the trailer for Pain is out tomorrow? Slightly less cool, but thanks for replying.

So, when does tomorrow start? According to my clock it’s already 9:26 into tomorrow (CET) and I haven’t seen anything yet. Are we going to wait until the regular Friday updates?
I’m a little bit disappointed - I really had hoped we would get the press conference or at least the main clips of it downloadable right after the press-conference, but from the looks of it that was for the U.S. only. I think you have to start treating these kinds of events as global. Sure I watch them through gamespot live, as I’ve done for years, but it would be nice if I could rely on the PSN for getting the high quality versions of the trailers shortly after. Never mind getting some demos to us.
Other than that, I thought it was a great E3 for Sony - a fairly coherent show, with nice Home transitions which is looking really good, and it is definitely showing some the games that I am looking forward too.
That said, there were so many things that I was looking forward to that actually weren’t there. Where was Lair, or the EyeToy, for instance? But I suppose it leaves a lot of stuff for the Playstation Preview event, Leipzig and TGS, and I can understand not being willing to show some of the more cutting edge EyeToy stuff to make sure Microsoft doesn’t catch up too early (like you cleverly did with Home).

ThreeSpeech has a habit of announcing things that are coming, and they never do.
I really hope the GT5 trailer does come.

It’s half 12 and still nothing. Sony’s total indifference towards Europe is really starting to piss me off. I can understand why non-English speaking countries might have to wait for dubbing/subtitling, but apart from the PAL conversion (which should be done in no time) there’s really no reason for us not to get these fresh off the press like the US does. It’s like Sony’s deliberately trying to alienate the UK, its most loyal market, between this and the dearth of downloadable games and demos up right now. Sort it out.

@14. The only news we have is that the PSN in Europe will be updated this afternoon.

Why does Europe get shafted all the time?
I’m sick of getting messed around with your crappy PSN in the UK.
Have you looked at Live today
Blue Dragon Demo
Ace Combat Demo
Stuntman Demo
Some other demo i don’t care about but still another demo
Shed loads of HD trailers i’ve been downloading all day.
What’s on PSN, oh yeah, bugger all as usual.
You had an excuse today to flood PSN with some content, but hell no of course not, well not in the UK anyway. The US, of course they can get what they want, they don’t get shafted every day like we do.
Compared to live the service is a shambles, i’d happily pay to get a much better service, ultimately though Sony said we’d get a Live style service without paying a penny, and what we have so far is nowhere near.
I like my PS3, but sony seem to try as hard as possible to annoy their customers in the UK
- Barely any content on PSN
- PS1 game downloads months after everyone else, and we only get 3!
- Key games delayed by weeks in the UK dispite coming out on time for the 360, cough cough the darkness (still not out), and Spiderman 3
All this nonsense has just pushed me further and further into the 360 camp, not because MS have done anything special but because Sony have done everything so badly, whereas MS have just carried on as normal.
Lair, and Heavenly Sword better deliver, and the Xmas lineup better be good.

Thanks for the feedback. Let me know when the stuff has arrived, I’ll be watching this on RSS. Then I’ll try to remote access PSN through PSP and start the downloads while I’m still at work.
