Despite being a pre-prealpha in Guerrilla Games’ words, it’s the game that stole the show and made Sony win E3 2007. I can’t believe how good it looks AND feels! Congratulations!

They really pulled it off, but it needs work. I hope the beta, or finished game, whenever that comes that will be finely tuned.

I wasn’t particularly impressed with the trailer (after all, cinematics can be impressive without creating a good game), but seeing the actual gameplay demo made my jaw drop… it’s actually as good as I’d hoped

I have to say that I have both a 360 and PS3 and when I saw this I instantly thought of 3 words….
Gears of War.
It’s already been done just as well months ago… As a PS3 owner I get frustrated that there are no games that I can’t already get cheaper on the 360…. For example, I read some mag a couple of months back saying oblivion was the best game so far on the PS3… Great, but I had that months and months ago on 360… Come on Sony.. You should be leading the way, not playing catch up…!!

It’s all a bit meh really, I mean what’s new it’s all been done.
Having said that I can see the appeal if they really polish it up and make the graphics and gameplay seamless. After all thats the point of sequels, right? (well, apart from to milk a franchise for all it’s worth)

Man this game looks awesome, i can’t wait…all the consoles combined means im going to have TONNES of fun!

Im in bed with all three consoles
(pssst pc leads the way in graphics…)
so i also have one!
go crysis…..
anyway geurilla needs to be congratulated on this one, that trailer sure is a spectacle, lets hope they worked as long on the gameplay mechanics (cause the first killzone was appaulling, in my opinion) i dont care who wins the ‘fanboy war’ as long as people keep buying i will keep having fun
keep on peddling guys! keep on peddling

What does this have over the first game?
More polygons.
They’ve cut the clips together so quickly you don’t get any prolongued footage of the gameplay. The snippets you do get show no progression since the first FPSs on the PS2.
I have no idea what most of the posts on here are talking about. this looks like a very tired, on-the-rails experience. Atleast gears of war (of which i quite liked, but it wasn’t amazing) had the innovative duck-and-cover thing. I didn’t see anything innovative about this game from that trailer.
Ignoring the cinematic, non-playable sections, the environments are dull and grey and the animation clunky (apart from a few brief motion captured bits).
You’re all raving about it, but point out one thing this game has that others don’t.

It looks very nice, but as a PS1 & 2 owner, I’m pretty disappointed with Sony’s attitude to PS3 in Europe. Maybe at least a year before I consider buying. Sony really needs a kick up the backside to stop treating their previous success with PS1/2 as guaranteed for PS3, as that’s seriously not the case. 2c.

It’s very grey. Grey, grey, grey, grey grey.

The whole lead-up to the ground battles was very nice.
As for gameplay, the only new thing seems to be the ability to hide with your back against a wall, put your gun over your head, and shoot behind you. That’s pretty cool and may suppress people a little in multiplayer but probably won’t help you much in singleplayer.
Apart from that, it’s obviously just Wolfenstein version 4032.

On the graphics front, this game does look gorgeous. I downloaded the HD-trailer on my PS3 and it looked really sharp. That said, this game doesn’t particularly excite me or make me want to buy it.
Don’t get me wrong, I really like the FPS genre, but this doesn’t seem like it’s doing anything new. I agree with ‘Kid Camel’s comment that it all seems very, very grey and it looks like just another FPS rolled off the production line.
I think this will be the case for most of the games that come out for the first year or two with the PS3 - until the programmers get really familiar and then really clever with what they’re doing, every game that comes out is going to be exactly like the ones that came years before it, except in HD.
