In response to the queries about when you’re going to be able to get your hands on the forthcoming downloadable titles, here’s some provisional dates for the UK / Europe (though they may be subject to change):
Calling all Cars - May 25th
Nucleus - June 1st
Super Stardust HD - June 15th
Nice to see thanks.
Thought you should know that there is an update for EU OS to 1.7? any clues whats in it?
Can’t see any difference
Thought we were getting wallpaper feature etc.

Hi threespeech
time for posting this, but not for the 1.7 update
btw SONY i want to use my singstar-collection on my PS3,which still doesn’t work.
Comment by Darkie — Apr 19, 2007 @ 10:28 am
Nice - this is the kind of stuff we want on ThreeSpeech!

And they’ll all come out at around Christmas time in Europe, right?
Comment by Jax Myth — Apr 19, 2007 @ 11:21 am
What are you guys thinking? There’s a new title on XBLA every week without fail.
A long way to catch up!
Comment by Neil — Apr 19, 2007 @ 11:45 am
Cool stuff, could you ask them when or if we’re going to be able to download old PSOne games for the PSP? I was really looking forward to this feature but there’s no sign of it on the UK store.
Comment by Ben Furneaux — Apr 19, 2007 @ 11:53 am
Thanks, that awesome. My idiotic comment the other day is still being eaten.
Comment by Joakim Hagdahl — Apr 19, 2007 @ 11:54 am
Yay, be happy - you have access to the store. Poland and 20 other EU and non-EU countries still lack the access to the PS3 Store.
Would be great if we would recieve an official statement from SONY, telling that we either recieve access in a short time, or not get access at all…
That way i’d know wether to sell my PS3 and get back into PC bussiness or not.
Comment by arabek — Apr 19, 2007 @ 12:14 pm
Nice…
Would be nice if we could get some information about other stuff coming to psn. There still a lot of trailers and demos that are avaliable on other psn stores that has not found it’s way to the eu psn store yet. And where are the ps1 downloadable games?
Comment by Russ Johnson — Apr 19, 2007 @ 12:16 pm
Too late IMO, Sony are too slow in getting this stuff too us.
Comment by Anthony — Apr 19, 2007 @ 12:41 pm
How about some release dats for us UK folk who don’t even have the Joy of Mortal Kombat II yet? :O(
Comment by Dan — Apr 19, 2007 @ 12:41 pm
too late IMO, Sony is too low in getting good content to us.
Comment by Anthony — Apr 19, 2007 @ 12:41 pm
We need a regularly updated user news feed from SONY - not the corporate-press-release-type stuff thats online now - SONY never mentioned tha Super Rub a Dub didn’t wotk with non-english system langueage - they just removed it from PSN and put it back after a while. More info, please - and timely!
We need a support community that works with the PSN browser or is born for it in fact, we need a message based hotline in the machine, we need an RSS reader and a podcast client, we need the ability to stream audio and gameplay across the house etc.etc.

Are these US dates or UK?
Comment by Torgo — Apr 19, 2007 @ 4:53 pm
Thanks for the update
any news on when we might see Mortal Kombat 2 over in the UK?

Since when did 360 fanboys come spreading their sadness around here? Anthony go cry some where else.
Sony updates the PS Store with new content every Thursday.

Since when does complaining about something make me a 360 fanboy? Ive never owned a 360 in my life! If want to air my views about Sony shop good or bad that’s my right to do so.
Narrow-minded twit.
Comment by Anthony — Apr 19, 2007 @ 7:25 pm
Well, thanks for the update and at least you guys are listening to us, but…
So, no new games this week, not even Super-Rub-A-Dub for the US? The ps1 games already in the PSN store don’t need much work to be playable on the ps3… what’s going on? Sony couldn’t prep even one ps1 game for the 1.7 update? The ps3 has me hooked on small downloadable games, now it just needs to release them every once in a while. Crappy old Amiga and arcade games do count too!
If I thought I could buy a 360 and have it last more than a month, I’d be seriously thinking about it right about now…
Comment by androvsky — Apr 20, 2007 @ 4:11 am
What about a changelog or “coming soon” tab for the psn? i still have about 60 Euro in my wallet to spend, it is just the lack of content…

Typing this from my PS3.. Xbox fanboys, try doing that. heh. Anyways, Threespeech.. can we get some updates on the following please? Home Beta sign ups (it’s well near the end of April soon), In-game XMB access (streaming music, in-game video chat?), where’s the new HD Eye Toy?, the current percentage of backwards compatibility with the new 1.70 firmware. Thanks!

Firmware 1.7 makes downloadable PS1 games compatible. Now how about making some available to Europe?
Final Fantasy VII would be nice!
Comment by Andronix — Apr 21, 2007 @ 11:07 pm
When is the Playstation Store going to start uploading more Cinema/Blu-Ray trailers in 1080p. I would love to see Spider-Man 3, Transformers and Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End on there.
Comment by Jamie Kelwick — Apr 22, 2007 @ 9:24 pm
lol, sony make me laugh! before they release these ps1 (old) games, why the hell do they not sort out the important things like getting all my ps2 games to sodding work … im very piss at sony they are a bunch of cheeky monkeys!
Comment by Hammer — Apr 26, 2007 @ 10:23 am
Well I can say you are wrong with the first 2 games.
Neither have appeared in Europe at this time.
