Here’s the latest film in the PS3 ’stories’ series. This one has footage of the motion capture process used for making Heavenly Sword. The video shows how body and facial movements from actors have been translated into the characters of the game.

By the way, Heavenly Sword developers recently stated that they’ve finished the alpha stage where all the game content is ready and now they’re going to enter the beta stage and start polishing it, so what you see here is alpha footage. It will definately get better!

I didn’t realise until now that Andy Serkis is voice acting the King as well as providing the motion, I should of recognised the voice in the early trailer! The facial animation should match up nicely.

Good - but the techniques they used to make a game isnt going to make people buy a PS3 is it? Anyway, props for not having that annoying voiceover.

Andy Serkis?!? Wow. His name sells me that game.
It’s shaming I know, but I loved his work as Gollum. So much effort…
I liked the segment on heroes too!
