You might have seen this clip doing the rounds, but here’s the high-res version, which goes that bit further in allowing you to experience the sheer scale of PlayStation’s latest innovation. Stunning stuff, we reckon.

Home looks amazing. This is definatly the Live killer that Sony has been needing.

The question is, how much will you be willing to spend to build a impressive, bespoke virtual environment to invite your friends round to?

I’m guessing you’ve seen the PA strip?
Oh lol. Home really does look quite amazing, I think most would know raise a glass to Sony this week.
Speaking of which, the shops are now filled with PS3 ads, for the launch in two weeks time. It’s really quite exciting!

I’m really excited for HOME. It has a lot of potential.

Will the ‘Home’ include such things as pets - maybe a nintendogs kind of pull to get people to log-on every day - and a way of showing of tricks learnt by pets - maybe tied in within game achievements/milestones
Will there be a downloadable version of games magazines, that you could subscribe to, get delivered to the ‘Home’ which you could then view on the tv - or transfer to a pda to read on the move - the death of magazines as we know it???

I have to say the HOME concept seems intriguing, but I’m skeptical at the bandwidth performance of this type of service. is it mainly server based? is it mainly peer to peer? or a combo of both?
Please get someone from the SCEE technology team to respond to this.

Could someone show me how I get the high-res version, the one shown is nowhere near 720p.
