I'm sorry, but this is a ridiculous statement. No gaming store (and I work at one) actually makes a significant amount of money off of a console. The range for them is usually 10-30 dollars (I'm in the States). The price that we sell the systems for is dictated by the company, so my store can't even raise the price to make more (not that we would).
