Currently, the PS3 allows for a certain allocation of HDD space to the "Other OS" like Yellow Dog Linux 5.0. Are there plans to enable users to allocate that HDD space ourselves? Currently it is 10 or 50 gigs (on the 60gb) to the "Other OS" leaving the rest to the PS3 OS.

For example Coraid's Etherdrive appliances shouldn't be too difficult to use with PS3 and Linux. ATA over Ethernet via Linux kernel driver in PS3 would make possible dozens of terabytes of disk space :)

It's whole different story where would you need such space.
